Investigation on the Analysis of Transmission Line with Frequency Dependent Lossy Term

  • The increaseing speeds are accompanied by decreases in pulse rise and fall time in VLSI circuits. These accenturate the high frequency spectral contents of the signals and cause the frequency dependent loss of the conductors which interconnect the various sub-circuits composing of VLSI circuit. The lossy effect is approximated by the square root of frequency dependence of the per unit length resistance. In the practical applications, several problems may arise along with this approximation, so we extend our investigation of the lossy effect by numerical Laplace inversion method.

  • In the first step of the LIGA process a resist layer, typically PMMA(polymethylmethacrylate), is pattered by deep X-ray lithography. Then the exposed parts are dissolved by an organic developer. To describe the developer. To describe the development course the parameters influencing the development process was investigated. The developed depth is proportional to the square root of the development time which suggests that the development rate increases with increasing dose value and temperature. So the development course can be described by a phenomenological equation.

  • It was observed that the time-dependent sheath which was formed around the planar target biased by negatively voltage pulse with a finite rise time in the plasma source ion implantation. F\Results show that the time-dependent sheath consisted of two parts: the ion matrix sheath development during the pulse rise time and the dynamic sheath motion after attaining the full pulse. The ion matrix sheath development which is in proportion to square root of the pulse time and the pulse rise rate over the plasma density but independent of the ion mass. The dynamic sheath propagates with approximately the ion sound speed.

  • 이 논문은 NFxLMS (normalized filtered-x least mean square) 적응 필터기반의 실시간 ANC (active noise control) 무선 헤드셋에 관해서 연구한다. RMS (root mean square) 지연 분포를 측정한 후 채널을 보정해서 학습시간을 줄이고, 학습 시간동안 NFxLMS 필터 계수를 갱신해서 잡음 제거 필터의 수렴속도를 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법을 실제 잡음 환경에서 이용할 경우에 짧은 학습 시간과 빠른 수렴속도를 가지면서 기존 잡음 제거기와 비슷한 성능을 가지는 잡음 제거기를 구성할 수 있다.

ARMA Modeling for Nonstationary Time Series Data without Differencing

  • For possibly nonstationary autoregressive moving average, modeling based on the original observations rather than the differenced observations is considered. Under this scheme, sample autocorrelation functions, parameter estimates, model diagnostic statistics, and prediction are all computed from the original data instead of the differenced data. The methods and results established under stationarity of data are shown to naturally extend to the nonstationarity of one autoregressive unit root. The sample ACF and PACF can be used for ARMA order determination. The BIC order is strongly consistent. The parameter estimates are asymptotically normal. The portmanteau statistic has chi-square distribution. The predictor is asymptotically equivalent to that based on the differenced data.

Integer-Valued HAR(p) model with Poisson distribution for forecasting IPO volumes

  • In this paper, we develop a new time series model for predicting IPO (initial public offering) data with non-negative integer value. The proposed model is based on integer-valued autoregressive (INAR) model with a Poisson thinning operator. Just as the heterogeneous autoregressive (HAR) model with daily, weekly and monthly averages in a form of cascade, the integer-valued heterogeneous autoregressive (INHAR) model is considered to reflect efficiently the long memory. The parameters of the INHAR model are estimated using the conditional least squares estimate and Yule-Walker estimate. Through simulations, bias and standard error are calculated to compare the performance of the estimates. Effects of model fitting to the Korea's IPO are evaluated using performance measures such as mean square error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) etc. The results show that INHAR model provides better performance than traditional INAR model. The empirical analysis of the Korea's IPO indicates that our proposed model is efficient in forecasting monthly IPO volumes.

Correction of Coordinate Discontinuities Caused by GPS Antenna Replacements

  • Antennas at permanent GPS stations operated by the former Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs (MOGAHA) in Korea were replaced in years 2008 and 2009, and these changes caused abrupt discontinuities in precise coordinate time series. In this study, an algorithm that eliminates those breaks was developed based on 15-year-long coordinate time series for the purpose of creating clean and continuous coordinate time series. The newly developed algorithm to correct for sudden jumps and dips in the GPS time series due to the antenna change was designed to consider all the linear and annual signals observed before and after the event. The accuracy of the new algorithm was confirmed to be at the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) level of 2.3-2.6 mm. The new algorithm was also found to be capable of reflect site-specific characteristics at each station.

Investigation of the Annealing Time Effects on the Properties of Sputtered ZnO:Al Thin Films

  • ZnO:Al transparent conductive films were deposited on glass substrates by RF magnetron sputtering technique and annealed by rapid thermal annealing system. The influence of annealing time on the structural, electrical, and optical properties of ZnO:Al thin films was investigated by atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Hall method and optical transmission spectroscopy. As the annealing time increases from 0 to 5 min, the crystallinity is improved, the root main square surface roughness is decreased and the sheet resistance is decreased. The lowest sheet resistance of ZnO:Al thin film is 90 ohm/sq. The reduction of sheet resistance is caused by increasing carrier concentration due to substituent Al ion. All films are transparent up to 80% in the visible wavelength range and the adsorption edge is a blue-shift due to Burstein-Moss effect with increasing annealing time.

SBAS 이동측위 정확도 분석 (Accuracy Analysis of Kinematic SBAS Surveying)

  • SBAS(Space-Based Augmentation System)는 광역보정항법시스템(WADGPS, Wide Area DGPS)으로써 지역 보정항법시스템(LADGPS, Local Area DGPS)의 단점을 보완한 위성항법 보정시스템이다. 이 연구에서는 GPS 측위의 대표적인 방법인 실시간 이동측위(RTK; Real-Time Kinematic), DGPS(Differential GPS) 측위, 단독측위(Standalone)와 SBAS 이동측위를 실시하고 그에 따른 측위 정확도 비교를 통해 SBAS 이동측위의 성능을 분석하였다. 정지측위 결과 산출한 좌표를 참값으로 간주하였고, 각각의 측위방법으로 획득한 관측데이터를 참값과 비교하여 계산한 2차원 평균제곱근(RMS: Root Mean Square)오차와 3차원 RMS 오차를 정확도 비교의 지표로 사용하였다. 그 결과, 각 측위방법에 따른 3차원 RMS 오차는 RTK 측위 13.1cm, DGPS 측위 126.0cm, 이중주파수 단독측위 135.7cm, 단일주파수 단독측위 428.9cm, 그리고 SBAS 측위 109.2cm로 나타났다. 이를 통해 SBAS 측위의 정확도가 DGPS 측위 정확도와 대등한 수준임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 앞선 연구를 통해 선정된 최적 입력 자료 조합을 이용하여 한강수계의 왕숙천과 금강유역의 갑천에 대한 Takagi-Sugeno 퍼지기법과 신경망을 연계한 뉴로-퍼지 홍수예측 모형을 구축하였다. 구축된 뉴로-퍼지 홍수예측 모형을 한강수계의 왕숙천과 금강유역의 갑천에 적용하여 30분, 60분, 90분, 120분, 150분, 180분의 선행시간에 대해 각각 홍수예측을 수행하였다. 선행시간별 예측수위를 관측수위와 비교한 결과 안정되고 정확도 높은 홍수예측을 하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 추가적으로 정량적 평가를 위해 평균제곱근 오차(Root Mean Square Error)와 같은 통계지표를 산정하여 모형의 적용성을 검증하였다. 검증 결과 모든 통계지표에서 큰 오차 없이 성공적으로 홍수예측이 모의됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과는 향후 중소하천에서 충분한 선행시간을 확보한 정확도 높은 홍수정보시스템의 구축에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
