Baxed on the results tested by various researchers, a complete stress-strain relation of plain and confined concrete is proposed. The peak strength and the corresponding strain are calculated by using the Mohr-Coulomb theory and elastic tri-axial constitutive relation. A parametric study was conducted to assess the influence of the plain concrete strength, the degree of confinement, the shape of the section, and the tie configuration for the square section. According to this model, the behavior of concrete section is predicted, and compared with experimental data and other proposed models on circular and square sections. A good agreement between theoretical and experimental results is observed.

This paper describes the energy absorption of a square tube under axi compression by using the finite element method. The purpose of this study is to analyze the plan of central area in Pienza town. The nucleus of the plan was the principal square with the surrounding buildings - Cathedral, Piccolomini, Episcopal and Communal palace, focused attention on the first city plan of the Renaissance. The results of study are as follow: 1. The plan of central area in Pienza town is formed by relation with each other, in which theory including the "De re aedificatoria" of Alberti and practical plan of Pienza were united. 2. Though the plan of Pienza is not total city planning for new function and system, it has a many influence for city planning, square type and building disposition, through new project method as a result of prospective at central area in Pienza town 3. The square plan is formed of centripetal role to integrate with harmony the partial units of each other from diverse elements in scale, function, style and type of buildings, in which it can characteristics of the beginning of Renaissance. 4. Not only composition of plan, elevation and section of the Cathedral, Piccolomini and Episcopal palace, but composition of opennings are formed of proportional system of 1:1, 1:${\surd}$2, 1:2 etc.. And such proportional systems is composed of relation with each other in harmony, deciding width, length and height from among part and part, whole and part for spatial and formal composition.

This paper presents the free vibration analysis of a circular plate with a concentric square hole. The present problem deals with the numerical calculation of the natural frequencies and mode shapes of vibration of the structure by means of Independent Coordinate Coupling Method (ICCM). In this study, the boundary condition is the edge of the square hole is free and the outer circular plate is simply supported. Due to the geometric abnormality, this analysis does not permit an exact solution. Since the ICCM employs coordinate systems corresponding to each domain independently, the kinetic and potential energy expressions necessary for the Rayleigh-Ritz method can be easily obtained. Lastly, the kinematic relation is imposed. In this way, the eigenvalue problem can be easily set up. The numerical results show the efficacy of the ICCM and changes in natural frequencies and modes due to the square hole size.

본 연구는 우리나라 초등학생들의 함수적 사고 능력의 실태를 알아보고자, 다섯 가지 유형의 함수적 관계로 구성된 검사지를 이용하여 2, 4, 6학년 학생 총 2087명의 반응을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 함수적 관계에 대한 학생들의 이해는 지역규모나 성별에 따라 큰 차이가 나타나지 않았으며, 통계적으로도 유의미한 차이를 보이지는 않는 것으로 드러났다. 반면, 과제 유형이나 문제 상황별로는 학생들의 이해 정도에 다소 큰 차이가 나타났으며, 이러한 차이에 주의를 기울일 필요가 있음이 드러났다. 특히, x의 값이 임의의 수(${\Box}$)로 주어졌을 때 y값을 구하는 문항에서의 정답률은, x의 값이 큰수로 주어졌을때 y값을 구하는 문항에서의 정답률에 비하여 다소 높게 나타나는 경향이 발견되었다. 본 논문은 이러한 결과들을 토대로 초등학교에서의 함수적 사고 지도 방안에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다.

Association rule mining searches for interesting relationships among items in a given database. Association rules are frequently used by retail stores to assist in marketing, advertising, floor placement, and inventory control. There are three primary quality measures for association rule, support and confidence and lift. In this paper we present the relation between the measure of association based on chi square statistic and the criteria of association rule for nominal database and propose the objective criteria for association.

The purpose of this research was to provide basic data to the welfare policy for the aged by studying the relation of health concern, health behavior, and subjective health condition between the aged and the preliminary aged group. Subjects were composed of a total of 259 (116 males, 143 females) living in seoul, aged 50-64(preliminary old people) and over 65(old people), and they were asked to answer the survey Questionnaires The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, chi-square test, and spearman's correlation coefficient. As a result of the study, the preliminary aged group was significant than the aged group in all three variables. In the relation of health concern and health behavior, there was significance both for the preliminary aged(p〈0.01) and the aged group(p〈0.001). Also, there was significance in the relation of health behavior and subjective health condition of two groups(p〈0.001). However, in the relation of subjective health condition and health concern, there was significance only for the aged group(p〈0.001). For the correlation among three variables, there was significance in the relation between health concern and health behavior and between health behavior and subjective health condition of the preliminary aged group(p〈0.01), but there was significance in the relation between health concern and health behavior and between health behavior and subjective health condition of the aged group(p〈0.01).

The purpose of this research is to exam the attitudes of elderly people to dating. This research also investigates the differences of the elderly's attitudes to dating based on demographic, family relation, and social relation variables. Attitudes to elderly dating in this study included the perception, necessity, and difficulty of elderly dating. The sample consisted of 689 elderly Korean people. Data were analyzed by frequencies, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test, t-test, and F-test. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in elderly attitudes to dating according to demographic, family relation, and social relation variables. The findings of this study are described in the results section and the implications of these research findings are discussed.

Feature selection is very important for feature-based relation classification tasks. While most of the existing works on feature selection rely on linguistic information acquired using parsers, this letter proposes new features, including probabilistic and semantic relatedness features, to manifest the relatedness between patterns and certain relation types in an explicit way. The impact of each feature set is evaluated using both a chi-square estimator and a performance evaluation. The experiments show that the impact of relatedness features is superior to existing well-known linguistic features, and the contribution of relatedness features cannot be substituted using other normally used linguistic feature sets.

Making use of a relation proposed by Wielen (1977), a new empirical relation between Call emission flux and stellar age is derived by analyzing Wilson and Woolley's spectroscopic data (1970) of late type main sequence stars (K0-M5) and kinematic properties of those stars given by Gliese (1969). The proposed relation shows that the emission flux excess of the Call H-K lines, $F_k'+F_k'$ introduced by Linsky et al. (1979) decreases with stellar age $\tau$ as $\tau^{-0.51}$, consistent with the inverse square law as noted by Skumanich (1972).
