부산 지역 약수 및 지하수의 규산성 규소 (Silicate- silicious of Spring Water and Ground Water in Pusan Area)

  • This study was carried out to investigate silicate-silicious in spring water and ground water. Samples were collected from 23 Stations of spring water and 2 Stations of ground water from August 1985 to July 1990 in Pusan area. Range and mean value of silicate-silicious of spring water and ground water were lower 2.12~22.70mg/l, 8.78mg/l, 13.90~19.05mg/l, 16.23mg/l than the criterion for drinking water as 50rng/l. The concentration of silicate-silicious had a great influence on precipitation, therefore it in summer was higher than in winter. The estimated regression line between chloride ion(x) and silicate-silicious(y) of the sampled water was y=19.366-0.604x(r=-0.7111).

온양온천수를 이용한 피부개선 화장품의 개발 (The Study of Development Skin Improvement Cosmetic By Spring Water of Onyang)

  • 온천수는 땅 표면에 자연 용출되거나 인공적으로 시추하여 끌어올린 지하수로서 수온이 그 지역의 연평균 기온 또는 그 지역의 얕은 지층의 지하수 수온보다 높아야 한다. 우리나라는 섭씨 25도 이상을 온천으로 규정하고 있다. 온천수는 일반적으로 혈액순환, 진통완화, 진정작용, 피부미용에 효과가 있는 것으로 널리 알려져 있으며 이것의 효능은 일반적으로 수온과 물속에 포함되어 있는 다양한 미네랄 성분의(Na, Si, Mg 등) 작용으로 알려져 있다. 온양 온천은 우리나라에서 가장 오래된 온천지구로 우리나라의 가장 대표적인 온천중에 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 온천수를 화장품 제형에 적용하여 피부자극테스트를 통하여 피부자극이 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 온양온천수를 이용한 제품에서 8.56%의 경피 수분함유량의 증가와 -67.74%의 상대 경피 수분증발량 감소가 나타나 온양온천수를 활용한 화장품의 피부개선 효과가 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • 절취사면의 붕괴 발생은 지질 및 지형적인 요인과 수리적인 요인 등 매우 다양한 요인들이 복합적으로 작용하여 발생한다. 이 중 수리적인 요인은 지질 및 지형적인 요인과 더불어 사면의 안정성 및 도로통행의 위험성에 중요한 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 사면내의 물은 전단강도의 저하 및 활동력의 증가를 시키며, 이는 사면의 붕괴를 유발한다. 또한 지하수의 용출수는 사면의 안정성 이외에 추가적인 도로유지관리에 문제를 일으킨다. 효율적인 방법으로 용출수 및 지표수를 제어한 사례를 제시하여 실무에 좋은 자료로 이용되고, 더 많은 사례연구가 이루어져 유사한 현장에 적용될 많은 자료가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

鑛泉水 理化學的 水質評價 技法 에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Classification Technique of Natural Mineral Waters by Its Constitution and Physico-Chemical Properties)

  • Natural mineral water is generally quite different from ordinary drinking water due to its original nature and various properties. The complexity of natural mineral water requires, therefore, not only to identify its nature and proper characteristics, but also to classify them by a reasonable scientific basis of comparison. The study was concentrated on a possible classification technique to natural mineral waters by their constitutions and physico-ehemical properties. The classification was carried out by the computation of such numerical parameters as ionic equivalent percentage, electrolytic conductance or mobility, ionic molecular weight, molecular concentration, equivalent conductivity and degree of ionization in consideration of the determinative criteria as follows -particular single element or molecule -major components of natural waters as bicarbonate, sulphate, chloride,caloride, calcium, magnesium, and sodium -moleculat concentration related to blood osmotic pressure -water temperature at emergence from spring -contents of free carbon dioxide (CO2) -pH value of water -total dissolved solids or salts (NaCl) The results obtained proved out to be clearly distinguhhable from ordinary drinking water as far as concern natural mineral water as an example on the subject -simple water -bicarbonate-predominating water -cold spring -carbonated-non gaseous water -weak alkaline water -non saline water Putting these various results together, the sample turned out to be a kind of natural mineral water that can be used as a drinking water if microbiologically safe.

이천 및 포천지역 온천수의 수리화학적 특성 및 영족기체 기원 (Hydrochemistry and noble gas origin of hot spring waters of Icheon and Pocheon area in Korea)

  • 이 연구는 이천과 포천지역 일대에 분포하고 있는 온천에 대하여 화학성분, 산소 및 수소 동위원소, 그리고 헬륨과 아르곤 같은 영족기체의 동위원소 특성을 분석하여 온천별 지화학적 특성을 밝히고, 영족기체의 기원과 지하수의 지화학적 상관성을 해석하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 연구지역에서 7점의 온천수와 가스성분을 채취하였고, 온천공 주변 지하수와 지표수 17개 시료를 채취하여 분석하였다. 연구지역 온천수는 환원성환경의 중성내지는 약알카리성의 pH 특성을 보이고, 전기전도도는 $310{\sim}735\;{\mu}S/cm$ 범위를 보여준다. 온천수의 수온은 $21.5{\sim}31.4^{\circ}C$ 범위로 저온형이며, 성분상 단순온천에 해당된다. 이천지역 온천수는 중성의 pH 조건과 주변지역 지하수와 유사한 $Ca-HCO_3$ 내지는 $Ca(Na)-HCO_3$ 수리화학적 유형을 보이는 반면, 포천지역 온천수는 알카리성의 pH 조건과 $Na-HCO_3$ 유형으로 지화학적으로 상당히 진화된 특성을 보인다. 이천온천수는 우라늄의 함량이 높고, 포천지역 온천수에는 불소의 함량이 높은 것이 특징이다. 온천수의 $\delta^{18}O$${\delta}D$값은 각각 $-8.85{\sim}-10.1%o$$-60.8{\sim}-72.2%o$의 범위로 순환수기원을 보인다. 동위원소 조성을 보면 포천지역 온천수는 지하수에 비해 고지대 함양과 긴 유동경로를 거친 것으로 해석된다. 온천수내 영족기체 동위원소비 분석 결과 $^3He/^4He$ 동위원소비는 $0.094\;{\times}\;10^{-6}{\sim}0.653\;{\times}\;10^{-6}$ 범위를 보인다. 이천지역 온천수는 대기기원의 헬륨이 우세하지만 맨틀(마그마)와 같은 심부기원의 혼합율이 포천지역 온천수보다 높은 특성을 보인다. 포천지역 온천수는 지각기원의 헬륨 혼합율이 높다. 또한 온천수별 동일한 기원의 혼합선상에서도 천부지하수와 심부지하수의 혼합상태에 따라서 서로 다른 $^4He/^{20}Ne$ 비를 보인다. 온천수의 $^{40}Ar/^{36}Ar$ 비는 대기기원의 값과 유사한 범위를 보인다.

  • This study was performed to evaluate Quality of spring water in seoul. After the revision the guideline of water Quality control on July 2002, the ratio of non-passed samples of spring water increased evidently(2001, 24.5%$\rightarrow$2002, 37.5%). So Citizens of Seoul have been worried about what makes the difference between two years. To find out the major reason of that rapid increasement, the experimental results of standard plate count and psychrotrophilic bacteria in seoul were used. (omitted)

육상 양식장 인접해역의 해양학적 환경특성 (Oceanographic Environment Characteristics in Waters Adjacent to Fish Farm on Land)

  • Field observations for research of oceanographic characteristics in waters adjacent to fish farm on land and water quality at area where water is supplied to fish farm and area where water is discharged from fish farm are carried out in coastal waters of Pyoson located in the southeastern region of Jeju Island in March, May, August and November of 2000. Semidiurnal tides to the northeast and southwest dominate. The mean velocities of current around neap tides and spring tides are 8.52cmㆍs$^{-1}$, 28.63cmㆍs$^{-1}$, respectively. The difference of temperature between area where water is supplied to fish farm and area where water is discharged from fish farm is about 0.6$^{\circ}C$. Seasonal variation range for temperature and salinity is 13.5$^{\circ}C$ and 3.5psu, individually. Concentrations of nitrate(NO$_3$$^{-}$), phosphate(PO$_4$$^{3-}$ ), silicate(SiO$_2$) and COD(chemical oxygen demand) are high in autumn. Particularly, concentrations of nitrate and COD in winter and spring at station where water is supplied to fish farm are higher than these at station where water is dischared from fish farm. However, concentration of phosphate and silicate at station where is supplied to fish farm in spring, summer and autumn is higher than that at station where water is dischared from fish farm. Water quality in the study area is grade 1 and this level is kept up in the whole year.

우리나라 온천의 온도 및 성분 특징 (Temperature and Compositional Characteristics of the Hot Spring Water in Korea)

  • We analyzed the temperature and chemical composition of 376 hot springs in Korea. It took about three days for the temperature to stabilize after the pumping test. After the stabilization, in-situ and laboratory analyses of the hot spring water were carried out. The average temperature and TDS were $29.95^{\circ}C$ and 2,071mg/L, respectively. The temperature ranging $25-30^{\circ}C$ were recorded from 70% of hot springs, and $30-35^{\circ}C$ of 15.4%. The maximum temperature was about $78^{\circ}C$. The value of TDS in 79% of the wells was below 1,000 mg/L. 5.5% of the wells, mostly developed near seashore, shows higher values than 10,000mg/L of TDS suggesting the influence of seawater. The hot spring water shows 8.49 of pH representing a weak alkali. For the mineral compositions dissolved in the hot spring in Korea, Na (431 mg/L) and Ca (188 mg/L) are the major cations, and Cl (840 mg/L) and $SO_4$ (213 mg/L) are the major anions.

  • In order to investigate the pathogenic genes and genetic relationships of Y. pseudotuberculosis, we isolated 9 strains of Y. pseudotuberculosis from about 380 spring water sites in Seoul and carried out antibiotic susceptibility test, biological test and molecular typing. All isolated strains were distributed throughout the northeast area in Seoul (Mt. Bookhan, Mt. Soorak, Mt. Boolam and etc...).Antibiotic susceptibility test revealed that all the strains were susceptible to chloramphenicol, gentamicin, neomycin and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid, but were resistant to novobiocin and vancomycin. A STUDY ON THE ELIMINATION OF FLUORIDE IN A HOT SPRING WATER

  • The hot spring water of the north Jeonla province such as Wanggung, Jookrim, Seokjung, and Hwasim, has fluoride concentration of 3.9 mg/L, 12.7 mg/L, 1.9 mg/L, and 6.3 mg/L, respectively. These figures fairly exceed the Korean and WHO standard for potable water, which is 1.5 mg/L. Therefore, in this study, research on elimination of fluoride in a hot spring water of Jookrim region, which has the highest level of fluoride concentration level in the north Jeonla province, was carried out. In analysis of Jookrim hot spring water according to the water quality standard for potable water, pH was very high at 9.25 and the concentration of fluoride was 10 times higher than the standard at 18.2 mg/L. Other measurements were within the standard or not detected. After injecting 10g of activated carbon for elimination of fluoride, the fluoride concentration was measured at 13.5 mg/L, and when 70mL or more of alum 10 g/L solution was injected, the concentration was measured at 2.8 mg/L, and injecting 3g of lime was measured at 9 mg/L. Alum showed the best elimination performance among all individual injections. Injection of 25 mL of activated carbon and 100 mL of alum solution together reduced the fluoride concentration down to 1.3 mg/L, which is under the potable standard. Injection of lime 1g and 75 mL of alum 10 g/L solution together reduced fluoride concentration to 4.1 mg/L. From the modifying HRT, by using ion exchange resin column, the pH was stabilized when HRT was Imin and showed range of $6.7{\sim}7.8$. The fluoride concentration reduced gradually as the HRT increased, and satisfied the potable standard when HRT passed 6 min, and after 30 min HRT, the concentration of fluoride was 0.05 mg/L: almost eliminated.
