가스제트 분무 모델을 이용한 다양한 분사 패턴의 디젤 분무에 대한 CFD 및 0-D 시뮬레이션 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study Between CFD and 0-D Simulation of Diesel Sprays with Several Fuel Injection Patterns Using Gas Jet Spray Model)

  • The CFD simulation of diesel spray tip penetrations were compared with 0-D simulation for experimental data obtained with common rail injection system. The simulated four injection patterns include single, pilot and split injections. The CFD simulation of the spray penetration over these injection patterns was performed using the KIVA-3V code, which was implemented with both the standard KIVA spray and original gas jet sub-models. 0-D simulation of the spray tip penetration with time-varying injection profiles was formulated based on the effective injection velocity concept as an extension of steady gas jet theory. Both the CFD simulation of the spray tip penetration with the standard KIVA spray model and 0-D simulation matched better with the experimental data than the results of the gas jet model for the entire fuel injection patterns.

  • To find suitable injection pressure, ultra high pressure impinging spray characteristics were investigated with a impinging distance and a impinging angle by using high pressure injection system. As impinging distance was increased, spray penetration was decreased but spray height was increased. For increase of injection pressure, spray penetration and spray height were increased until 2,500bar. But over this injection pressure region, the rate of increase was decreased suddenly.

에어리스 스프레이 도장용 노즐 팁 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design of Nozzle Tip for Airless Spray Coating)

  • This study was carried out to design the spray nozzle tip for airless spray coating. Airless spray coating is the process of coating an object with a liquid spray of paint or other fluid. The nozzle tip controls the fluid flow rate and creates back pressure in the system. The nozzle tip also defines the spray pattern by the size and shape of the orifice. The spray pattern of nozzle tip was investigated numerically using ANSYS CFX ver. 14.0. It was observed that performance result of designed nozzle tip was correspond well, compared with that of GARCO nozzle tip.

폐식용유 바이오디젤 연료의 분무특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Spray Characteristics of Biodiesel Derived from Waste Cooking Oil)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of biodiesel derived from waste cooking oil on the spray behavior and macroscopic spray characteristics. To analyze quantitative characteristics of test fuels, injection quantity was measured at various injection pressures and the spray images of injected fuels in the pressurized chamber were obtained by using a high speed camera and image analysis system. Based on the measured spray images, the spray tip penetration and spray cone angle were investigated at various energizing timings and injection pressures. In this work, the experimental results showed that the injection quantity of waste cooking biodiesel indicated the higher quantities than diesel at high injection pressure. As the injection pressure was increased, the spray tip penetrations of biodiesel were higher value than diesel. The difference of penetration between biodiesel and conventional diesel fuel was reduced in accordance with the increase of injection pressure. Also, the spray angles of diesel were larger than that of biodiesel because diesel fuel has lower viscosity than biodiesel. In addition, the spray evolution processes of biodiesel fuel at various injection pressures and the elapsed time after the injection were compared to the conventional diesel fuel.

  • The aim of this work is to investigate the spray and combustion characteristics of dimethyl-ether (DME) at various injection conditions. The spray characteristics such as spray tip penetration and spray cone angle were experimentally studied from the spray images which obtained from the spray visualization system. Combustion and emissions characteristics were numerically investigated by using KIVA-3V code coupled with Chemkin chemistry solver. From these results, it revealed that DME spray had a shorter spray tip penetration and wider spray cone angle than that of diesel spray due to the low density, low surface tension, and fast evaporation characteristics. At the constant heating value condition, DME fuel showed higher peak combustion pressure and earlier ignition timing, because of high cetane number and superior evaporation characteristics. In addition, the combustion of DME exhausted more $NO_x$ emission and lower HC emission due to the active combustion reaction in the combustion chamber. The result shows that DME had a little soot emission due to its molecular structure characteristics with no direct connection between carbons.

관수방법, 관수회수 및 송풍처리에 따른 초화류의 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Method, Number of Times for Spraying and! Ventilation Condition on the Growth in Greenhouse)

  • 본 연구에서는 주행경로의 설정 및 제어가 용이한 고정 경로 방식을 이용한 주행 시스템을 개발하여 온실의 형태, 고랑의 위치 등에 무관하게 자동관수 및 송풍장치에 따른 생육상태를 실험할 수 있는 다목적 자동작업시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템의 성능들을 알아보기 써해 초화류에 대하여 실험한 결과 다음과 같은 결과론 얻었다. 인력두상관수 처리구에서는 전반적으로 생육의 부진을 나타냈으며, 자동관수 처리 중 송풍을 하지 않은 무풍처리구치 경우, 초장 및 엽면적이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 초장의 억제는 저속과 고속송풍처리구에 있어 초장억제 효과가 유의성이 있게 나타났으며, 풍속이 빠를수록 초장억제효과가 높게 나타났다. 줄기의 지름은 송풍을 하지 않고, 자동관수 3회를 한 경우 줄기의 지름이 작은 것으로 나타났다. 엽수는 인력관수나 자동관수 2회 처리에 비하여 3회 처리가 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 생육은 관수회수가 많을수록 생장량이 높게 나타났다.

  • In this study, for carrying out the spray and combustion experiment using a Common Rail Direct Injection(CRDI) system, the controller was fabricated to drive a high speed camera, a injector and a laser beam sequentially at a low cost. CB280 module of one-chip micro processer was used for the controller. In order to confirm responsibility and utility of the controller, the current drive performance, the spray behavior and the injection rate were tested and analyzed under various experimental conditions. As this research results, we found that the fabricated controller was able to control the devices for the spray experiment precisely with the input value in program and it had the dynamic load responsibility and repetition. Also, we found that the injection rates of our experimental results were higher than those of others at the same injection pressure and the controller connected with the laser system and the data acquisition system had validity for carrying out the spray visualization experiment.

  • Marine transportation by ships is characterized by remote, large-volume and lower rates than the others carry system. Ships account for over 80% of all international trading, and marine transportation is an internationally competitive, strategic, and great national important industry. The construction of larger and faster ships has brought about many problems such as cavitations and erosion corrosion. Cavitations and erosion corrosion make damages on materials and leads to break down members due to continuous physical contacts with shock waves and fluids from the generation and extinction of air bubbles in sea water vortex. The steel used for ship constructions was spray-coated with Al wire, and additionally sealed with fluorine silicone sealing material. Results of experiment, corrosion resistance of sealed thermal spray coating was improved, however in cavitation resistance, the large effect was not appeared. Accordingly, this study applied for thermal spray coating to provide better electrochemical characteristics and corrosion resistance in marine environment.

  • In this paper the effect of constituent content on superconductivity and phase in BiPbSrCaCuO system was reported. The zero resistance temperature reaches as high as 100k when dophant Sb was decreased dramatically with increasing Sb content in BiPbSrCaCuO system while the corresponding phase was changed fundamentally.

  • Recently, exhaust gas regulation has been gradually strengthened due to depletion of fossil fuels and environmental problem like a global warming. Due to this global problem, the demand for eco-friendly vehicle development is rapidly increasing. A clean diesel vehicle is considered as a realistic alternative. The common-rail fuel injection system, which is the key technology of the clean diesel vehicle, has adopted injection strategies such as high pressure injection, multiple injection for better atomization of the fuel. In addition, the emission regulations in the future is expected to be more stringent, which a conventional engine is difficult to deal with. One of the way for actively proceeding is the study of alternative fuels. Among them, the bio-diesel has been attracted as an alternative of diesel. So, in this study, spray characteristics of bio-diesel was analyzed in the common-rail fuel injection system with three injectors driven by different operating mechanism.
