  • In this paper, the magnetic properties and the annealing behavior of spin valve structures with Mo(MoN) underlayers were studied for various underlayer thickness. The spin valve structure was Si substrate/Mo(MoN)$(t{\AA})/NiFe(21{\AA})/CoFe(28{\AA})/Cu(22{\AA})/CoFe(18{\AA})/IrMn(65{\AA})/Ta(25 {\AA})$. Mo and MoN films were deposited on Si substrates and their thermal annealing behavior was analyzed. The deposition rate of the MoN thin film was decreased and tile resistivity of the MoN thin films were increased as the $N_2$ gas flow was increased. The variations of MR ratio and magnetic exchange coupling field of spin valve structure were smaller with MoN underlayers than that with Mo underlayers up to thickness of $51{\AA}$. MR ratio of spin valves with Mo underlayers was 2.86% at room temperature and increased up to 2.91 % after annealing at $200^{\circ}C$. Upon annealing at $300^{\circ}C$, the MR ratio decreased about 2.16%. The MR ratio of spin valves structure with MoN underlayers for $N_2$ gas flow 1 sccm was 5.27% at room temperature and increased up to 5.56% after annealing at $200^{\circ}C$. Upon annealing at $300^{\circ}C$, the MR ratio decreased about 4.9%.

  • As the rapid development of the electronics, the demand for portable electronics and wireless sensors is growing faster, also with the increased needs of one material which can power it automatically, and then power the electrical devices. The piezoelectric effect of the PVDF material can be used for this. So in this paper, PVDF multilayer films were made for this aim. Make the PVDF / DMAc solution in the 10% concentration; use the spin coater technique to make films with the optimum process parameters: the spin rate is 1260rpm; the spin time is 70s; the dry temperature is 100$^{\circ}C$; the dry time is 30mins. And also, for obtaining the higher $\beta$-phase crystallinity, put the Ca(NH3)2.4H2O into the PVDF / DMAc solution system.

  • Fluorine-19 NMR solution measurements have been made for various phenyl-fluorinated iron porphyrin complexes. Large chemical shifts for phenyl fluorine signals of iron(III) and iron(II) are observed, and these signals are sensitive to electronic structure. The chemical shift differences in ortho-phenyl fluorine signals between high-spin ferric and low-spin ferric tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)porphyrins are approximately 40 ppm, whereas the differences are approximately 7 ppm between high- and low-spin states of ferrous tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)porphyrin complexes. Analysis of fluorine-19 isotropic shifts for the iron(III) tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl) porphyrin using fluorine-19 NMR indicates there is a sizable contact contribution at the ortho-phenyl fluorine ring position. Large phenyl fluorine-19 NMR chemical shift values, which are sensitive to the oxidation and spin states, can be utilized for identification of the solution electronic structures of iron(III) and iron(II) porphyrin complexes.

  • To reach 100 Gbit/in$^2$ magnetic recording densities in hard disk drives specular enhancement of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) effect in spin valve (SV) films has become one of the indispensable means for application as read elements in recording heads [1]. More recently specular spin valve (SSV) structure containing nano-oxides layers (NOL) were reported [2], where MR enhancement is caused to extended mean free path of majority spin polarized electrons through specular reflection at metal/insulator interfaces [3] in the SV films. • Recent multifunctional two-dimensional material research has triggered huge interests in various modifications for substitution of atoms. Instead of novel metals used as the most popular catalysts, nonprecious transition metals are promising candidates for efficient oxidation-reduction transfers. The recent discovery of $Co@C_2N$ has an alternate possiblity as catalysts for the ORR(Oxygen Reduction Reaction) in DSSc(Dye Sensitized Solar Cell) and OER(Oxygen evolution cobalt oxides). Here we report spin-polarized DFT calculations of the structure doped Iron that is one of ferromagnetism atoms like Co to provide a basic desciption of the ferromagnetism of the elemental metals. The spin-density-funtional results present the most stable state energetically is when having pairwise up/down spin.

  • The $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$) of the incommensurate misfit layer was systhesized from reactant mixture of$La_S_3$,Cr and S at 1273K. Powder X-ray diffration of $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$) was indexed as a complex structure consisted with a monoclinic LaS-sublattice, a triclinic $CrS_{2}$-sublattice and their superlattice. The temperature dependence of sublattice dimension was investigated by the X-ray diffraction analysis at low temperature. The magnetic susceptibility of $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$) was measured between 77K and room temperature using a Faraday balance method. $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$) was paramagnetic on a $\sigma$-H plot at room temperature. The observed effective magnetic moment( p dr) was in fair agreement with the value calculated by spin-only contribution for $Cr^{3+}$ and spin and orbital contribution for $La^{3+}$.

  • Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal carbides/nitrides or "MXenes" belong to a diverse-class of layered compounds, which offer composition- and electric-field-tunable electrical and physical properties. Although the majority of the MXenes, including Ti3C2Tx, are metallic, they typically show semiconductor-like behaviour in their percolated thin-film structure; this is also the most common structure used for fundamental studies and prototype device development of MXene. Magnetoconductance studies of thin-film MXenes are central to understanding their electronic transport properties and charge carrier dynamics, and also to evaluate their potential for spin-tronics and magnetoelectronics. Since MXenes are produced through solution processing, it is desirable to develop deposition strategies such as inkjet-printing to enable scale-up production with intricate structures/networks. Here, we systematically investigate the extrinsic negative magnetoconductance of inkjetprinted Ti3C2Tx MXene thin-films and report a crossover from weak anti-localization (WAL) to weak localization (WL) near 2.5K. The crossover from WAL to WL is consistent with strong, extrinsic, spin-orbit coupling, a key property for active control of spin currents in spin-orbitronic devices. From WAL/WL magnetoconductance analysis, we estimate that the printed MXene thin-film has a spin orbit coupling field of up to 0.84 T at 1.9 K. Our results and analyses offer a deeper understanding into microscopic charge carrier transport in Ti3C2Tx, revealing promising properties for printed, flexible, electronic and spinorbitronic device applications.

  • Let ($X, \omega$) be a closed symplectic 4-manifold. Let a finite cyclic group G act semifreely, holomorphically on X as isometries with fixed point set $\Sigma$(may be empty) which is a 2-dimension submanifold. Then there is a smooth structure on the quotient X'=X/G such that the projection $\pi$:X$\rightarrow$X' is a Lipschitz map. Let L$\rightarrow$X be the Spin$^c$ -structure on X pulled back from a Spin$^c$-structure L'$\rightarrow$X' and b_2^$+(X')>1. If the Seiberg-Witten invariant SW(L')$\neq$0 of L' is non-zero and $L=E\bigotimesK^-1\bigotimesE$ then there is a G-invariant pseudo-holomorphic curve u:$C\rightarrowX$,/TEX> such that the image u(C) represents the fundamental class of the Poincare dual $c_1$(E). This is an equivariant version of the Taubes' Theorem.

  • M$\ddot{o}$ssbauer spectra of hexagonal $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$ single crystals were studied at various temperatures (4-300 K). It was found that the spin states in Fe atoms were parallel to the ${\gamma}$-ray's direction into a single crystal along the caxis. The location of the Fe ion in the 2b site is unusual in an oxide structure and has strong anisotropic lattice vibrations. Moreover, at room temperature, the zero absorption lines of the Fe ions at the 2b site were observed due to fast diffusion motion in a double well atomic potential. The two Fe ions of the single crystal mainly enter into the sites in the mirror plane of the trigonalbipyramidal structure.
