연속류도로 합류영향구간 속도-밀도 상관관계 분석 (Analysis of Speed-Density Correlation on a Merge Influence Section in Uninterrupted Facility)

  • A연속류도로는 교통량-속도-밀도 간에 상호 밀접한 관계가 있기 때문에 연결로교통류가 본선에 합류하게 되면 속도나 밀도가 변할 뿐만 아니라 이들 간의 상관관계를 나타내는 모형식도 달라진다. 따라서, 본 연구는 합류영향권역에서 시공간적으로 연속된 교통자료를 이용하여 속도-밀도 변수간의 상관관계 변화구간을 파악하고, 구간별 변화내용을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 상류 및 합류구간에서는 "Underwood"모형의 지수형태를 보이며, 합류구간을 통과한 하류구간에서는 "Greenshields"모형의 직선형태를 나타내었다. 속도-밀도 상관관계가 변화된 하류변화구간은 연결로와 접속한 3차로의 합류 종점부를 기점으로 하류 100m~500m 범위에서 내측차로로 갈수록 점차 하류방향으로 이동하는 현상을 보였다. 또한, 상류구간, 합류구간, 하류변화구간은 속도-밀도 모형에서 자유속도(상수)와 혼잡밀도에 대한 자유속도비(기울기)가 통계적으로 서로 다른 이질적인 교통류로 나타났다.

Physical Parameter Measurement and Theoretical Target Strength Estimation of Juvenile Cod (Gadus macrocephalus)

  • The contrast (fish body to medium ratio) of density and sound speed were measured to estimate acoustic scattering from small juvenile cod (Gadus macrocephalus) with the Kirchhoff-Ray Mode backscatter model. The density contrast was measured by the density-bottle method and the sound speed contrast was estimated by the time of flight method. The results revealed that the measured density contrasts of juvenile cod varied between 1.003 and 1.029 (mean = 1.014, S.D. = 0.01). On the other hand, sound speed contrasts varied between 1.039 and 1.041 (mean = 1.041, S.D. = 0.001). The relationship between averaged target strength (TS) and total length (TL) established by the model were <$TS_{38kHz}$> = 20log(TL) - 68.8 and <$TS_{38kHz}$> = 20log(TL) - 69.4, respectively.

레이더검지기의 차량궤적 정보기반의 고속도로 밀도산출방법에 관한 비교 (Comparison of Estimation Methods for the Density on Expressways Using Vehicular Trajectory Data from a Radar Detector)

  • PURPOSES : The density in uninterrupted traffic flow facilities plays an important role in representing the current status of traffic flow. For example, the density is used for the primary measures of effectiveness in the capacity analysis for freeway facilities. Therefore, the estimation of density has been a long and tough task for traffic engineers for a long time. This study was initiated to evaluate the performance of density values that were estimated using VDS data and two traditional methods, including a method using traffic flow theory and another method using occupancy by comparing the density values estimated using vehicular trajectory data generated from a radar detector. METHODS : In this study, a radar detector which can generate very accurate vehicular trajectory within the range of 250 m on the Joongbu expressway near to Dongseoul tollgate, where two VDS were already installed. The first task was to estimate densities using different data and methods. Thus, the density values were estimated using two traditional methods and the VDS data on the Joongbu expressway. The density values were compared with those estimated using the vehicular trajectory data in order to evaluate the quality of density estimation. Then, the relationship between the space mean speed and density were drawn using two sets of densities and speeds based on the VDS data and one set of those using the radar detector data. CONCLUSIONS : As a result, the three sets of density showed minor differences when the density values were under 20 vehicles per km per lane. However, as the density values become greater than 20 vehicles per km per lane, the three methods showed a significant difference among on another. The density using the vehicular trajectory data showed the lowest values in general. Based on the in-depth study, it was found out that the space mean speed plays a critical role in the calculation of density. The speed estimated from the VDS data was higher than that from the radar detector. In order to validate the difference in the speed data, the traffic flow models using the relationships between the space mean speed and the density were carefully examined in this study. Conclusively, the traffic flow models generated using the radar data seems to be more realistic.

속도-밀도 모형을 적용한 흔잡통행료 산정 (강변북로를 중심으로) (An Estimation of Congestion Pricing Using Speed-Flow Relationship (Gangbyeon Expressway))

  • 본 논문은 전통적인 경제학적 개념의 수요함수와 비용과의 관계로서 혼잡비용을 추정할 때 어려움을 극복하고 실제 적용 가능한 혼잡비용을 추정하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 속도-밀도 곡선을 이용한 공학적인 방법론을 이용하여 속도에 대한 탄력성을 통해 도로의 소통상황에 따른 실질적으로 적용 가능한 혼잡통행료를 산출하기 위해서 실질 교통량자료를 이용하여 속도, 밀도 및 교통량 관계에 따른 이론적인 혼잡요금을 추정하였다. 또한, 본 논문은 장래 전자통행료징수시스템의 도입을 전제로 속도에 따른 적정혼잡통행료를 산정 하였다 특히 연구대상 지역(강변북로)의 자료를 이용하여 다양한 분석결과 Drake모형이 가장 적합한 것으로 분석되었으며, 산정된 모형을 이용하여 통행속도의 변화에 따른 적정 혼잡통행료를 추정하였다. 본 논문의 분석결과를 임금율법에 적용하여 혼잡통행료를 부과할 경우 44km/h-68krn/h일 때 최적의 혼잡 통행료는 94원에서 3,255원으로 추정되었다. 한계대체율법을 적용한 경우에는 속도가 44km/h-68km/h일 때 최적의 혼잡 통행료는 107원에서 6,381원으로 추정되었다.

혼잡통행료 산정에 관한 연구 - 중국 베이징의 사례 - (A Study on Congestion Toll Pricing: The Case of Beijing, China)

  • 급속한 경제발전에 따라 중국 베이징에서 교통혼잡이 심각한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 혼잡통행료는 도로의 정체를 해결해주는 매우 효율적인 방법인데, 이의 시행에 있어 가장 중요한 과제는 혼잡통행료의 산출모형을 개발하는 것이다. 기존연구와 달리 본 논문은 이론적 논의에 그치지 않고 세 가지의 현실적 문제, 즉, 통행속도와 밀도의 관계, 통행의 시간비용, 최적통행량 산정방법의 도출에 집중하였다. 먼저 회귀분석을 통하여 통행속도와 밀도의 관계를 파악하고, 이어 설문조사 결과를 이용하여 통행의 시간비용을 추정하였다. 또한 수요곡선에 대한 정확한 정보가 없더라도 시행착오를 거쳐서 최적통행량을 산정할 수 있음을 보였다. 마지막으로 베이징 제2순환도로의 혼잡통행료 책정시스템을 설계하고 요금의 적절한 징수방안을 제안하였다.

가변 제한속도 표지판 크기기준 정립을 위한 안개재현 현장실험 (Fog Generated Field Test for Criteria of Sign Size of Variable Speed Limit Signs)

  • OBJECTIVES : A fog generated field test was conducted to analyze the relationship between different sizes of variable speed limit signs and the legibility distance under various fog density conditions. By using this study, appropriate sizes of signs can be selected depending on the density of fog. METHODS : An actual tunnel was selected as the area for this test, as other places cannot maintain the fog condition because of rapid air current. A total 121 subjects were recruited for this test, which took place over the course of four days. The test on the first day was conducted under normal weather conditions for comparison. Visibility-distance detecting sensor was used to measure the visibility distance due to the fog density time, simultaneously with the evaluation of legibility distance by subjects. RESULTS : The test results show the relationship between the different sizes of signs and the legibility distance corresponding to the visibility distance due to both non-fog and fog generated conditions. According to the technical test results, appreciable amount of reduction in legibility distance due to fog was resulted in all sizes of signs. Moreover, the legibility distance is reduced proportionately with the decrease in the visibility distance due to fog. CONCLUSIONS : The results of this study can be used to select appropriate sizes of valuable speed signs under fog conditions. Hence, drivers can expect to have more room to respond to adverse weather conditions, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.

Ninety-two subjects were recruited for this test, which took place during the course of three days. Visibility-distance detecting sensor was used to measure the visibility distance due to the fog density time, simultaneously with the evaluation of legibility distance by subjects. RESULTS : The test results show the relationship between luminance values and the legibility distance corresponding to the visibility distance due to fog. According to the technical test results, lower luminance value such as $7000cd/m^2$ corresponds to less legibility distance compared to higher values such as $20000cd/m^2$ or $40000cd/m^2$. However, the amount of difference between $20000cd/m^2$ and $40000cd/m^2$ is negligible in our test. CONCLUSIONS : The results of this study can be used to select appropriate luminance of valuable speed signs under fog conditions. Hence, drivers can expect to have more room to respond to adverse weather conditions, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.

초음파 비선형 파라메타 B/A의 생체조직에 관한 연구 (A Study on Biological Media of Ultrasonic Nonlinear Parameter B/A)

  • This study deals with the relationship between the magnitude of ultrasonic nonlinear parameter B/A, and sound speed of amount of fat present in biological media to measure B/A system using a wide band ultrasonic transducer. To represent this case, mixtures of egg whites and egg yolk were studied. Even though the differences in density and sound speed of the two egg components were in the range of 1%, B/A increase parabolically as a function of the fat density, which is not in agreement with the Yoshizumi et al's suggestion. In skim milk that does not contain fat, both the B/A and the sound speed increase with the solubility. It is considered that protein could affect these values.

도시고속도로의 진입연결로 접속부내 선형의 밀도예측모형 구축에 관한 연구 (The Linear Density Predictive Models on the On-Ramp Junction in the Urban Freeway)

  • 이 연구는 도시고속도로의 진입연결로 접속부내 선형의 밀도예측모형 구축에 관한 연구로서 실시간 교통특성분석과 선형의 밀도예측모형 구축 및 검증을 통해 밀도예측모형 구축에 있어서 결정계수($R^2$)값이 대체적으로 0.7이상으로 나타나 선형회귀모형구축에 상당히 높은 설명력을 보이는 것으로 나타났고, 선형모형검증에 있어서 상관계수(r)값도 대체적으로 0.8 이상으로 상당히 높은 상관성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 향후 선형의 밀도예측모형을 이용하여 도시고속도로의 진입연결로 접속부내 차량의 밀도추정 및 지체분석에 상당히 유효할 것으로 판단된다.

북극해 운항 중 계측된 빙하중에 대한 분석 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Ice Load Measured during the Voyage in the Arctic Sea)

  • The icebreaking research vessel, ARAON had her second ice trial in the Arctic Sea from 16th July to 12th August 2010. During the voyage, the local ice loads acting on the bow of port side were measured from 14 strain gauges. The measurements were also carried out in ice waters with various ice concentration ratio as well as the icebreaking performance tests. In this study, the ice loads measured during the 'general' operation in ice waters were analyzed. As a first step, the relationship between the location of strain gauges and the ice loads were investigated, and then the possibility for observation of higher ice loads was estimated based on the probability density function. The relationship between the ship speed and the ice load was also investigated. 718 peak stresses data higher than 20 MPa obtained from strain gauges array attached in longitudinally and vertically was analyzed. In general, the ice load increases as the ship speed increases in the low ship speed range, and ice load decreases as the ship speed is greater than a certain speed.
