We propose an improved algorithm for detecting audio watermarks based on a spread spectrum in the spectral domain. Since the energy of a watermark is much smaller than that of the cover audio data, pre-processing to reduce the effect of the cover data is needed to reliably extract watermarks. We introduce a spectral envelope filter as a pre-process that enhances detecting performance by filtering out the intrinsic spectral character of cover data. The proposed watermarking structure can be easily included in the compression system and can extract watermarks from partially decompressed spectral data. Our experimental results demonstrate that with a bit error rate of around 10 dB against general attacks, the proposed detecting scheme works better than detectors without the spectral filter.

Hyperspectral image is widely used for land cover classification because it has a number of narrow bands and allow each pixel to include much more information in comparison with previous multi-spectral image. However, Higher spectral resolution of hyperspectral image results in an increase in data volumes and a decrease in noise efficiency. SAM(Spectral Angle Mapping), a method based on vector inner product to compare spectrum distribution, is a highly valuable and popular way to analyze continuous spectrum of hyperspectral image. SAM is shown to be less accurate when it is used to analyze hyperspectral image for land cover classification using spectral library. this inaccuracy is due to the effects of atmosphere. We suggest a decision tree based method to compensate the defect and show that the method improved accuracy of land cover classification.

A multi-rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system is developed to solve the manhole cover detection problem for the infrastructure maintenance in the suburbs of big city. The visible light sensor is employed to collect the ground image data and a series of image processing and machine learning methods are used to detect the manhole cover. First, the image enhancement technique is employed to improve the imaging effect of visible light camera. An imaging environment perception method is used to increase the computation robustness: the blind Image Quality Evaluation Metrics (IQEMs) are used to percept the imaging environment and select the images which have a high imaging definition for the following computation. Because of its excellent processing effect the adaptive Multiple Scale Retinex (MSR) is used to enhance the imaging quality. Second, the Single Shot multi-box Detector (SSD) method is utilized to identify the manhole cover for its stable processing effect. Third, the spatial coordinate of manhole cover is also estimated from the ground image. The practical applications have verified the outdoor environment adaptability of proposed algorithm and the target detection correctness of proposed system. The detection accuracy can reach 99% and the positioning accuracy is about 0.7 meters.

Waves can be expressed in terms of a spectrum; that is, the energy density distribution of a representative wave can be determined using statistical analysis. The JONSWAP, PM and BM spectra have been widely used for the specific target wave data set during storms. In this case, the extracted wave data are usually discontinuous and independent and cover a very short period of the total data-recording period. Previous studies on the continuous wave spectrum have focused on wave deformation in shallow water conditions and cannot be generalized for deep water conditions. In this study, the Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) function is proposed as a more-optimal function for the fitting of the continuous wave spectral shape based on long-term monitored point wave data in deep waters. The GEV function was found to be able to accurately reproduce the wave spectral shape, except for discontinuous waves of greater than 4 m in height.

In this paper we present an overview of the factors and techniques that must be considered in vibration measurements in the floor structures for microelectronics facilities. Normally narrowband vibration spectrum or equivalent signals are suggested as the guide indexes of site vibration phenomina. But it cannot support perfect informations in designing vibration control systems for the vibration sensitive equipment even though the spectrum serves to illustrate the fact that most real vibration environments are dominated by broadband energy as opposed to tonal energy. The major topics cover stiffness in frequency and time domain, acceleration level and modal characteristics from experimental modal analysis as well as narrowband spectrum. The combined signal analysis through the items mentioned above can give better solutions and would be positively recomended to solve the vibration problems on a sort of limited field.

We propose a now watermarking scheme that can be used to embed multiple bits and also resilient to geometrical transforms such as scaling, rotation, and cropping, based on off - axis holographic watermark that allows multiple watermark recovery without original content(cover image). The holographic watermark is that Fourier transformed digital hologram is embedded into cover image in the spatial domain. The proposed method has not only increased robustness with a stronger embedding but also imprescriptibility of the watermark in the evaluation process. To compare with the convention기 scheme, the spread spectrum, we embedded and recovered maximum 1,024 bits that consist of binary number over PSNR(peak signal-to-noise ratio) 39dB. And also, we computed robustness with BER(bit error rate) corresponding the above attack

Object-based classification methods provide a valid alternative to traditional pixel-based methods. This study reports the results of an object-based classification to examine land cover in the demilitarized zones(DMZs) of Inje-gun. We used land cover classes(7 classes for main category and 13 classes for sub-category) selected from the criteria by Korea Ministry of Environment. The average and standard deviation of the spectrum values, and homogeneity of GLCM were chosen to map land cover types in an hierarchical approach using the nearest neighborhood method. We then identified the distributional characteristics of land cover by considering 3 topographic characteristics (altitude, slope gradient, distance from the Southern Limited Line(SLL)) within the DMZs. The results showed that scale 72, shape 0.2, color 0.8, compactness 0.5 and smoothness 0.5 were the optimum weight values while scale, shape and color were most influenced parameters in image segmentation. The forests (92%) were main land cover type in the DMZs; the grassland(5%), the urban area (2%) and the forests (broadleaf forest: 44%, mixed forest: 42%, coniferous forest: 6%) also occupied mostly in land cover classes for sub-category. The results also showed that facilities and roads had higher density within 2 km from the SLL, while paddy, field and bare land were distributed largely outside 6 km from the SLL. In addition, there was apparent distinction in land cover by topographic characteristics. The forest had higher density at above altitude 600m and above slope gradient $30^{\circ}$ while agriculture, bare land and grass land were distributed mainly at below altitude 600m and below slope gradient $30^{\circ}$.

In this paper, we propose an active tunable bandpass filter (BPF) for efficient spectrum sensing in the TV White Space (TVWS) band. By designing a narrow bandwidth, it is possible to improve the sensing probability. The basic circuit configuration involves switching the PIN diode compromising capacitor bank to change the capacitance of the LC resonant circuit. To cover the whole TVWS band effectively, we add a varactor diode, and the bandwidth is set to 25-MHz. We improve the insertion loss by using the active capacitance circuit. The tunable BPF in the TVWS band with a 20-MHz interval is designed to have 11 channels with a bandwidth of 25 MHz and a low insertion loss of 1.7-2.0 dB.
We present high-resolution optical spectra of newly selected candidates of intermediate-mass black holes. The sample was selected based on the variability and spectral shape in X-ray. The spectra was taken with Magellan 6.5 m Clay Telescope and cover the rest-frame region 3500-10000A. The high spectral resolution (R~4000) of the spectrum allows us to estimate BH masses of the sources. Interestingly, the majority of the sample appears to have broad emission lines. Using this dataset, we will estimate the BH masses and Eddington ratio in order to understand their physical properties.
The semicontinuous quasi-uniformity is known to be one of the most important examples of transitive quasi-uniformities. The aim of this paper is to show that various facts in classical topology connected with the semicontinuous quasi-uniformity and semicontinuous real functions may be easily extended to pointfree topology via a construction introduced by the authors in a previous paper. Several consequences are derived.
