Response Matrix에 의한 감마선(線) Spectrum 및 그 조사선량(照射線量) 해석(解析) (Analysis of Gamma-ray Spectrum and Assessment of Corresponding Exposure Rate by Means of Response Matrix Method)

  • $3'{\times}3'$ 원통형 NaI(T1) 검출기와 다중파고분석기(多重波高分析器)를 사용하여 측정한 $0.05{\sim}2.0MeV$ 구간의 ${\gamma}$선 spectrum에서 실(實)spctrum을 구하기 위하여 조사선량율(照射線量率)산출에 편리한 response matrix 방법을 사용하였다. Response mateix 구성에는, 위의 에네지 구간을 0.1 MeV의 등간격으로 나눈 $20{\times}20$ matrix로 한것과 검출기의 분해능이 입사 ${\gamma}$선 에너지의 평방근(平方根)에 의존한다는 가정하에 $0.1(MeV)^{1/2}$구간으로 나누어 $14{\times}14$ matrix로 구성한, 두가지 방법을 사용하였으며 그 역(逆)matrix들은 P-E 82/32 콤퓨터로 계산하였다. 이 방법으로 얻은 조사선량율은 에너지와 flux가 알려진 ${\gamma}$선량(陽)에 대하여 흔히 사용되는 계산방법으로 구한값과 10% 이내에서 일치하고 있으며, 선량측정학적(線量測定學的) 견지에서는 $E^{1/2}$ 구간으로 형성된 matrix가 등에너지간격으로 구성된 것보다 현실적인 것으로 판단되었다.

자동차 실내환경변화에 따른 운전자의 감성변화 (Drivers' Emotional Change According to Environmental Change in the Automobile)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the emotional change of a driver according to the change of temperature, humidity, $CO_2$ gas concentration and $C_4H_{10}$ gas concentration in the automobile by electroencephalogram(EEG) spectrum analysis. The experiment was performed in an automobile simulated shielding room with healthy volunteers(age : 18-31, male : 14, female : 7). The subject's emotion at every different condition was indexed 11-point scale(+5 : most pleasant, -5 : least pleasant). The emotion index at each condition resulted in as follows; in temperature $1.00(23.5^{\circ}C)$, $-2.33(30.5^{\circ}C)$, in humidity 1.50(45%), -1.50(65%), in $CO_2$ gas concentration 0.67(500ppm), -0.57(6,000ppm), in $C_4H_{10}$ gas concentration -0.25(0ppm), -2.75(1,200ppm). From EEG spectrum analysis, the average mean power frequency(MPF) value at each different condition was shown as follows; in temperature $5.48(23.5^{\circ}C)$, $4.06(30.5^{\circ}C)$, in humidity 11.03(45%), 3.03(65%), in $CO_2$ gas concentration 7.16(500ppm), 6.38(6,000ppm), in $C_4H_{10}$ gas concentration 10.21(0ppm), 2.87(1,200ppm). When the environment became unpleasant to the subject, all of the obtained MPF values were decreased. It was found that there is close agreement between subjective evaluation by subject's scaling and objective evaluation by EEG spectrum analysis at different environment. These results indicated that the EEG spectrum analysis is a proper method to assess emotional response of a driver in the changing automobile environment.

응답스펙트럼해석을 통한 경사말뚝이 설치된 잔교식 안벽의 내진성능 평가 (Evaluation of Seismic Performance of Pile-supported Wharves with Batter Piles through Response Spectrum Analysis)

  • 잔교식 구조물은 상판을 말뚝 또는 기둥으로 지지하는 형식의 항만 구조물로서, 경사 말뚝을 설치하여 지진하중과 같은 수평하중을 부분적으로 축력으로 분담하도록 설계할 수 있다. 기준서에서는 잔교식 구조물 내진설계 시 예비 설계 방법으로 응답스펙트럼해석법을 활용하도록 설명하고 있으며, 응답스펙트럼 해석 시 말뚝을 가상고정점 방법 및 지반스프링 방법을 적용하여 모델링하도록 제시하고 있다. 최근 응답스펙트럼해석 시 구조물의 동적 응답을 적절히 모사하는 모델링 방법을 도출하기 위해 연직 말뚝으로 구성된 잔교식 구조물에 관한 몇몇 연구들이 수행되어 왔으나, 현재까지 경사말뚝이 적용된 잔교식 구조물에 대한 응답스펙트럼해석 관련 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 경사말뚝이 설치된 잔교식 구조물의 모델링 방법에 따른 내진성능을 평가하기 위해 동적원심모형실험과 더불어 응답스펙트럼 해석을 수행하였다. 실험 및 해석을 비교한 결과, 경사말뚝이 설치된 잔교식 구조물의 경우 실제 응답을 적절히 모사하기 위해 Terzaghi(1955)가 제시한 수평지반반력상수를 활용하여 모델링을 수행하는 것이 적절한 것으로 나타났다.

다방향 쇄파 발생 전후의 파랑 성분간 에너지 전이 및 소산 (Energy Dissipation and Transfer among Wave Components during Directional Breaking Processes)

  • Wave energy dissipation and energy transfer between wave components, during the directional wave breakings, are investigated. Directional incipient and plunging breakers were generated by focusing the multi-frequency and multi-directional wave components at a designed location, based on a constant wave amplitude and a constant wave steepness frequency spectrum. The time series of surface wave elevation was measured at 9 different locations around the wave focusing point, using a wave gauge array. In order to examine the variation of the directional spreading function, the horizontal velocity of fluid motion was also measured. By comparing energy spectrums, before and after the breaking, the characteristics of energy dissipation and energy transfer, caused by wave breaking, are investigated. Their dependencies on directionality, as well as frequency, are analyzed. The breakings significantly dissipate wave energy, through energy transfer, in the upper region of the peak-frequency band, while enhancing wave energy in the low-frequency band.

방선균 B25 균주가 생산하는 항생물질 ASA의 물리.화학적 특성 및 항바이러스 활성 (Physico-chemical Characteristics and Antiviral Activity of ASA, an Antibiotic Produced by Actinomycetes B25)

  • In the screening of antiviral materials produced by actinomycetes, an isolate named B25 was fond to produce an antibiotic substance ASA, which showed a strong inhibitory activity against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) infection. ASA was purified from culture broth of B25 by silica gel column chromatography, preparative TLC, and reversed phase HPLC. Also MS, IR, UV spectrum, and melting point of ASA were determined and analysed. ASA was white powder soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide, chloroform, and ethyl acetate, having absorption peaks at 223 and 328 nm in UV-VIS spectrum, and had a molecular weight of 548. ASA showed strong inhibitory effect on TMV infection when it was applied as a mixture of TMV to the upper surface of leaves of a local lesion host (Nicotiana tabacum c. Xanthi-nc). It also showed antimicrobial effect against yeast and some phytopathogenic fungi.

  • 토양에서 분리한 Streptomyces nigrifaciens GMT-497호무터 G(+) bacteria에만 강한 항균활성을 갖는 항생물질 MT-497을 용매추출, silica column chromatography와 재결정화를 통하여 분리 정제하였다. MT-497의 UV, 융점, 원소분석, IR spectrum, $^1H-NMR$과 구성아미노산 분석을 통해 actinocin chromophore와 threonine, proline, methyl valine, sarcosine, aspartic acid로 구성된 peptide을 갖는 actinomvcin계열의 항생물질로 동정하였다.

  • The substance produced by Bacillus subtilis $480HS_{20}$ showed specific anti Puccinia graminis activity and narrow antimicrobial activity. The anti Puccinia graminis substance was found to be peptide antibiotic which had molecular weight of about 1,500 by sephadex LH-60 gel-filtration. The amino acid composition of the substance waas composed of Ser (1), Glu(3), Ile(1), Gyr(2) and His (1). The compound was yellowish powder and it's melting point was $214{\sim}216^{\circ}C$. UV spectrum in methanol showed single peak at 278(E 1% 1cm 15.2) and important peak at 3,350-3,320, 2,940, 1,635, 1,520-155, 1,240-1, $230cm^{-1}$ were observed in IR Spectrum. The substance was soluble in methanol but insoluble in water, ethyl acetate and chloroform. The antibiotic $480HS_{20}$ showed a little antimicrobial activity against Pyricularia aryzae but no antimicrobial activity was observed against Gram + and Gram - bacteria and molds except pyricularia oryzae.

안드로이드 스마트폰 기반 Smart pH Reader 개발 (Development of Smart pH Reader Based on Android Smart Phone)

  • In this paper, we propose an implementation of pH reader on Android smart phone by using Eclipse and SDK. After taking a picture of pH spectrum and tested litmus paper at the same time, we save the picture. From the picture, reference values in RGB and YUB of all pH color in the spectrum are obtained and then those of a chosen point by user in the litmus paper are to be compared with. The distances between the reference colors and the litmus paper's color are measured by Euclidean distance in RGB or YUB coordinate. The nearest two pH values are taken to find the weighted average of the result. Series of test show the proposed scheme is feasible and has performance within 10% error.

  • In this paper, an agile programmable chirp spread spectrum generator for wideband frequency-jamming applications from 20 MHz to 3 GHz is proposed. A frequency-mixing architecture using two voltage-controlled oscillators is used to achieve a wideband operating frequency range, and the direct digital synthesizer (DDS)-based chirping method with a two-point modulation technique is employed to provide a programmable and consistent chirp bandwidth. The proposed signal generator provides the various programmable FM signals from 20 MHz to 3 GHz with a modulation bandwidth from 0 to 400 MHz. The prototype successfully demonstrates arbitrary sequential jamming operation with a fast band-to-band hopping time of < 10 ${\mu}sec$.

Streptomyces floridae SHS-1372가 생산하는 항암항생물질 HS-1의 특성 (Characteristics of Antitumor Antibiotics HS-1 from a Stveptomyces JIoridiae SHS-1372)

  • Antitumor antibiotic HS-1 was purified from the culture broth of a streptomyces floridae SHS-1372 which had been isolated from soil, by solvent extraction, silica gel column chromatography and gel filtration. It was confirmed that HS-1 was active against gram positive bacteria and cancer cells(K562, P388, MCF-7, HT-29). Through the analysis of UV spectrum, melting point, IR spectrum, FAB-MS, $_{1}$H-NMR, $_{13}$C-NMR, 2D-NMR spectra, HS-1 could be identified sa the actinomycin X$_{2}$ antibiotics containing actinocine chromophore and peptides consisted of threonine, proline, methylvaline, sarcosine, D-valine and 4-ketoproline.
