XLPE 절연층과 반도전층 재료의 비열 및 열전도 측정 (Specific Heat and Thermal Conductivity Measurement of XLPE Insulator and Semiconducting Materials)

  • To improve mean-life and reliability of power cable, we have investigated specific heat (Cp) and thermal conductivity of XLPE insulator and semiconducting materials in 154(kV) underground power transmission cable. Specimens were respectively made of sheet form with EVA, EEA and EBA added $30[wt\%],$ carbon black, and the other was made of sheet form by cutting XLPE insulator in 154(kV) power cable. Specific heat (Cp) and thermal conductivity were measured by DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) and Nano Flash Diffusivity. Specific-heat measurement temperature ranges of XLPE insulator were from $20[^{\circ}C]\;to\;90[^{\circ}C],$ and the heating rate was $1[^{\circ}C/mon].$ And the measurement temperatures of thermal conductivity were $25[^{\circ}C],\;55[^{\circ}C]\;and\;90[^{\circ}C].$ In case of semiconducting materials, the measurement temperature ranges of specific heat were from $20[^{\circ}C]\;to\;60[^{\circ}C],$ and the heating rate was $1[^{\circ}C/mon].$ And the measurement temperatures of thermal conductivity were $25[^{\circ}C],\;55[^{\circ}C].$ In addition we measured matrix of semiconducting materials to show formation and growth of carbon black in base resins through the SEM. From these experimental results, both specific heat and thermal conductivity were increased by heating rate because volume of materials was expanded according to rise in temperature.

  • Evaluation of radiating radiofrequency fields from hand-held and body-mounted wireless communication devices to human bodies are conducted by measuring the specific absorption rate (SAR). The uncertainty of system validation and probe calibration in SAR measurement depend on the variation of RF power used for the validation and calibration. RF input power for system validation or probe calibration is controlled manually during the test process of the existing systems in the laboratories. Consequently, a long time is required to reach the stable power needed for testing that will cause less uncertainty. The standard uncertainty due to this power drift is typically 2.89%, which can be obtained by applying IEC 62209 in a normal operating condition. The principle of the Automatic Input Power Level Control System (AIPLC), which controls the equipment by a program that maintains a stable input power level, is suggested in this paper. The power drift is reduced to less than ${\pm}1.16dB$ by AIPLC, which reduces the standard uncertainty of power drift to 0.67%.

  • 본 연구에서는 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 사용하여 상정사고를 고려한 전력탁송에 따른 영향평가를 할 수 있도록 하였으며, 이로써 전력탁송에 따른 탁송회사의 발전비용, 송전손실, 계통안전도에 미치는 영향을 분석할 수 있도록 하였다. 제안한 방법을 시험계통에 적용하여 본 연구의 타당성을 검증하였다.

In case of semiconducting materials, the measurement temperature ranges of specific heat were from $20[^{\circ}C]$ to $60[^{\circ}C]$ and the heating rate was $1[^{\circ}C/min]$. From these experimental results, both specific heat were increased by heating rate because volume of materials was expanded according to rise in temperature. We could know that a small amount of CNT has a excellent thermal properties.

저품위탄 연소시 탈황용 승압송풍기 실속시점 예측 (Prediction of the Occurring Time of Stall for a Booster Fan in a Power Plant Combusting Low Quality Coal through Draft Loss)

  • 석탄화력발전소에서 저품위탄 연소시 통풍저항 변화로 인해 승압송풍기의 운전점에 영향을 주는 것을 분석하여 현재운전점 대비 실속시점을 예측하였다. 연료의 발열량이 낮을수록 통풍저항 증가 속도가 빨라지며, 통풍저항과 승압송풍기의 운전점과는 강한 상관관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 발열량이 낮을수록 통풍저항이 빨리 상승하며 이는 곧 승압송풍기의 운전점이 설계탄 대비해서 실속 한계운전점에 빨리 도달하게 된다. 이를 근거로 현재운전점 대비 한계운전점까지의 운전여유분과 발열량별 통풍저항 증가 속도를 계산하여 실속시점을 예측할 수 있어 송풍기 실속으로 인한 발전출력의 감소나 운전정지에 대비한 정비계획 수립 등 안정운전에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 예상한다.

  • Salinity gradient energy can be generated from a mixture of water streams with different salt concentrations by using reverse electrodialysis (RED). In this study, we evaluated the effect of stack size and number of cell pairs on the energy efficiency and specific energy of the RED process. Additionally, we studied the prementioned parameters to maximize the power density of RED. The performance of the RED stack which used a patterned ion exchange membrane, was evaluated as a function of stack size and feed flow rate. Moreover, it was noted that an increase in stack size increased the ion movement through the ion exchange membrane. Furthermore, an increase in feed flow rate led to a reduction in the concentration variation, resulting in an increase in OCV and power density. The energy efficiency and specific energy for 100 cells in the 10 × 10 cm2 stack were the highest at 12% and 0.05 kWh/m3, respectively, while the power density from 0.33 cm/s to 5 × 5 cm2 stack was the highest at 0.53 W/m2. The study showed that the RED performance can be improved by altering the size of the stack and the number of cell pairs, thereby positively affecting energy efficiency and specific energy.

삼음교-현종 전침 자극이 EEG에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Electroacupuncture at the SP 6 (Sameumgyo)-GB 39 (Hyeonjong) on the EEG)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine the effects of electro-acupuncture(EA) at the SP6(Sameumgyo)-GB39(Hyeonjong) on normal human EEG using power spectral analysis. Methods : EEG power spectrum exhibit site-specific and state-related differences in specific frequency bands. In this study, power spectrum was used as a measure of complexity(LAXTHA Co., KOREA). 30 channel EEG study was carried out in 20 subjects $(20\;males;\;age=21.4{\pm}0.5\;years)$. Results : In $\alpha$(alpha) band, the power values at F4 channels(p<0.05) during the SP6-GB39 acupoints treatment was significantly increased. But, the power values at Fz channel during the non-acupoint treatment was significantly decreased . In $\beta$(beta) band, the power values at Fz, FTC1, T3 channels(p<0.05) was significantly increased during the SP6-GB39 acupoints treatment. In $\delta$(delta) band, the power values at F4, C3, Cz, CP1, Pz channels(p<0.05) during SP6-GB39 acupoints treatment were significantly decreased.

Power Module Bridge Type Auxiliary Resonant AC Link Snubber-Assisted Three-Phase Soft Switching Inverter

  • This paper presents a novel three-phase power module bridge type auxiliary resonant AC link snubber for the three-phase voltage-fed sinwave soft switching PWM inverter operating under specific instantaneous space voltage vector modulation. The operating principle of this resonant snubber is described for current source load model during one switching period, along with its design approach based on the simulation data. The performance evaluations of space vector modulation three-phase sinewave soft switching inverter with a new three-phase active auxiliary resonant AC link snubber are discussed as compared with those of three-phase voltage source-fed sinewave hard switching PWM inverter with a standard space voltage vector modulation strategy. The power loss analysis and conventional efficiency estimation of three-phase soft switching PWM inverter using ICBT modules are carried out including all the conduction power losses based upon the measured v-i characteristics of IGBT and its antiparallel diode as well as their switching losses.

동력경운기(動力耕耘機) 기관(機関)의 효율적(效率的) 이용(利用)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Efficient Utilization of Power-Tiller Engines)

  • The engines mounted on power-tillers are used as power source in various kinds of works such as plowing, harrowing, transporting, spraying, water pumping and threshing, etc. But the engines have not been used effectively from a standpoint of fuel consumption because of lack of proper power transmission system and lack of understanding of fuel consumption characteristics of the engines. Therefore, this study was attempted to establish proper power transmission system between the power-tiller engines and various implements. In order to accomplish the above objective, firstly, power requirement and pulley sizes for various implements, which are driven by the power-tiller engines, were investigated to find out whether the power transmission system is proper. Secondly, partload variable engine-speed test was conducted for 3 different sizes of diesel engines to measure to specific fuel consumption. Thirdly, the present power transmission systems were analyzed in terms of specific fuel consumption, and proper power transmission systems were suggested for various implements. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Power requirement for each fixed-type implement of power-tiller varied from 1.5 ps to 11 ps according to its type and operating conditions, but generally in the range of 2.5 ps to 7 ps. 2. Each power tiller and implement were equipped with only one size of pully with few exeptions. With the present power transmission systems, the engines can't be utilized effectively in terms of fuel economy. The pulley size of engine or implement should be diversified to provide the optimum engine speed for different implements. 3. For a diesel eninge with the rated power output of 6 ps, the optimum engine speed to minimize specific fuel consumption was 2200 rpm for the power reguirement in the range of 6 ps or more, 1700 rpm in the range of 4 to 6 ps, and 1200 rpm in the range of 4 ps or less. 4. For a diesel engine with the rated power output of 8 ps, the optimum engine speed was 2200 rpm for the power requirement in the range of 7 ps or more, 1700 rpm in the range of 4.8 to 7 ps, and 1200 rpm in the range of 4.8 ps or less. 5. For a diesel engine with the rated power output of 10 ps, the optimum engine speed was 2200 rpm for the power requirement in the range of 8.4 ps or more, 1700 rpm in the range of 5.4 ps to 8.4 ps, and 1200 rpm in thr range of 5.4 ps or less. 6. Provided the existing implements are dirven by 8 ps diesel engines, the optimum size of engine pulley should be larger than 120mm for the works of requiring less than 4 ps and 90-110mm for the works requiring 4.5-6.5 ps in order to minimize fuel consumption.
