This article prospects the patterns of technological innovation in the steel industry and suggests the directions of technological innovation in Korean steel industry. Technological innovation patterns can be analysed through technological trends, innovation-inducing mechanism, and innovators' relationships. In the technological trends, direct coupling of manufacturing processes, lasting growth of mini-mill, and the importance of technological integration are prospected. In the innovation-inducing mechanism, while production system will be specialized, the development of new steel materials and environment-friendly technological innovation will be accelerated. In the innovators' relationships, steel industry faces more complex competition and new forms of inter-firm cooperation including M&A, joint venture, and joint R&D. In order to cope with such changes in the technological innovation patterns, Korean steel industry need to establish core competence based on technological innovation through a great leap in R&D investment, the production of high value-added products, the development of new generation steel technologies, strategic joint R&D, comprehensive technological cooperation, and government's active support.

This paper reviews the meat-type chicken breeding with local breeds in China. The quality chickens are defined as purebred final products of local breeds, and semi-quality chickens as crossbreds of local breeds with specialized broiler (sire or dam) lines from western breeding organizations. The present status of the chicken production and the market in China, in comparison with the western countries, is reviewed, indicating that there is large market demand for (semi-) quality chickens in the present and future China. Breeding for (semi-) quality chickens emphasizes the sensory quality of chicken meat. The present status of breeding for (semi-) quality chickens with the local breeds is illustrated, including breeding goals and the existing breeding programs. The potential role of local breeds in breeding programs in China is discussed in relation to both providing higher quality (than commercial hybrid broilers) of chicken meat for the local market and meeting the objectives of genetic resource conservation. Besides, further research topics on breeding for (semi-) quality chickens are suggested.

If we build new building after demolition of commercial building that is located in the downtown, it will be caused a social and environmental problem as wasting of resources and generating of waste. In this study, I investigated about remodel ins, this conclusion is given below. 1. Reconstruction cost is 2.1 times, and construction period is 1.4 times as much remodeling. So remodeling has an advantage. 2. For repairing and reinforcing timeworn building, we reinforced it as using carbon fiber sheet (girder, slab) and injecting method steel plate bonding Also, we tried to maintain efficiency of new building as using epoxy to protect concrete crack. 3. In the side of waste products and cost, remodeling has much more advantage than reconstruct. But demolition used construction period much. Because it had to be reused as repairing and reinforcing. And there was no difference between remodeling cost and reconstruct cost. If we develop research with enterprise.university.laboratory to exploit material and equipment and to train specialized engineer who will has a capacity to know construct repair and reinforce, it can be attribute to prevail remodeling in new construct market.

Green tourism is a stay-flow activity between people in urban and rural area, using a natural view, tradition, and life in agricultural area. And green tourism provides rest, recreation, and new experience fur people living in urban area as well as opportunities to increase income for people in rural area. In recently, amenity is rapidly rising as a main factor fur a regional competitiveness. Boseong county shows a typical agriculture industrial structure with a weak independent base, but has a beautiful tea fields in full seasons. Boseong county is making an effort to activate the regional economy, but the result fall short of one's expectation. Several methods to activate the green tourism of Boseong county are as follows: i) introduction of specialized theme relating Boseong green tea; ii) provision of information regarding tourist resort and development of experience-program related to green tea business; iii) establishment of a sales network of products through accommodations in private houses; iv) establishment of networks among regions to achieve systematic sales of tourist experience, accommodations in private houses, and local speciality simultaneously.

To revitalize rural economy and to generate job opportunities in the Korean countryside through the specialized production of high-valued/environment-friendly farm products and the active promotion of green tourism in the farmland-remodelling project sites in 4 main riverside areas, this study developed the regionally differentiated development models of future-oriented agri-business complex. Through two rounds' expert group consulting/checking, related literatures review and similar case-projects benchmarking, a tentative model system was made and corrected, and finally, 6-development types with 24 model complexes proposed.

Loading steel coil products on a specialized packing case called pallet can be represented as a bin-packing problem with the special constraint where objects should be loaded on designated positions of bins. In this paper, under assuming that there exist only two types of objects, we focus on finding the optimum number of positions in a bin which minimizes the number of bins needed for packing a collection of objects. Firstly, we propose a method to decide the number of positions and prove that the method is optimum. Finally, for the packing problem using bins designed by the method, we show that the well-known algorithm, First-Fit Decreasing(FFD), is the optimum algorithm.

In Korea, silicone type sealant is widely used for construction site. Before the silicone type, urethane type is one of the main type sealants. However, the weathering property is less than the silicone type, the urethane type is replace by the silicone one. Still the urethane type is used for the inside of the buildings for the perimeter of the window. The silicone type sealants are better in weathering property than those of the urethane type sealants. Except the weathering property urethane type sealant has its own advantage like movement property, low cost and so forth. There are many research results for the outdoor weathering of the sealants, but in Korea there are no results for the outdoor weathering for construction sealants. This research is focused on the outdoor weathering of the urethane sealants, how to measure the degradation, and compare the products which used in Korea. The outdoor weathering test is usually time consuming, thus we designed specialized device for accelerating the result.

Vehicle industry is developing research for producing high quality injection molded product. The main objective of this study is providing information about hydraulic system for researchers who are involved in the other fields, not hydraulic field. Another objective is developing hydraulic circuit simulation model which analyzes the cause of several destabilizing elements related to quality of injection molded products. Injection molded product consists of a lot of hydraulic parts, and there are many nonlinear facts for dynamic behavior. So, we used 'SimulationX' which is specialized in hydraulic system for developing simulation model.

This study analyzed tourists' intention at Gangcheon Mountain, Sunchang-gun for local tourism. The contents of study included impression, characteristics, specialized resources, development direction, intention of visit and its form, destination prior and post visit, travelling expenses, and development form of tourism. The results were as following. Impression and characteristics showed that gochujang and fermentation industry established a strategic ground of local development. Intention of revisit of tourists was relatively high by 97.1%. Furthermore, tourists were mainly family units and they preferred family-based recreational type for the future local tourism development form. Therefore, a development strategy will be required that involves inexpensive accommodation, unique local food items, agricultural-specialty products and local tour packages. For invigoration of local tourism, recruitment of skilled managers for farm village experience will be necessary as well.

Forensic Engineering is the area covering the investigation of products, structures that fail to perform or do not function as intended, causing personal injury or damage to property. To investigate explosion accident of the centrifugal casting machine in terms of the forensic engineering, in this paper, the computing simulation using ADINA FSI has performed to investigate that the effect of the Check-Pin fracture by the flow phenomena and molten metal weight and the mechanical properties test of the accident Check-Pin has performed using the instrumented indentation technique. Through these studies, the safety accident that may occur in centrifugal casting machine can be minimized by performing specialized and systematic investigation of the accident cause in terms of the forensic engineering.
