The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in the dissatisfaction with and design preferences for mountain gear among the segments divided by specialization activity-pursued for recreational mountaineering. Data were collected by questionnaire survey from 900 subjects with the experiences of mountaineering and purchasing mountain gear in the past year, and 891 were used for the data analysis. The results of the study were as follows: Three factors were formulated based on mountaineering specialization activity-pursued: expertise-pursued mountaineering, mountaineering with psychological attachment and activity-oriented mountaineering. Four segments were identified based on the specialization activity-pursued: the emotionally-committed, the continuously-participated, the expertise-pursued, and the passively-participated. Significant differences were found in dissatisfaction with and design preference for mountain gear among the segments. The expertise-pursued tended to be more dissatisfied with color and fabric than the others, and preferred various mountain gear design of shape, color combination and construction line. On the other hand, the passively-participated tended to prefer simple and comfortable style with solid color and simple color combination.

The purpose of this study is to introduce a relative specialization index, the Nam-Oh-Hong Index(NOHI) and to investigate regional distribution of occupational specialization using the newly developed index. Compared with Location Quotient(LQ), the advantages of the index is that the NOHI enables comparison between inter-regional and intra-regional concentration of employment possible at the same time. The results of the specialization analyses show that Seoul is specialized in management, book-keeping and office related occupations, whereas Busan in machine and material related occupations.

With the rapid change of information environment, this study suggests role models and strategies for the university library in Korea based on the subject specialization. By analyzing the current situation and problems of university library, this research presents various directions for the subject specialization. Major research issues are (1) university library's subject specialization directions, models, and factors, (2) subject specialized librarian' s role and education system, (3) basic framework for customized information service and user education, (4) enhancement of subject specialization through subject gateway, (5) academic information sharing system.

This study is aimed at investigated and compared the differences in the affect of hospital specialization according to hospital size using claims data of the Health Insurance and Review Assessment National Inpatient Sample in 2018 for diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue. To this end, we used multivariate hierarchical linear models(a.k.a., multi-level models) using two-tier data from 106,599 patients discharged after diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue from 734 hospitals. Multivariate results indicate that patients who were discharged with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue from specialized hospitals with 200 beds or less stayed shorter and paid less inpatient charge than those who were discharged from less specialized hospitals. But for hospitals with 201-300 beds, no positive impact relationship was found between hospital specialization and operational performance. This finding may be limited evidence that the affect of a hospital's specialization strategy may vary depending on the size of the hospital. We discussed several managerial and health policy implications below.

This research has investigated the perceptions of subject specialization services and the opinions of students majoring in library and information science preparing for librarianship, librarians operating in the field, and library directors on the status and ways of nurturing subject specialization for librarians, among others. To this end, based on the results of previous research and the survey questionnaire analysis, we have presented a policy to train subject librarians. First, we have proposed a plan for systematizing the current educational system within the department of library and information science. We have also suggested ways to secure subject expertise based on curriculum management, minor programs, multi-major programs, and interdisciplinary major programs based on the standard curriculum model. Second, we have presented a subject specialization educational system for field librarians, and further suggested details for the development of an educational program that can help build subject expertise and the operation of educational methods as well as the personnel in charge of implementing the educational programs. Third, we have proposed institutionalization of the qualifications of the subject librarian where the qualification requirements have been organized considering academic background, major program, library career, and career experience in the subject specialization service, further suggesting the implementation and maintenance of the system.

This study aims to propose the model of functional specialization for university and the selection of research university in Korea. This study propose that we diversify universities into three categories ; research university, educational university, and technical university. Considering the current research capability and future research prospect of Korean universities, this study found that 8 universities could be classified as research university. However, in light of a balanced regional growth of research system two more universities could be designated as research university.

This study seeks an alternative of government personnel system that may help maritime administration better enhance specialization of government administration. Discussions are focused on government job classification system and appointment system, which may be most effective as the means to enhance specialization of government officials. And the discussions are aimed at developing alternative systems that should be appropriate in coping with rapidly changing environments and the needs for marine expertise.

This study intends to analyze the trade competitiveness of Korean films in international markets. Under environmental of film industry, Korean films could be doing better. But the Key success factors Korean films in the foreign markets are the improvement of contents Quality and the diversification of trade market. Namely, Our films is mainly exporting Japanese market and the import depends upon American films. In case the trade specialization index(TSI), The international competitiveness of Korean films shows lower import specialization, by virtue of export increasing of Japan, Europe and other markets in 2000's. On the other hand, The Export Market Share has shown similar pattern to main markets except Japanese market, and the import was almost similar to trend in foreign markets except American films. Consequently the present film strategies and polices that delight limited markets will not be compete in global markets, Korean films or contents is merely called by that name.

The purpose of this study was to verify the influences of sport enjoyment factors on recreation specialization of water sports participants. The study conducted a research survey through purposive sampling method after selecting 4 water sports center in Busan. 260 questionnaires distributed and 246 were selected as final valid sample by removing 14 questionnaires that have insufficient answers. Then data were analyzed through exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Window ver. 20.0. The results were as followings. First, the enjoyment factors have a positive effect on recreation specialization. Second, escaping from daily routine and improving technical skill dimensions of enjoyment factors have an influence on centrality of life. Third, improving technical skill dimension of enjoyment factors have a positive effect on past experience. Lastly, flow and improving technical skill dimensions of enjoyment factors have an influence on economic investment.
