모바일 플랫폼 상황이해엔진 (A Context-Aware Engine for Mobile Platforms)

  • 지능로봇이나 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 주변의 상황정보를 파악하여 이를 바탕으로 적당한 서비스를 제공하는 것이 필요하다. 상황에 따른 서비스를 탐색하여 제공하는 유용한 플랫폼으로 규칙기반 시스템을 활용하는 연구가 많이 진행되어왔다. 이 논문에서는 상황이해 서비스를 위한 규칙기반 시스템의 특성에 대해서 기술하고, 이를 바탕으로 설계하여 구현한 규칙기반 상황이해 서비스 엔진에 대해서 기술한다 구현한 상황이해 엔진은 임베이드 환경을 비롯한 모바일 환경에서도 동작할 수 있도록 수행속도와 메모리요구량에 대한 고려를 하여 설계되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 도약 시스댐의 성능을 좌우하는 동기화 시스템에서 초기동기시스템으로는 stepped s serial search 방식과 정합필터방식에 대한 성능을 고찰하였으며 동기추적 시스템으로 delay lock loop 방식을 이동무선채널에 적용하여 그 성능을 해석하였다. 그 결과 Rayleigh 페이딩 뿐만 아니라 Rician 페이딩이 존재 하는 이동무선채널에서 stepped serial search 방식이 회로구성이 비교적 간단하고 특별한 하드웨어의 교체없이 단순히 도약 주파수를 증가시킴으로써 시스템의 성능을 개선할 수 있음을 보였다. 또한 동기추적 시스템 역시 lock 상태수와 도약주파수 M이 증가할수록 평균 유지시간이 길어짐을 알 수 있다.

Development and Goals of smart EM wave absorber with heat radiating function

  • With the progress of electronics and radio communication technology, human enjoys greater freedom in communication. However, EMW (Electro-Magnetic wave) environments have became complicate and more difficult to control. Thus, international organizations, such as the American National Standard Institution (ANSI), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Comite Internationale Special des Perturbations Radio electrique (CISPR), etc, have provided standard for controlling the EM wave environments and for the countermeasure of the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). In this paper, the status of EMW absorber and the goal of smart EMW absorber ifor the future were described. Furthermore, design method of the smart EM wave Absorber with heat radiating function was suggested. The designed smart EM wave Absorber has the absoption ability of more than 5 dB from 2 GHz to 2.45 GHz band, one optimum aperture (hole) size of which was 6 mm, 9 mm in adjacent hole space, and 6.5 mm in thickness, respectivly. Thus, it is repected that these results can be applied to various EMC devices in electronic, communication, and controlling systems.

서비스 접점에서 럭셔리 브랜드와 고객과의 상호작용에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An exploratory study on the interaction between luxury brands and customers in service encounters)

  • Advancements in technology and the proliferation of digital services have highlighted the importance of luxury brands in service environments. Based on the social exchange theory, this study investigated the interaction between customers and luxury brands in a traditional offline service encounter and a digital online service encounter. The interaction area was classified into three parts: human-human, human-digital, and human-physical environments. We qualitatively investigated the practitioners' working experiences with luxury brands. The study determined that both online and offline service encounter interactions between luxury brands and customers have become diverse. First, forming a special relationship with customers and frontline employees in traditional service encounters is important. Second, luxury brands should focus on the interaction among customers. Third, various digital tools should be considered to provide information about the brand to customers. Fourth, the exclusive benefits of offline service encounters should be maximized to stimulate positive experiences. The findings provide valuable insight to scholars and marketers on the new interaction phase between customers and luxury brands in the digital age.

건설업 근로자의 유해 작업 환경 노출 실태에 관한 연구 (Health Hazardous Substances in Construction Work in Korea)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the working conditions In construction workers through measurements of working environments and to improve the working conditions and to design the appropriate environmental and health management system. The results of measurement for working environments in construction work are as following: 1. The excess rate of noise and dust concentration in express highway construction, road construction, building construction and interior painting was 28.6% and 24.5% respectively. 2. The excess rate of mixed organic solvents concentration in interior painting was 39.3%. 3. The chain type bulldozer has the highest level of vibration; the excess rate was 85.7%, and among the vibration instruments, the level of left hand's vibration of all vibrators exceeded the criterion and in the case of drilling all the level of vibration exceeded the criterion in both hands. On the basis of the results in this research the environmental and health management system for construction workers must be considered. Therefore, it is necessary to be introduced the special medical examination and measurement of working environments in construction industry. In defining "the working place" of Article 39 of Enforcement regulations of industrial safety and health act, the word "indoors" should be deleted. Then the eligible industry for measurement of working environment must be extended. And it is also necessary for construction industry to be performed group health management service by agencies such as other manufacturing industry.

보육시설 실내.외 환경에 대한 만족도와 중요성의 인식정도 - 학부모, 보육교사의 차이를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Level of Satisfaction and Awareness Regarding the Importance of outdoor and Indoor Environments in Child Care Centers - On the Basis of Different Viewpoints from the Parents and the Teachers -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the level of the satisfaction and awareness of facilities in child care centers among teachers and parents. Special attention was given to both the indoor and outdoor environments from the viewpoints of both parents and teachers. The subject of this research focused on parents who leave their children at child care centers, and teachers who work for the center. The data was compiled by performing both T-tests and paired T-test. The information was processed by a program called SPSS WIN 10.0. The results were as follows ; 1. (a) With regard to the satisfaction of the external and internal facilities : It was determined that both the play rooms and the wall-pattern arrangements were satisfactory to both the parents and the teachers. (b) Regarding the awareness of the importance of facilities, while the parents focused more on the play rooms and the external environments, the teachers placed more importance on the bathrooms and the play rooms. 2. In the paired T-test that determined whether their individual opinions were different in terms of the satisfaction and awareness of facilities, it was interesting to see that both the parents and the teachers showed significant differences in their opinions and priorities about the porches, the play rooms, the bathrooms and the wall-pattern arrangements. In general, their awareness was much higher than the satisfaction with these facilities. 3. In the T-test that determined whether there were any tendencies in the satisfaction and awareness respectively in the two groups, the satisfaction rate was higher among the parents than the teachers. In terms of the awareness of the importance of the facilities, the teachers rated the bathrooms and the wall-pattern arrangements as a priority.

  • A study was carried out to compare the food cultures among Korea (Chosun dynasty), China (Ming, thing dynasty) and Japan (Muromachi, Edo era) from 14 century to 19 century. For this study, geographical environments, historical background with the times were researched and also bibliographies related on food cultures were compared among these three countries. There were special geographical environments in three countries upon their territories and geographical features. Historically, in those era, the livelyhoods of the common people in three countries were difficult considerably because of the disturbances of war in the inside and outside of the countries. But the food cultures of three countries were changed owe to introduce the new western culture and institutions. And also there were numerous bibliographies related on food culture which were published from 14C to 19C in Chosun dynasty, Ming and Ching dynasty, and Muromachi, Edo era. They were shown to be the most in Japan, and order of China and Korea followed them. The bibliographies of Ming and thing dynasty showed less than those of Edo era for considering their population and territory, comparatively. In Japan, the biliographies related on food culture of Edo era was given the term of the age of cookery books. It was thought to be resulted from that the peoples of Japan were concerned about cooking and had more chances to contact foreign culture earlier than other country.

소음 노출 사업장의 소음 노출수준과 노출기준 초과율 현황 (Noise Exposure Levels of Workplaces Exposed to Noise and Rate of Exceedance of Exposure Limits)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze noise exposure levels and the rate of exceedance of exposure limits in workplaces from a 2015 measurement of working environments according to area, industry, and scale of workplace and to determine changes compared to the past. Methods: Among the 408,875 measurements of noise in working environments from 27,030 workplaces in 2015, 16,359 workplaces that were linked to special health examination data were selected as the subjects of this study. The eight-hour corrected measurements and geometric mean values of the individual noise measurements of the workplaces were used to calculate noise exposure levels and the exceedance rate of exposure limits. Results: The average noise exposure level of the overall workplaces making up the subjects of this study was 83.6 dBA, and the exceedance rate of exposure limits was 15.1%. At least half of the noise measurements exceeded the exposure limits in 13.7% of the workplaces. Noise exposure levels were higher in the manufacturing industry and in smaller-scale workplaces. The exceedance rate of noise exposure limits was higher in the mining and manufacturing industries and in smaller-scale workplaces. Conclusions: Noise exposure has shown improvements compared to the past, but the exceedance rate of exposure limits was still high, and more than half of the workers were being exposed to noise of 85 dBA or higher. Therefore, it is necessary to make more active improvements in working environments in terms of noise exposure.

Review of the Usefulness of Inhibitors for Reducing the Corrosion of Iron in $H_2S$ Environments

  • The influence of $H_2S$ on the corrosion of iron and the corrosion prevention mechanism of an inhibitor was investigated with a differential capacitance measurement and a weight loss measurement method. The results show that $H_2S$ accelerates both the anodic iron dissolution and the cathodic hydrogen evolution in most cases. However, $H_2S$ acts as an inhibitor of the corrosion of iron under certain special conditions. An EIS method is proposed to explain the ability of inhibitors.

의학교육에서 고려해야 할 신세대 학생의 특징 (Characteristics of the Current Student Generation and Considerations for Medical Education)

  • Current medical students are a distinct new generation who can be distinguished from the previous generation. Therefore, a clear understanding of their characteristics is vital in developing an appropriate educational program for them. The purpose of this article is to explore the characteristics of the current generation of high achieving medical students. Notable characteristics that define this generation include the following: they feel they are special, and they are sheltered, confident, highly optimistic, pressured, conventional, and have a strong desire to achieve. They are the digital generation, who can obtain information through various forms of technology. Furthermore, they are high achieving students in highly competitive educational environments. It has been suggested that various teaching methods be used in the medical school classroom. Using digital methods could be crucial in providing high-quality medical education. Educators should pay more attention to students' psychosocial development and help them to effectively cope with their academic stress.
