Recently the life and property damage caused by urban inundation have increased. In order to prevent the damage by inundation the researches for displaying the flooded areas through integrating SWMM and GIS have been progressed. However most of flood analysis systems only have used the GIS to display the flooded areas, and don't provide the integration disaster information to prevent the inundation. In this paper, we design a prototype for the Map Viewer based Spatial DB for the integrated urban floooded area management system. And we implement the spatial DB conversion module.

Today, it is difficult to re-use and share spatial information, because of the explosive growth of heterogeneous information and specific characters of spatial information accumulated by diverse local agency. A spatial analysis of subsurface spatial informa-tion, one of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure, needs related spatial information such as, topographical map, geologic map, underground facility map, etc. However, current methods using standard format or spatial datawarehouse cannot consider a se-mantic hetergenity. In this paper, the layered ontology model which consists of generic concept, measuremnt scale, spatial model, and subsurface spatial information has developed. Also, the current ontology building method pertained to human experts is a expensive and time-consuming process. We have developed the MDA-based metamodel(UML Profile) of ontology that can be a easy under-standing and flexiblity of environment change. The semantic quality of devleoped ontology model has evaluated by reasoning engine, Pellet. We expect to improve a semantic sharing, and strengthen capacities for developing GIS experts system using knowledge representation ability of ontology.
This paper introduces a novel approach for automated mapping of a map feature that is vinyl green house in high spatial resolution imagery Some map features have their unique spatial patterns. These patterns are normally detected in high spatial resolution remotely sensed data by human recognition system. When spatial patterns can be applied to map feature identification, it will improve image classification accuracy and will be contributed a lot to feature identification. In this study, an automated feature identification approach using spatial aucorrelation is developed, specifically for the vinyl green house that has distinctive spatial pattern in its array. The algorithm aimed to develop the method without any human intervention such as digitizing. The method can investigate the characteristics of repeated spatial pattern of vinyl green house. The repeated spatial pattern comes from the orderly array of vinyl green house. For this, object-based approaches are essential because the pattern is recognized when the shapes that are consists of the groups of pixels are involved. The experimental result shows very effective vinyl house extraction. The targeted three vinyl green houses were exactly identified in the IKONOS image for a part of Jeju area.

Spatial information systems have developed in order to provide users with customized land information in u-City environments. The spatial information systems can detect spatial information for users anytime anywhere. Information which is analyzed by data mining techniques can be offered for other users. Therefore, we propose open map API-based prototype which utilizes frequent pattern mining technique. Proposed prototype can mine interesting trip routes and unknown attractions in location data of geophoto. Also, proposed prototype is the first attempt which analyzes spatial patterns can be represented on a map which is selected by users. Our prototype can be applied to the smart phone like mobile devices.

It is very important to assess spatial data quality of a digital map produced through digital map generalization. In this study, as a aspect of spatial data quality maintenance, we examined the tolerate range of theoretical expectation accuracy and established the quality assessment standard in spatial data for the transformed digital map data do not act contrary to the digital map specifications and the digital map accuracy of the relational scale. And, transforming large scale digital map to small scale, if we reduce complexity through processes as simplification, smoothing, refinement and so on., the spatial position change may be always happened. thus, because it is very difficult to analyse the spatial accuracy of the transformed position, we used the buffering as assessment method of spatial accuracy in digital map generalization procedure. Although the tolerated range of generic positioning error for l/l, 000 and l/5, 000 scale is determined based on related law, because the algorithms adapted to each processing elements have different property each other, if we don't determine the suitable parameter and tolerance, we will not satisfy the result after generalization procedure with tolerated range of positioning error. The results of this study test which is about the parameters of each algorithm based on tolerated range showed that the parameter of the simplification algorithm and the positional accuracy are 0.2617 m, 0.4617 m respectively.

In line with the modern era in which the safety of underground facilities and the use of underground information are increasingly emphasized, the state is pushing for more precise and accurate underground spatial information to be secured and utilized. Therefore, we need to pay more attention to subsurface geospatial data. In the future, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will actively utilize the 15 types of Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map(6 types of underground facilities, 6 types of underground structures, 3 types of ground) that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is building as three-dimensional underground spatial information, and contribute greatly to improving national safety and convenience in underground construction. expected to do However, when a site manager requests an Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map with a mobile device, if the large-capacity integrated underground space map is not quickly transmitted over the wireless section and is not serviced, it causes inconvenience to the site manager and delays work. In this paper, the goal of this paper is to enable field managers to quickly receive a tiled Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map with minimal information exchange. Therefore, the tiling system is configured according to the dataset for high-speed Mobile Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map transmission. In addition, a transmission system for the Mobile Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map is established, and a TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)-based spatial information tiling transmission protocol dedicated to the on-site Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map is developed.

In order to answer the questions successfully on behalf of the human in DeepQA environments such as Jeopardy! of the American quiz show, the computer is required to have the capability of fast temporal and spatial reasoning on a large-scale commonsense knowledge base. In this paper, we present a scalable spatial reasoning algorithm for deriving efficiently new directional and topological relations using the MapReduce framework, one of well-known parallel distributed computing environments. The proposed reasoning algorithm assumes as input a large-scale spatial knowledge base including CSD-9 directional relations and RCC-8 topological relations. To infer new directional and topological relations from the given spatial knowledge base, it performs the cross-consistency checks as well as the path-consistency checks on the knowledge base. To maximize the parallelism of reasoning computations according to the principle of the MapReduce framework, we design the algorithm to partition effectively the large knowledge base into smaller ones and distribute them over multiple computing nodes at the map phase. And then, at the reduce phase, the algorithm infers the new knowledge from distributed spatial knowledge bases. Through experiments performed on the sample knowledge base with the MapReduce-based implementation of our algorithm, we proved the high performance of our large-scale spatial reasoner.

In this paper, a system technology-based algorithms and visualization is proposed to show a space data. Also the proposed system provides analysis function with combination of usual map and automatic document generation function to give a useful information for making an important decision based on spatial distributed data. In the proposed method, we employ the heat map analysis to present a suitable color distribution for 2 dimensional map data. The buffering analysis method is also used to define the spatial data access. By using the proposed system, spatial information in a variety of distribution will be easy to identify. Also, if we make a use of automatic document generation function in the proposed algorithm, a lot of time and cost savings are expected to make electronic document which representation of spatial information is required.

Biodiversity refers to the diversity of organisms originating from all sources, including terrestrial ecosystems, aquatic ecosystems, and complex ecosystems and it is considered to be the standard of the area to be preserved and protected. So The Importance of environmental assessment for biodiversity conservation is increasing and International efforts to quantify biodiversity and to develop indices have been made, but there are insufficient researches on the use of biomass databases and their quantification in Korea. In this study, the biodiversity map was constructed using the 3rd National Ecosystem Survey Mammal Data with three spatial units(Administrative Area, 1:5,000 index map, hexagonal lattice). and the difference of map constructed by spatial unit was suggested to help research on quantification and evaluation of biodiversity in the future. As a result of the study, biodiversity index for the same area varied according to the spatial unit and overall average and standard deviation were different too. Therefore it is necessary to utilize appropriate spatial unit considering the suitability and purpose of quantification rather than using specific unit. It also showed the necessity of establishing a standard for biodiversity index as a result of comparative analysis with ecosystem and nature map. Based on this research, comprehensive efforts should be made for the sustainable development of the country through further research and institutional improvement for quantification and evaluation of biodiversity, set standards.

National atlas map for provide various information is one part of National territorial Statatics Survey but National atlas map in 2004 year don't have stability and ability. National territorial Statatics Survey in 2005 years have octuple data compare with data in 2004 years but have only one map. One map is going to provide with stability and ability. We don't use DBMS, But We make a similarly struct in file based program. We programmed system of dynamic-linked data with spatial data. To dynamic-linked system, we make search engine to based index struct and make combobox search system. spatial data only have index codes(year, national terrial indicator, area). If spatial data request specfied data, search engine search index code and provide DB data. New system is middle step of using DBMS. We redraw map for display real Korea area (with dokdo). New map is shape and similar Korea map.
