This paper is to consider the new urbanization process of Daegu in the 1990s, especially with its economy, politics, social culture, environment and space. In the economic aspect, the industrial structure of Daegu has shifted from the manufacturing- centered economy to the service economy. But it has not yet overcome the linear frame of industrial structure still relying on the textile industry, though the degree of industrial specialization has increased in the part of the fabricated metal products and the precision and optical instrument. In the political situation that the implementation of the local self-government has made the relation between localities more competitive, the local government of Daegu has led a boom for boosting the regional economic growth, organizing private-public-research relations to improve the weakening regional investment and production function. In the social and cultural aspect of the new urbanization, the investment into the soft-ware facilities has been increased, and the urban festivals have been changed so as to revitalize the regional economy. In the environmental aspect, as the self-government system has launched, conflicts around values and interests of local governments have revealed frequently due to locations of infra-structures and of abhorrence facilities. Finally, seen from the spatial dimension of the city, the extension of residential areas and unregulated use of urban space have a result of inefficience of land-use, and this kind of unplanned outer expansion of the city has brought about with further separation of house and working place, and increasing distance of movements and the an urban spatial structure which requires more energy consumption.

Construction methods for underground structure are classified as bottom-up, up-up, and top-down methods depending on the procedure of construction related to a superstructure. In top-down construction methods, building's main structure is built from the ground level downwards by sequentially alternating ground excavation and structure construction. In the mean time, the main structure is also used as supporting structure for earth-retaining wall, which results in the increased stability of the earth-retaining wall due to the minimized deformation in adjacent structures and surrounding grounds. In addition, the method makes it easy to secure a field for construction work in the downtown area by using each floor slabs as working spaces. However top-down construction method is often avoided since an excavation under the slab has low efficiency and difficult environment for work, and high cost compared with earth anchor method. This paper proposes a combined construction method where semi-open cut is selected as excavation work, slurry as earth -retaining wall and CWS as top-down construction method. In the case study targeted for an actual construction project, the proposed method is compared with existing top-down construction method in terms of economic feasibility, construction period and work efficiency. The proposed construction method results in increased work efficiency in the transportation of earth and sand, and steel frame erection, better quality management in PHD construction, and reduced construction period.

H.264 provides a good coding efficiency compared with existing video coding standards, H.263, MPEG-4, based on the use of multiple reference frame for variable block size motion estimation, quarter-pixel motion estimation and compensation, $4{\times}4$ integer DCT, rate-distortion optimization, and etc. However, many modules used to increase its performance also require H.264 to have increased complexity so that fast algorithms are to be implemented as practical approach. In this paper, among many approaches, fast mode decision algorithm by skipping variable block size motion estimation and spatial-predictive coding, which occupies most encoder complexity, is proposed. This approach takes advantages of temporal and spatial properties of fast mode selection techniques. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach can save encoding time up to 65% compared with the H.264 standard while maintaining the visual perspectives.

The structural space is gradually wide and is wanting agreeable environment by the requirement and necessity of people who lives modem stage. The building coincides with such requirements and is the high rise building actual circumstances which is doing ultra-large. The confirmed report of the technology to organize great merit is becoming currently considerably important issue in constructing a building field. Thus, this paper examine closely for nonlinear unstable taking a picture uneasiness height of prosperity considering to initial imperfection by a numerical method with a space frame structure of discrete system in large space structure. Based on previous investigation method, this paper induce nodal stiffness matrix of solid truss elements considering geometrical nonlinear using finite element method. In this paper, three types of space structure considered; i) 1-free node space structure, ii) 2-free node space structure, iii) multi-free node space structure. It apply the above examples to a nonlinear program, next, grasp the characteristic of an unstable conduct and the result was a clearing low.
Aerial digital camera was used in outside since 2000 because of technical development & improvement of it. In korea, line type or frame type digital camera introduced since 2006 was used in manufacture and Correction of National base map appling the number and distribution of control point of analogue aerial triangulation from 2008. The main objective of the study is to compare and analyze the effects of the number and distribution of control points in accuracy of results, when we execute aerial triangulation with images from ADS40, line type sensored aerial digital camera available in korea. The result of RMSE can be concluded that accuracy of all the case are meet the aerial photograph surveying work regulation of NGI as to horizontal of control point ${\pm}0.068m$, ${\pm}0.073m$, ${\pm}0.071m$, height ${\pm}0.041m$, ${\pm}0.055m$, ${\pm}0.055m$, ${\pm}0.041m$, as to horizontal of check point ${\pm}0.167m$, ${\pm}0.113m$, ${\pm}0.110m$, height ${\pm}0.128m$, ${\pm}0.086m$, ${\pm}0.081m$. We have confirmed that it is possible to make out large scale digital topographic map.
An occlusion culling method, one of visibility culling methods, excludes invisible objects or triangles which are covered by other objects. As it reduces computation quantity, occlusion culling is an effective method to handle complex scenes in real-time. But an existing common occlusion culling method, such as hardware occlusion query method, sends objects' data twice to GPU and this causes processing overheads once for occlusion culling test and the other is for rendering. And another existing hardware occlusion culling method, VCBP, can test objects' visibility quickly, but it neither test bounding volume nor return test result to application stage. In this paper, we propose a single pass occlusion culling method which uses temporal and spatial coherency, with effective occlusion culling hardware architecture. In our approach, the hardware performs occlusion culling test rapidly with cache on the rasterization stage where triangles are transformed into fragments. At the same time, hardware sends each primitive's visibility information to application stage. As a result, the application stage reduces data transmission quantity by excluding covered objects using the visibility information on previous frame and hierarchical spatial tree. Our proposed method improved maximum 44%, minimum 14% compared with S&W method based on hardware occlusion query. And the performance is increased 25% and 17% respectively, compared to maximum and minimum performance of CHC method which is based on occlusion culling method.
Purpose: Damage to pulse crops by wild birds is a serious problem. The damage is to such an extent that the rate of damage during the period between seeding and cotyledon stages reaches 54.6% on an average. In this study, a crop-position detection method was developed wherein infrared (IR) sensors were used to determine the cotyledon position under a vinyl mulch. Methods: IR sensors that helped measure the temperature were used to locate the cotyledons below the vinyl mulch. A single IR sensor module was installed at three locations of the crops (peanut, red lettuce, and crown daisy) in the cotyledon stage. The representative thermal response of a $16{\times}4$ pixel area was detected using this sensor in the case where the distance from the target was 25 cm. A spatial image was applied to the two-dimensional temperature distribution using a non-integral moving-average method. The collected data were first processed by taking the moving average via interpolation to determine the frame where the variance was the lowest for a resolution unit of 1.02 cm. Results: The temperature distribution was plotted corresponding to a distance of 10 cm between the crops. A clear leaf pattern of the crop was visually confirmed. However, the temperature distribution after the normalization was unclear. The image conversion and frequency-conversion graphs were obtained based on the moving average by averaging the points corresponding to a frequency of 40 Hz for 8 pixels. The most optimized resolutions at locations 1, 2, and 3 were found on 3.4, 4.1, and 5.6 Pixels, respectively. Conclusions: In this study, to solve the problem of damage caused by birds to crops in the cotyledon stage after seeding, the vinyl mulch is punched after seeding. The crops in the cotyledon stage could be accurately located using the proposed method. By conducting the experiments using the single IR sensor and a sliding mechanical device with the help of a non-integral interpolation method, the crops in the cotyledon stage could be precisely located.

Recently, the demand of the large span structures has been increasing. The large span structures include such a large scaled structures such as: the shell structure, the space frame structure, the membrane structure and the cable structure, etc. The large span structures are supposed to be confirmed and issued carefully at the initial process of the design besides the construction engineering aspects because of the structural specific cause that should solve and accomodate those large and wide space without columns. In the field of the large span structure construction, the erection construction method has been regarded as a major affected aspects on the construction cost, construction term, and stability. In the field of the large span structure construction, there are various construction method and system could be applied depends on the condition of the construction site and other circumstances such a major construction method as: the element method, the block method, the sliding method, the lift-up method and complexed method, etc. In this study, as the case study of the erection construction method of the large span structures, after survey and study that those existing large span structures construction cases which had applied and adopted the election construction method and analysis and classify into the Uoups by the size, span, ceiling height, structural system in odor to supply and suggest the data for the enhancement and development in the field of the erection construction method as a efficient structural solution of the large span structure construction.

Seven techniques widely used in the geodetic transformations have been reviewed and compared to figure out their theoretical characteristics. A series of numerical tests were performed about four data sets. This was followed by result analyses in terms of transformation residuals and accuracies together with some hypothesis testings based on the student-t distribution to confirm the statistical significance of the techniques. In the case of the transformation between the geodetic frames implemented in the same system, no statistical significance was revealed in the results of the 3D transformation techniques, even if the testing area becomes large as the Asia-Oceania continent. Among the 2D transformations, it was possible for the NTv2 grid modeling technique to deliver improved transformation accuracy. Finally, it was possible from the results analyzed in this study to propose the Helmert transformation to geodetic control points and the NTv2 technique to the 2D spatial data transformation of the geodetic systems.
People are experiencing severe problems in temporal navigation as time-based contents and platforms become more popular Relatively limited research, however, has been conducted on temporal navigation compared to that on spatial navigation. This research aims to identify efficient temporal navigation aids for time-based contents. It proposes Time Navigator, a new temporal navigation system based on the episodic indexing theory, and evaluates its efficiency through two experiments with a computer-based simulator for digital TV The video contents of digital TV was focused on because it is one of the most representative time-based contents and platforms. Our results indicate that Time Navigator helps people navigate time -based contents more effectively. Its effects increase as the contents include more narratives.
