  • Each system should have a suitable data model about their purpose for efficiently managing, analyzing, and manipulating data. And the usable range of application is determined by the data model, and suitable data models are being developed for each application. In GIS, diversity spatial data model is being developed too. The accuracy and update of the spatial data would be important for applying efficient application as well as the data modeling is important as constructing the spatial data structure. Therefore, the purposes of this research are to 1)compare domestic spatial data models with oversea spatial data models about their geometry model, topology model and visualizing method of 3D spatial data 2)to compare the features of the data model by analyzing each data structures. We 3)compare and analyze features of each spatial data models via the quantitative analysis of each spatial data models.

  • Being the origin of Shanghai City, the Old Town presents a high-density spatial texture, a characteristic of local living conditions in the Shanghai context. However, the Old Town is faced with competing interests: the preservation of historic urban features and the improvement of contemporary living conditions. In view of its high density and poor living conditions, this paper focuses on two types of blocks for urban design research, and proposes two spatial regeneration strategies, as "overlapping lilong" and "texture continuity". It is expected to inherit the regional characteristics of urban space, improve the plot ratio and supplement the mix of functions, through the translation of the traditional lilong typology and the reproduction of historical streets and alleys, so as to provide operable spatial strategies and design methods for the organic renewal of Old Town and other historic districts.

  • In this paper, an adaptive ROI(region of interest) detection system for spatialtemporal features is proposed. It utilizes spatiotemporal features for the purpose of detecting ROI. It is assumed that motion representing temporal visual conspicuity between adjacent frames takes higher priority over spatial visual conspicuity. Because objects or regions in motion usually draw stronger attention than others in motion pictures. In case of still images visual features that constitute topographic feature maps are used as spatial features. Comparative experiments with a human subjective evaluation show that correct detection rate of visual attention region is improved by exploiting both spatial and temporal features compared to the case of exploiting either feature.

  • To address the problem of multi-target retrieval (MTR) of remote sensing images, this study proposes a new object-level feature representation model. The model provides an enhanced application image representation that improves the efficiency of MTR. Generating the model in our scheme includes processes, such as object-oriented image segmentation, feature parameter calculation, and symbolic image database construction. The proposed model uses the spatial representation method of the extended nine-direction lower-triangular (9DLT) matrix to combine spatial relationships among objects, and organizes the image features according to MPEG-7 standards. A similarity metric method is proposed that improves the precision of similarity retrieval. Our method provides a trade-off strategy that supports flexible matching on the target features, or the spatial relationship between the query target and the image database. We implement this retrieval framework on a dataset of remote sensing images. Experimental results show that the proposed model achieves competitive and high-retrieval precision.

  • The traditional farm houses in Yongdong area of Kangwon province have a different spatial structure from those of the other areas because of the characteristics of the climatic, geographic and sociocultural circumstances between the Taebaek mountains and the East Sea. So the purpose of this study is aimed at grasping how the spatial features of traditional farm houses in Yongdong area have been different in each regional circle. The plans of traditional farm houses of this region which are four types - ㅡ typed house without floor, ㅡ typed house with floor, ㄱ typed house without floor, ㄱ typed house with floor - show very similar but different space arrangements.

  • Invisible networks have hidden bits flows from human being and become the periphery in the Internet overload; technologies become invisible and everywhere computing. The appearance of the calm environment requires a new relationship between human being and machines and geographic features: a paradigm shift. However no one says what next steps to those environments on details are, a reason why lots of people focus on the endeavors. In this paper, we touch the geographic features on ubiquitous environments and research the transition step of GIS mobile applications in order to achieve a natural integration of connectivity, capability and functionality.

  • For effective mobility control of unmanned ground vehicles in outdoor off-road environments, terrain cover classification technology using passive sensors is vital. This paper presents a novel method far terrain classification based on color and texture information of off-road images. It uses a neural network classifier and wavelet features. We exploit the wavelet mean and energy features extracted from multi-channel wavelet transformed images and also utilize the terrain class spatial coordinates of images to include additional features. By comparing the classification performance according to applied features, the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has a promising result and potential possibilities for autonomous navigation.

  • The focus of this study was on spatial and interior characterization of recently developed and marketed apartments. The house showrooms in the Seoul Metropolitan Areas that have recently been open were selected and analyzed. The floor plans and relevant materials via website for each showroom provided by major housing development companies were examined, and site visits were made. The finding of this study indicated that high-tech systems were applied to heighten security and safety. It was revealed that various exterior design features were adopted and emphasized, so they affected spatial composition and utilization. Another finding was the use of environmentally friendly materials and features as indoor air quality became an emerging concern. Additionally, it was noticed that features in relation to open housing and interior finishes became more customized to meet different needs of consumers. Therefore, the characteristics of recent house showrooms were summarized into high-tech, environmental friendliness, and customization.

  • This paper proposes two video quality assessment methods based on deep neural network. (i)The first method uses the IQF-CNN (convolution neural network based on image quality features) to build image quality assessment method. The LIVE image database is used to test this method, the experiment show that it is effective. Therefore, this method is extended to the video quality assessment. At first every image frame of video is predicted, next the relationship between different image frames are analyzed by the hysteresis function and different window function to improve the accuracy of video quality assessment. (ii)The second method proposes a video quality assessment method based on convolution neural network (CNN) and gated circular unit network (GRU). First, the spatial features of video frames are extracted using CNN network, next the temporal features of the video frame using GRU network. Finally the extracted temporal and spatial features are analyzed by full connection layer of CNN network to obtain the video quality assessment score. All the above proposed methods are verified on the video databases, and compared with other methods.

  • This paper describes a omni-directionally speaker tracking system for mobile robot interface in real environment. Its purpose is to detect a robust 360-degree sound source and to recognize voice command at a long distance(60-300cm). We consider spatial features, the relation of position and interaural time differences, and realize speaker tracking system using fuzzy inference process based on inference rules generated by its spatial features.
