진해만 적조에 있어서 수치모델링에 의한 Chl-$\alpha$의 공간적 집적과 확산 평가 (Estimation of Spatial Accumulation and transportation of Chl-$\alpha$ by the Numerical Modeling in Red Tide of Chinhae Bay)

  • 진해만 해역에 있어서 적조발생역과 물질집적공간을 진단하기 위해서 수치모델링에 의해 하계 적조가 발생했을 때 환경요인의 변통에 따른 $Cha-{alpha}$ 분포와 물리과정의 기여도를 평가하였다. 해수유동모델에 의한 표층 잔차류는 무풍시와 풍속 2 m/sec이하일 때 진해만 서부해역과 동부해역에서 각각 남향과 북향 하는 흐름이 상접하는 공간이 예측되었고, 풍속이 강해질 때는 유속도 강해지고 유향도 크게 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 생태계모델에 의해 하계 $Cha-{alpha}$를 예측한 결과, 진동만과 가덕수로 북단의 인근 해역에서는 20 mg/㎥ 이상으로 매우 높았고, 서부해역에서도 대부분 10 mg/㎥이상으로 진해만은 전역에서 하계에는 적조발생 가능성이 매우 높은 것으로 예측되었다. 현 상황에서 $Cha-{alpha}$현존량에 대한 물리과정량을 평가한 결과, 동부해역의 가덕수로 북단과 칠천도 주변, 서부해역의 진동만 내측 그리고 가조도 서쪽지역에서 물리과정량이 (+)로 계산되어 물질의 집적이 일어날 가능성이 큰 공간으로 평가되었고, 마산만, 행암만, 진동만, 원문만 및 고현만 등에서는 물리과정량이 (-) 즉, 발산지역으로 나타나서 물리과정량 보다는 생물학적인 증식과정이 큰 기여를 하는 것으로 고려되었다. 모델링과 현장관측자료 분석결과, 진해만 해역에 있어서 적조의 초기발생역은 마산만과 행암만으로 나타났다. 풍속의 증가는 $Cha-{alpha}$의 농도를 감소시키지만 물리적으로 집적하는 공간의 확대를 야기 시키는 것으로 예측되었고, 동남풍 계열보다는 북서풍 계열이 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 일사량 및 일조시간의 변통은 물리적 집적공간의 분포에는 큰 영향이 없었지만, $Cha-{alpha}$의 급격한 증감을 초래하는 것으로 시뮬레이션되었다. 육상오염부하량 자체만의 변동으로는 $Cha-{alpha}$를 적조발생 가능농도이하로 감소시키지는 않는 것으로 모델링되었다.

K-Means Clustering 기법과 원격탐사 자료를 활용한 탄소기반 글로벌 해양 생태구역 분류 (Classification of Carbon-Based Global Marine Eco-Provinces Using Remote Sensing Data and K-Means Clustering)

  • 최근 기후변화의 가속화로 바다에 의한 탄소의 흡수 작용을 칭하는 '블루 카본(blue carbon)'에 대한 관심이 많아지고 있지만, 탄소 순환의 핵심이 되는 해양 생태계에 대한 우리의 이해는 아직 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 탄소 순환을 고려한 글로벌 해양 생태 권역(marine eco-province)을 k-means clustering 기법을 활용하여 분류·분석하였다. 지난 20년 간(2001-2020) 위성을 활용하여 생산된 Carbon-based Productivity Model (CbPM) 순 일차 생산량(Net primary production, NPP), particulate inorganic and organic carbon (PIC and POC), 위성 관측과 재분석모델을 결합하여 생산한 해수면 염분(sea surface salinity, SSS) 및 온도(sea surface temperature, SST) 총 다섯가지 자료를 활용하였다. 최적화 과정을 거쳐 총 9개의 생태권역을 도출하였으며, 각 권역의 공간분포와 특성을 분석하였다. 이 중 5개의 권역은 주로 대양의 특성을 반영하고, 4개의 권역은 연안 및 고위도 해역의 특성을 반영하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 기존에 알려진 해양 생태 권역과의 정성적 비교를 통하여 탄소순환을 고려한 해양 생태권역의 특징을 상세히 분석하였다. 마지막으로 과거 5년 단위(2001-2005, 2006-2010, 2011-2015, 2016-2020)로 생태 권역의 변화를 분석하였으며, 연안생태계의 빠른 변화와 특히 담수유입으로 인해 생산량이 높고 생태적으로 중요한 권역의 감소를 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 탄소 순환 및 기후변화를 고려한 해양 생태 권역 분류 및 연안 관리에 대한 중요한 참고자료로 활용 될 수 있으며, 기후 변화에 취약한 지역에 대한 체계적인 관리 지침 개발에 활용될 수 있다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The frame and leaflet of the polymer valve were made from polyurethane, To evaluate the hemodynamic performance of the polymer valve a comparative study of flow dynamics past a polymer valve and a St. Jude Medical prosthetic valve under physiological pulsatile flow conditions in vitro was made. Comparisons between the valves were made on the transvalvular pressure drop, regurgitation volume and maximum valve opening area. The polymer valve showed smaller regurgitation volume and transvalvular pressure drop compared to the mechanical valve at higher heart rate. Because the point of maximun temperature of laser-irradiated gelatin exists below the surface due to surface cooling, evaporation at the boiling temperature is made explosively from below the surface. The important parameters of this process are the conduction loss to laser power absorption (defined as the conduction-to-laser power parameter, Nk), the convection heat transfer at the surface to conduction loss (defined as Bi), dimensionless extinction coefficient (defined as Br.), and dimensionless irradiation time (defined as Fo). Dependence of Fo on Nk and Bi has been observed by experiment, and the results have been compared with the numerical results obtained by solving a 2-dimensional conduction equation. Fo and explosion depth (from the surface to the point of maximun temperature) are increased when Nk and Bi are increased.To find out the minimum laser power for explosive evaporative removal process, steady state analysis has been also made. We obtained a two-dimensional current density distribution within a phantom by processing the real and imaginary MR images from a 4.77 NMR machine. Optimal stimulus parameters, which can minimize muscle fatigue and can achieve effective muscle contraction were determined in slow and fast muscles in Sprague-Dawley rats. Stimulus patterns of our stimulator were designed to simulate electromyographic activity monitored during locomotion of normal subjects. Muscle types of the lower extremity were classified according to their mechanical property of contraction, which are slow muscle (msoleus m.) and fast muscle (medial gastrocneminus m., rectus femoris m., vastus lateralis m.). Optimal parameters of electrical stimulation for slow muscles were 20 Hz, 0.2 ms square pulse. For fast muscle, 40 Hz, 0.3 ms square pulse was optimal to produce repeated contraction. Higher stimulus intensity was required when synergistic muscles were stimulated simultaneously than when they were stimulated individually. Electrical stimulation for each muscle was designed to generate bipedal locomotion, so that individual muscles alternate contraction and relaxation to simulate stance and swing phases. Portable electrical stimulator with 16 channels built in microprocessor was constructed and applied to paraplegic patients due to lumbar cord injury.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500,550,570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500,550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100,300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The frame and leaflet of the polymer valve were made from polyurethane, To evaluate the hemodynamic performance of the polymer valve a comparative study of flow dynamics past a polymer valve and a St. Jude Medical prosthetic valve under physiological pulsatile flow conditions in vitro was made. Comparisons between the valves were made on the transvalvular pressure drop, regurgitation volume and maximum valve opening area. The polymer valve showed smaller regurgitation volume and transvalvular pressure drop compared to the mechanical valve at higher heart rate. The results showed that the functional characteristics of the polymer valve compared favorably with those of the mechanical valve at higher heart rate. 30621 T00401030621 ^x Explosive evaporative removal process of biological tissue by absorption of a CW laser has been simulated by using gelatin and a multimode Nd:YAG laser. Because the point of maximun temperature of laser-irradiated gelatin exists below the surface due to surface cooling, evaporation at the boiling temperature is made explosively from below the surface. The important parameters of this process are the conduction loss to laser power absorption (defined as the conduction-to-laser power parameter, Nk), the convection heat transfer at the surface to conduction loss (defined as Bi), dimensionless extinction coefficient (defined as Br.), and dimensionless irradiation time (defined as Fo). Dependence of Fo on Nk and Bi has been observed by experiment, and the results have been compared with the numerical results obtained by solving a 2-dimensional conduction equation. Fo and explosion depth (from the surface to the point of maximun temperature) are increased when Nk and Bi are increased.To find out the minimum laser power for explosive evaporative removal process, steady state analysis has been also made. One of the major problems in EIT has been the inaccessibility of internal voltage or current data in finding the internal impedance values. We propose a new image reconstruction method using internal current density data measured by NMR. We obtained a two-dimensional current density distribution within a phantom by processing the real and imaginary MR images from a 4.77 NMR machine. We implemented a resistivity mage reconstruction algorithm using the finite element method and sensitivity matrix. By using the proposed region segmentation algorithm, the cells were segmented into nucleus. The 16 feature parameters were used to calculate the features of each nucleus. A9 a consequence of using dominant feature parameters method proposed in this paper, discrimination rate of 91.11% was obtained for Thyroid Gland cells. 30625 T00401030625 ^x An electrical stimulator was designed to induce locomotion for paraplegic patients caused by central nervous system injury. Optimal stimulus parameters, which can minimize muscle fatigue and can achieve effective muscle contraction were determined in slow and fast muscles in Sprague-Dawley rats. Stimulus patterns of our stimulator were designed to simulate electromyographic activity monitored during locomotion of normal subjects. Muscle types of the lower extremity were classified according to their mechanical property of contraction, which are slow muscle (msoleus m.) and fast muscle (medial gastrocneminus m., rectus femoris m., vastus lateralis m.). Optimal parameters of electrical stimulation for slow muscles were 20 Hz, 0.2 ms square pulse. For fast muscle, 40 Hz, 0.3 ms square pulse was optimal to produce repeated contraction. Higher stimulus intensity was required when synergistic muscles were stimulated simultaneously than when they were stimulated individually. Electrical stimulation for each muscle was designed to generate bipedal locomotion, so that individual muscles alternate contraction and relaxation to simulate stance and swing phases. Portable electrical stimulator with 16 channels built in microprocessor was constructed and applied to paraplegic patients due to lumbar cord injury. The procedure has the following three distinct stages. First, the initial center is estimated by the initial center estimation algorithm which is applied to decimated image. Second, the center estimation algorithm is applied to original image and then best-fit elliptic model estimation is processed. Third, best-fit boundary is detected by the cost function which is based on the best-fit elliptic model. Also, we propose the real time trajectory planning method which generates continuous accelleration paths using 3 stage linear filters to minimize the impact to human body induced by arm motions and to reduce the muscle fatigue. We use combination of MLP and fuzzy filter for pattern recognition to estimate the direction of a muscle and Hogan's method for the force estimation. EMG signals are acquired by using a amputation simulator and 2 dimensional joystick motion. By using a switching mode power supply rather than a conventional linear power supply for charging high voltage capacitors, the weight and size of the magnetic nerve stimulator can be considerably reduced. Maximum output voltage of the developed magnetic nerve stimulator using the switching mode power supply is 3,000 volts and switching time is about 100 msec. The bedside monitor consists of a main unit and module cases with various parameter modules. The main unit includes a 12.1" TFT color LCD, a main CPU board, and peripherals such as a module controller, Ethernet LAN card, video card, rotate/push button controller, etc. The main unit can connect at maximum three module cases each of which can accommodate up to 7 parameter modules. They include the modules for electrocardiograph, respiration, invasive blood pressure, noninvasive blood pressure, temperature, and SpO2 with Plethysmograph.

공원녹지의 특성과 신체활동 및 건강의 상호관련성 - 창원시를 대상으로 - (Associations between Characteristics of Green Spaces, Physical Activity and Health - Focusing on the Case Study of Changwon City -)

  • 도시의 공원녹지는 지역 주민들의 신체활동과 건강증진을 위해서 중요한 역할을 담당할 수 있기 때문에, 본 연구에서는 공원녹지의 다양한 특성과 신체활동 및 건강증진 목적의 공원녹지 이용의 상호관련성을 분석하고자 한다. 설문조사는 경상남도 창원시에 거주하는 541명의 주민들을 대상으로 공원녹지의 이용패턴과 주관적인 근린환경 인식을 파악하기 위해서 실시하였다. 사례지역에 대한 공원녹지의 접근성과 물리적 근린환경에 대한 공간정보를 구축하기 위해서 지리정보시스템(GIS)을 이용하였다. 다중회귀분석은 공원녹지의 특성과 신체활동 목적의 공원녹지 이용횟수, 자가인식 건강수준, 그리고 체질량지수(BMI)와의 상호관련성을 규명하기 위해 수행하였다. 거주지로부터 200m 이내에 분포하는 공원녹지의 출입구와 공원의 개수, 집 주변에서 운동하는 사람을 많이 볼 수 있거나, 저렴하게 이용할 수 있는 운동시설이 많다고 느낄수록 신체활동의 증가에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 집 주변 공원녹지까지의 거리가 가깝고, 공원녹지의 개수가 많고, 면적이 넓을수록, 보행이 편리할수록, 공동주거지역의 비율이 높을수록 자가인식 건강수준(perceived health level)에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 거주지로부터 400m 이내에 분포하는 공원녹지의 개수, 보행환경의 안전성, 공동주거지역의 비율, 도로비율, 교차로 밀도 등이 BMI와 상호관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 독립변수인 공원녹지의 특성과 종속변수인 신체활동 목적의 공원녹지 이용횟수 및 자가인식 건강수준 사이의 다중회귀분석 결과, 유의수준 10% 이내에서 의미가 있는 회귀모형이 도출되었다. 본 연구는 공원녹지와 근린환경의 특성이 지역주민들의 신체활동과 건강에 미치는 영향을 규명함으로써, 향후 신체활동 목적의 공원녹지의 이용을 증진하고 비만을 감소시키기 위한 목적의 조경계획을 수립하는데 활용 가능할 것이다.

용문산 산악지역의 봄철 기온특성 (Characteristics of Springtime Temperature Within Mt. Youngmun Valley)

  • 본 연구는 경기도 양평군 용문면 연수리 계곡에서 관측을 통하여 봄철 용문산 계곡의 온도 및 바람의 시공간적인 특성을 밝히고자 하였다. 2012년 3월부터 5월까지 기온 및 2, 3차원 바람을 관측하고 자료를 수집하였다. 연수리 계곡의 집중관측 자료를 분석한 결과, 용문산의 전기간 평균 기온감률은 $-0.44^{\circ}C$/100m이며 맑은 날($-0.48^{\circ}C$/100m), 강수일($-0.41^{\circ}C$/100m, 흐린 날($-0.40^{\circ}C$/100m) 순으로 기온감률이 낮아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 기온상승률은 산 정상부분($0.89^{\circ}C$/1시간)에서 탁월한 대기와의 혼합효과에 의한 영향으로 계곡하부($1.45^{\circ}C$/1시간)보다 낮게 나타난다. 맑은 날 야간에는 산사면을 따라 냉각된 공기가 흘러내리는 현상이 온도와 바람장을 통해 확인하였다. 또한 계곡 저지대로부터 100-300m사이에서 온난대 형성도 확인 할 수 있었다. 산정상과 계곡하부에서 측정한 고도별 온도분포의 관측결과 계곡하부에서는 지면으로 부터 1.5m까지 지면의 영향을 받는 냉기층이 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 관측 높이별 바람분포를 관측한 결과 풍속은 높은 곳(3.5m)에서 강하며 비슷한 고도에 위치한 지점이어도 종관풍의 영향을 많이 받는 지점은 국지적인 바람의 패턴이 뚜렷하게 나타나지 않고 있었다.

  • 남해 중부해역 반폐쇄성 만과 유기오염 유입원이 다수 존재하는 7개 연안에서 2003년 5월 13일부터 17일에 걸쳐 산소 미세전극을 이용 공극수내 산소의 수직분포를 측정하였다. 관측된 산소투과깊이 범위는 1.30∼3.80 mm로 매우 작았다. 극히 얕은 산화층 존재는 초기속성 작용 연구 중 산화$.$환원 반응연구를 최소한 mm 단위로 연구할 필요성을 제시한다. 공극수 수직분포에 1차 확산-반응 모델을 적용하여 추정된 퇴적물/해수 계면에서 산소소모율 범위 는 10.8∼27.6 mmol $O_2$ m$^{-2}$ day$^{-1}$(평균 19.1 mmol $O_2$ m$^{-2}$ day$^{-1}$)였고 퇴적물 유기탄소 농도와 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 또한 플럭스에 산소 대 탄소 비 (170/110)를 적용하여 추정한 유기탄소 산화율은 89.5∼228.1 mg C m$^{-2}$ day$^{-1}$(평균: 158.0 mg C m$^{-2}$ day$^{-1}$)였다. 이들 결과는 남해중부 해역중 유기물 유입이 많은 지역을 대상으로 한 결과로 남해 평균 값 중 최대값으로 생각되며 연안환경의 부영양화 및 빈산소 수괴 형성 기작을 밝히기 위해서는 이러한 연구가 보다 많은 지역에서 계절적으로 수행되어져야 할 것으로 생각한다.

탄소 및 질소 안정동위원소를 활용한 어류 가두리 양식장 내 퇴적 유기물의 기원 및 기여도 평가 (Origin and Source Appointment of Sedimentary Organic Matter in Marine Fish Cage Farms Using Carbon and Nitrogen Stable Isotopes)

  • 본 연구에서는 어류 양식장 퇴적 유기물의 기원 및 기여도 평가를 위해 어류(숭어) 가두리 양식장이 이동된 후 수층 및 퇴적물 내 물리/화학적 인자들의 변화와 함께 안정 동위원소 비의 특성을 조사했다. 이를 토대로 과거 양식장 퇴적물 내 축적된 유기물의 거동을 구체적으로 파악함으로써 효과적인 어장환경평가 기법을 검토하였다. 연구정점(OFF 및 control)에서 입자성 및 침강물질은 정점 간 차이보다는 계절적 강수량 변동에 따라 차별적 분포를 보였다. 하지만 퇴적물 내 분석된 δ15N 결과는 수층 기원 질소원과는 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 과거 외부기원의 유기물 (예: 어류 배설물)의 다량 유입이 주된 요인이라 판단된다. 실제로 과거 어류 가두리 양식활동으로 인해 OFF 정점 내 어류 배설물의 우점적 기여(>50%)를 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구정점 내 분해되지 않은 어장 양식기인 유기물의 농도가 높은 수준으로 존재할 것이라 판단되며, 어장 회복력의 체계적인 진단을 위한 중요한 고려요인이라 판단된다.

중등학교 교과서 황해난류 오개념 분석 및 해류 데이터 시각화 수업자료 개발 (Misconception on the Yellow Sea Warm Current in Secondary-School Textbooks and Development of Teaching Materials for Ocean Current Data Visualization)

  • 지구의 기후 변화를 유도하고 제어하는 가장 중요한 역할을 하는 것은 해양의 해류이다. 황해는 수심이 동해에 비해 매우 얕고, 다양한 바람과 조류, 강물의 유입, 동중국해에서의 해수 유입 등 외력의 영향으로 해수의 순환과 해류가 상당히 복잡하다. 황해난류는 겨울철 황해의 대표적인 해류로서 겨울철 황해와 동중국해 바람 변동성과 밀접한 관련이 있으며, 황해의 수온과 염분 분포에 큰 영향을 주어서 중등학교 교과서에서 중요하게 다루어질 필요성이 있다. 2015 개정 교육과정 기반 중등학교 과학 및 지구과학 교과서의 황해난류와 관련된 내용을 분석하였다. 또한 해류의 시간 변동성에 대한 교사들의 인식을 조사하기 위해 중등학교 과학 교사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 대부분의 교사들은 황해난류가 우리나라 서해안으로 연중 북상하고 있으며 일반적인 난류와 같이 여름철에 강하다는 잘못된 지식을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 황해난류는 해류의 세기가 강한 계절변동성을 가지는 북한한류와 달리 해류 자체가 연중 항시 존재하지 않으며 겨울철에만 발생하는 해류이다. 이러한 교사들의 교과내용 지식에 대한 오류는 북한한류가 겨울철에 강하다는 오개념을 가지게 된 연유와 유사한 배경을 가지고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 황해난류에 대한 교과서 내용의 오류를 분석하여 제시하였다. 또한 학생들과 교사들의 데이터 리터러시 함양을 위하여 탐구활동에서 활용할 수 있는 황해난류에 대한 수업 자료를 개발하였다. 황해 해수면 온도를 가시화할 수 있는 GUI 프로그램을 소개하였고, WOA (World Ocean Atlas) 2018 해양 실측 수온 및 염분자료와 국립해양조사원에서 생성한 해양 수치모델 재분석자료를 활용하여 수온과 염분의 공간 분포를 도시하는 자료를 개발하여 제시하였다. 이러한 해양 자료를 활용한 데이터 시각화과정은 교사들의 오개념을 개선하고, 나아가 학생들과 교사들의 해양 리터러시뿐만 아니라 데이터 리터러시도 제고하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.

위성영상의 방사적 특성을 고려한 구름 탐지 방법 개발 (Development of Cloud Detection Method Considering Radiometric Characteristics of Satellite Imagery)

  • 구름은 광학위성을 이용한 국토 관측 및 재난 대응, 변화 탐지 등 지표의 현상을 관측하는데 있어 많은 어려운 문제를 야기한다. 구름의 존재는 영상 처리 단계 뿐만 아니라 최종적으로는 데이터의 품질에 영향을 미치므로 이를 반드시 식별하고 제거하는 과정이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 위성영상 내 구름의 분광패턴에 가장 근접한 화소를 탐색 및 추출해 최적의 임계값을 선정하고 임계값을 바탕으로 구름 산출물을 제작하는 일련의 과정을 자동으로 수행하는 새로운 구름 탐지 기법을 개발하고자 하였다. 구름 탐지 기법은 크게 세 단계로 구성된다. 첫 번째 단계에서는 Digital Number (DN) 단위 영상을 대기상층 반사율 단위로 변환하는 과정을 수행한다. 두 번째 단계에서는 대기상층 반사율 영상을 이용하여 Hue-Value-Saturation (HSV) 변환 및 삼각형 임계 처리, 최대우도 분류 등의 전처리를 적용하고 각 영상별로 초기 구름 마스크 생성을 위한 임계값을 결정한다. 세번째 후처리 단계에서는 생성된 초기 구름 마스크에 포함된 노이즈를 제거하고 구름 경계 및 내부를 개선한다. 구름 탐지를 위한 실험 자료로 구름의 공간적, 계절적 분포의 다양성을 보여주는 4~11월 시기에 한반도 지역에서 촬영된 국토위성 L2G 영상을 사용하였다. 제안 방법의 성능을 검증하기 위해 단일 임계화 방법으로 생성된 결과를 비교하였다. 실험 결과, 제안 방법은 기존 방법과 비교하여 전처리 과정을 통해 각 영상의 방사학적 특성을 고려할 수 있어 보다 정확하게 구름을 검출할 수 있었다. 또한, 구름 개체를 제외한 나머지 밝은 물체(판넬식 지붕, 콘크리트 도로, 모래 등)의 영향을 최소화하는 결과를 보여주었다. 제안 방법은 기존 방법 대비 F1-score 기준으로 30% 이상의 개선된 결과를 보여주었으나 눈이 포함된 특정 영상에서 한계점이 있었다.
