공간 및 시간준위 보간 특성곡선법의 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Spatial and Temporal Line Interpolation of Characteristic Method)

  • 특성곡선이 통과하는 인접 시간준위에서의 3개 격자점을 이용한 시간준위 Lagrange 보간기법을 개발하여, 기존의 시간준위 보간기법인 Reachback 기법과 두가지 공간 보간기법, 즉 Upwind 기법과 3개의 공간 격자점을 이용한 공간 2차 보간기법과 함께 두가지 형태의 오염원 이송문제에 각각 적용 하므로써 공간 및 시간준위 보간기법에 의한 수치해의 정확도를 비교, 분석하였다. 본 연구결과에 의하면 동일한 차수의 보간기법을 비교할 경우, 공간보간 기법보다 시간 보간기법을 이용하면 수치분산 또는 수치진동이 적은 보다 정확한 수치해를 구할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 본 연구에서 제시한 기법은 기존 시간준위 보간기법에 의한 해의 장점을 포함하면서 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

고해상도 다중분광영상 제작을 위한 합성방법의 비교 (Comparison of Image Merging Methods for Producing High-Spatial Resolution Multispectral Images)

  • 상업위성에서 공급되는 고해상도영상의 활용을 증대하기 위한 영상합성에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 합성에 사용된 고해상도 흑백영상과 저해상도 다중분광영상은 항공기탑재 다중분광 주사기에 의해 촬영된 네 밴드의 영상을 이용하여 모의 제작하였다. 모의 합성된 2rl 해상도의 흑백 영상과 Bnl 해상도의 네 밴드 영상에 대하여 다섯 가지 합성방법(MWD, ItIS, PCA, HPF, CN, PCA) 을 적용하였다. 합성된 영상에 대해서 원래 영상들이 가지고 있던 공간해상도와 분광정보 측면의 특성을 분석하고자, 육안판독, 통계치비교, semivariogram, 분광반사특성 등을 비교하였다. MWD 변환방법에 의하여 합성된 영상이 공간해상도 및 분광정보 측면에서 모두 합성에 사용된 원래 영상과 근접한 결과를 보였다.

국제규범과 국내 법제도의 문화재 공간 보호개념 비교연구 (A Comparative Study of International Norms and Korea Legal system related to the Concept of Spatial Safeguarding in Cultural Heritage)

  • From the "Recommendation on the Safeguarding of the Beauty and Character Landscapes and Sites"(1962) to the "ICOMOS-IFLA Document on Historic Urban Public Parks"(2017), 'the spatial safeguarding Concept of Cultural Heritage' in International Norms has manifested in various types. In this article, 24 types of International Norms that reflect 'the concept of Spatial Safeguarding in Cultural Heritage' and Korea legal system such as 'Historical and Cultural Environment' were analyzed in the following two aspects. The first aspect is 'Object Type to safeguard' and analyzed in four types such as 'Groups of buildings(A type)', 'Surrounding, Environment, Setting(B type)', 'Cultural landscape(C type)', 'Historic area and Historic towns(D type)'. The second aspect is 'Safeguarding value(analysis elements)' and analyzed in the following tree elements ; 'Landscape value' such as skyline, 'Intangible value' such as the functions of cultural customs, and 'Ecological value' that should preserve life itself. As a result of the study, 'the concept of Spatial Safeguarding in Cultural Heritage' including C and D type and three value which are trends of International Norms are reflected in Korea legal system, and concrete safeguarding methodology is also implemented systematically in case of ecological value. However, intangible values are not specific to the methodology in both International norms and Korea legal systems, and should be developed in the future.

Transverse buckling analysis of spatial diamond-shaped pylon cable-stayed bridge based on energy approach

  • The stability of cable-stayed bridges is an important factor considered during design. In recent years, the novel spatial diamond-shaped bridge pylon has shown its advantages in various aspects, including the static response and the stability performance with the development of cable-stayed bridge towards long-span and heavy-load. Based on the energy approach, this paper presents a practical calculation method of the completed state stability of a cable-stayed bridge with two spatial diamond-shaped pylons. In the analysis, the possible transverse buckling of the girder, the top pylon column, and the mid pylon columns are considered simultaneously. The total potential energy of the spatial diamond-shaped pylon cable-stayed bridge is calculated. And based on the principle of stationary potential energy, the transverse buckling coefficients and corresponding buckling modes are obtained. Furthermore, an example is calculated using the design parameters of the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, a 1176 m cable-stayed bridge under construction in China, to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method in practical engineering. The critical loads and the buckling modes derived by the proposed method are in good agreement with the results of the finite element method. Finally, cable-stayed bridges varying pylon and girder stiffness ratios and pylon geometric dimensions are calculated to discuss the applicability and advantages of the proposed method. And a further discussion on the degrees of the polynomial functions when assuming buckling modes are presented.

현대주거의 기하조작에 의한 보이드 공간의 생성과 친환경적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Formation of Void Space by Geometric Method and Environment-friendly Characteristics in Contemporary Housing)

  • This study is aimed to grasp the spatial characteristics exhibited in the modern housing architecture from the aspect of a geometrical manipulation, which transforms basic geometrical shapes and persue the formative diversity, to identify and verify the various characteristics of spatial structure in modern housing architecture. In this regard, this paper analyze and identify the influences of the void spaces that are created by geometrical manipulations on housing architecture, in terms of morphological and environmental aspects. Theoretical approaches define the concept of geometrical manipulation according to the characteristics of residence and examine the spatial features of void spaces. Additionally, case studies result in the classification of void spaces that are created by geometrical manipulation. Furthermore, to understand environment-friendly characteristics of the void space, the researcher elicited the factors that can affect environment friendly housing from previous studies, and analyzed their correlation between those factors and the void spaces that are classified.

Spatial and Temporal Distribution of Zooplankton in Gwangyang and Sachon Bay, Korea

  • Zooplankton dynamics were investigated based on samples collected monthly during the period between November 1998 and October 1999 at 15 stations in Gwangyang and Sachon Bay. Zooplankters were quantitatively collected with horizontal towing through the surface and oblique hauling from the bottom to surface at each station, simultaneously. A total of 88 taxa of zooplankton were distributed and 60 taxa were identified to species. Copepods showed the prosperity in species number of 52 species. Number of taxa occurred in samples hauled obliquely always showed $2\~5$ more species than those captured in the surface except for stations near the Namhae bridge. In waters near Namhae bridge, fast current seemed to mix waters vertically. Seasonally these differences were more distinct in the spring and summer than those in other seasons possibly due to the stratification in warmer seasons. In quantitative aspects, differences between two layers seemed to be obscure. Spatial and temporal variations in species diversity of copepods showed more prosperity in pelagic realm than those in the surface. Our collection carrying out in day time might be one of the important reason to cause these differences in zooplankton dynamics between two layers.

  • The planning and management of the watershed environment require huge amount of information regarding almost all aspects of natural and manmade features of the area. Until lately this study could be achieved through days of exhaustive surveys map generation and tedious calculations. Remote sensing and GIS provides huge temporal database for an area and GIS provides the powerful tool for spatial and non-spatial analysis of remotely sensed data. The paper highlights the assessment of land potentiality using weighed overlay analysis with drainage density, soil, slope and lineament, LULC map was used to identify the utilization area of the watershed. The arithmetic overlay analysis was performed with potential and utilization layer to assess the availability of land for the future development.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the design guidance of education facilities by analysing Alvaro Siza's education facilities of which considered having idiosyncratic spatial characteristics. Focusing on the his planning of learning and transitional space of education facilities, this study aims at eliciting the spatial characteristics of his architecture. In doing so, this study tries to figure out his basic method of reification of his basic architectural concept which is articulated in learning space and transitional space of education facilities by introducing the boundary element and penetration of light in order to support student's learning activity and foster abundant cognitive experiences. Therefore, this study presents the feasible supplementary design method for future education facilities to be appropriate not just for quantitative factors, but for qualititative aspects such as user's psychological fulfillment, and emotional satisfaction.

Crime hotspot prediction based on dynamic spatial analysis

  • Crime is not a completely random event but rather shows a pattern in space and time. Capturing the dynamic nature of crime patterns is a challenging task. Crime prediction models that rely only on neighborhood influence and demographic features might not be able to capture the dynamics of crime patterns, as demographic data collection does not occur frequently and is static. This work proposes a novel approach for crime count and hotspot prediction to capture the dynamic nature of crime patterns using taxi data along with historical crime and demographic data. The proposed approach predicts crime events in spatial units and classifies each of them into a hotspot category based on the number of crime events. Four models are proposed, which consider different covariates to select a set of independent variables. The experimental results show that the proposed combined subset model (CSM), in which static and dynamic aspects of crime are combined by employing the taxi dataset, is more accurate than the other models presented in this study.

비행안전을 고려한 조종사의 비행착각에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Spatial Disorientation of Pilots for Flight Safety)

  • Statistical data have shown that most of aircraft accidents attributed to the spatial disorientation result from visually restricted environments such as a flight amid clouds or a night flight, in particular during roll maneuvering. This study investigates the time necessary for a flighting pilot to recognize a sloped status as a horizontal status on the condition that the roll maneuver is operating when the visual sense is blocked In this study, aspects which affect such disorientation phenomena are examined. The result of this study shows that a pilot is rushed into a somatogyral illusion when a certain time elapses with visual sense blocked, and that as a speed of the flight increases and a bank of aircraft decreases, so a rushing time increases rapidly.
