Bluff Body 후류에 형성되는 확산화염의 보염특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the stabilization characteristics of the diffusion flame formed behind a bluff body)

  • The stability of diffusion flame formed behind a bluff body with fuel injection slits was experimentally investigated in various fuel injection angles, fuel injection ratios, grids and extension ducts. The flame stability limits, temperature distributions and length of recirculation zones, direct photographs of flames were measured in order to discuss the stabilization mechanism of the diffusion flame. The results from this study are as follows. The fuel injection angle is an important factor in determining the flame stability. Stability limits can be improved by variety of the fuel injection ratio. When the grid and extension duct are set, stability characteristics are varied with the blockage ratios, grid intervals, and grid numbers. The recirculation zone not only serves as a steady ignition source of combustion stream but also governs the stabilization mechanism.

  • 본 연구에서는 ASTM의 단일시편법으로 시험해석할 때에 나타나는 가장 큰 문 제점인 균열길이 감소현상의 원인해석과, 균열길이 감소현상을 고려한 균열길이 측정 수정식을 제안하고자 하며, 다음 절차로 연구를 수행하였다. (1) 균열선단의 응력장해석과, 이 응력장해석에 의한 균열길이 감소현상을 해석하였 다. (2) CT와 TPB 시편에서의 균열길이 측정식의 수정식을 제안하였다. (3) 이 수정식의 타당성을 $J_{IC}$ 시험해석을 통하여 검토하였다.다.

  • CMR Materials RE/sub 1-x/Ca/sub x/MnO₃(RE=La, Nd, A=Ca, Sr) were grown using the floating zone image furnace with halogen lamps as heat source. The growth condition was at 2∼10 mm/hr growth rate in air atmosphere, were 445∼50 rpm and 20∼25 rpm of rotation rate of feedrod and growing crystal, respectively. The grown crystals showed shiny black color and annealed at 1500℃ in a box furnace to release the residual stress during cooling. Characterization analyses of the crystal were carried out using XRD and SEM. The crystal structure of Nd/sub 0.7/Ca/sub 0.3/MnO₃ was analyzed with smart CCD XRD was lattice parameter of a=5.425(4)Å, b=5.434(4)Å, and c=7.712(5)Å, an orthorombic system with space group of pbnm.

  • Multiple sound sources are controlled to enhance sound power within a zone of interest. The problem of enhancing acoustic variable can be regarded as an optimization problem, which seeks an optimal control input that maximizes the acoustic variable. It should be noted that enhancing sound power of a selected region requires both the magnitude and direction to be controlled. For this reason, two kinds of cost functions that can represent the spatially distributed intensity are defined. Theoretical formulation shows the possibility of sound power control in a zone, and the detailed procedures of the proposed method are validated by numerical simulations.

  • This study investigated the oviposition characteristics of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis after emergence as adults from the larva collected from three regions in Gangwon-do, Chungcheongnam-do, and Jeju-do. The laying egg method was identified with zone breeding, and the average and cumulative number of eggs laid were measured once a week for seven weeks. The average number of eggs laid peaked until 4 weeks, and subsequently decreased. The source areas with respect to average number and cumulative number of eggs laid were in the order of Jeju > Chungnam > Gangwon. In conclusion, this result suggests a method for continuously improving management and economic feasibility of insect farming by securing genetic diversity, and raising the most productive breeds to select individuals form regions associated with high numbers of laid eggs.

  • This paper proposes a method to generate virtual intensity field in space. The sound field of a zone enclosing the listener position is controlled to have maximum acoustic intensity to the desired direction. In order to control acoustic intensity of a zone, space-averaged active intensity is introduced. The ratio of space-averaged active intensity and control effort is defined as a cost function and expressed as a function of source control signals. It is shown that the cost function represents radiation efficiency of multiple sources. The control signals maximizing the cost function is found through eigenvalue analysis. The proposed method is verified by numerical simulations performed in free field condition, and the results provide a relation between wavelength and the size of controllable intensity field.

  • The automotive industry is in constant pursuit of alternative materials and processes to address the ever changing needs of their customers and the environment. Applications of laser welding have increased steadily in recent years due to its benefits including high speed, high productivity, and high energy density of heat source. This paper investigated the relationship between laser welding parameters and penetration characteristics. The Welding power was fixed at 5kW and welding speeds were varied for the thickness of the workpiece material. Full penetration occurred in the energy per unit area of $21J/mm^2$. The hardness of the weld zone was different for each strength of the workpiece material, however the lowest hardness values were the same in the heat-affected zone.

  • A safety assessment is carried out for the near-surface radioactive waste disposal in the reference engineered vault facility. The analysis is mainly divided into two parts. One deals with the release and transport of radionuclide in the vault and unsaturated zone. The other deals with the transport of radionuclide in the saturated zone and radiological impacts to a human group under well drinking water scenario. The parameters for source-term, geosphere and biosphere models are mainly obtained from the site specific data. The results show that the annual effective doses are dominated by long lived, mobile radionuclides and their associated daughters. And it is found that the total effective dose for drinking water is far below the general criteria of regulatory limit for radioactive waste disposal facility.

  • An acoustic field in a 3 dimensional enclosure is caused from interference between sound sources and the complex reflections from wall. Therefore, changing an acoustic property of wall such as admittance means generating another acoustic field. The purpose of this paper is utilizing the characteristic to make a quiet zone. First, this paper shows that the control material is essentially on the same road as active noise control(ANC). That is, we can consider the control material as the control source of ANC. However we cannot control the reflection strength of it. Second, through a numerical simulation, this paper shows that the position of the control material is an important variable of the control.

  • 연안 쇄파역에서 파랑 측정에 적절한 축전 용량식 주상 파고계(capacitance wavestaff system)를 연구 제작하였다. 실험에 의하면 제작된 파고계는 수온이나 염분 등 해수의 물성 변화에 의한 영향을 받지 않으며, 수면의 높이와 파고계의 출력 신호는 선형 관계를 갖는다. 이 파고계의 측정 오차는 주로 현장 관측의 파고계 설치시 발생하는 오차에 기인하므로 이를 최소화 시키기 위해서는 세심한 주의를 요한다.
