  • Recently, a score-penalty method has been used for the acoustic passive tracking of marine mammals. The interesting aspect of this technique lies in the loss function, which has a penalty term representing the mismatch between the measured signal and the modeled signal, while the traditional time-domain matched-field processing is positively considering the match between them. In this study, we apply the score-penalty method into the depth estimation of a passive target with a known source waveform. Assuming deep ocean environments with uncertainties in the sound speed profile, we evaluate the score-penalty method, comparing it with the time-domain matched field processing method. We shows that the score-penalty method is more accurate than the time-domain matched field processing method in the ocean environment with weak mismatch of sound speed profile, and has better efficiency. However, in the ocean enviroment with strong mismatch of the sound speed profile, the score-penalty method also fails in the depth estimation of a target, similar to the time-domain matched-field processing method.

  • Among 203 avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) isolated from poultry with colibacillosis in korea, 14 isolates were selected from total 68 isolates transferred R plasmid and classified into 5 groups on the basis of antimicrobial minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) pattern, farm source and O serotype. An association between clonal origin and R plasmid of them was investigated by R plasmid profile, restriction endonuclease analysis and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE). The strains that showed the same or very similar antimicrobial MIC pattern, but different farm source and O serotype, revealed different PFGE pattern, which seemed to be different clonal origin. And the strains that showed the same MIC pattern and O serotype, revealed different PFGE pattern, seemed to be originated from different clone. Also the strains showing the same MIC pattern and farm source, but different O serotype, revealed to be different clonal origin. The strains that showed the same or similar MIC pattern, farm source, and O serotype, revealed identical or similar PFGE pattern, which seemed to belong to be one clone. Meanwhile, horizontal transfer of R plasmid seems to be common in APEC with regardless of O serotype and clone of the strains. These results indicate that rapid and accurate epidemiological survey of APEC can be possible by the combination of O serotyping, plasmid profiling and PFGE analysis following the classification of them into groups of antimicrobial drug resistance pattern.

  • New single-source precursor, [AlCI3:NH2tBu] was synthesized for AlN thin f film processing with AICI3 (Aluminum Chloride) and tBuNH2 (tert-butylamine). AlN thin films for packaging aspplication were deposited on sapphire substrate by a atmosph하ie-pressure MOCVD. In most of other study methyl-based AI precursors w were used for source, But herein Aluminum Chloride was used for as AI source i in order to prevent the carbon contamination in the films and stabilize the p precursor. New precursor showed the very high gas vapor pressure so it allowed to m make the film under atmospheric-pressure and get the high purified film. High q quality AlN thin film was obtained at 700 to $900^{\circ}C$. The new precursor was p purified by a sublimation technique and help to fabricate high purity film. It s showed high vapor pressure, which is able to a critieal factor for the high purity a and atmospheric CVD of AlN. High Quality AIN thin film was obtained at $700-900^{\circ}C$. • There are many varieties of asbestos: chrysotile, crocidolite, amosite, tremolite, actinolite, and anthophylite. These are widely used in construction materials, brake lining, textile, and so on. Even though non-asbestos fibers such as glassfiber and rockwool have manufactured because asbestos causes asbestosis, lung cancer, mesothelioma, etc., some bad effects of non-asbestos have been also reported. PCM (phase contrast microscopy) and PLM (polarized light microscopy) have been used to qualitatively analyze asbestoses. These techniques have serious drawbacks when identifying and separating various asbestoses. Recently scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) has been known as an useful tool to analyze airborne particle since it provides physical and chemical information simultaneously. The purpose of the study was to classify both asbestos and non-asbestos fibers and finally to develop their source profiles by using the SEM/EDX. The source profiles characterized by 6 different types of asbestos fibers and 2 types of non-asbestos fibers had been developed by analyzing a total of 380 fibers. Analytical parameters used in this study were length, width, aspect ratio, and shape as physical information, and Na, Mg, Al, Si, K, Ca, Cr, Mn, Fe, and Cu as chemical information. All the parameters were intensively reviewed.

  • Geographic routing has been considered as an efficient simple, and scalable routing protocol for wireless sensor networks since it exploits pure location information instead of global topology information to route data packets. Geographic routing requires the sources nodes to be aware of the location of the sinks. In this paper, we propose a scheme named Sink Location Service for geographic routing in wireless Sensor Networks, in which the source nodes can get and update the location of sinks with low overhead. In this scheme, a source and a sink send data announcement and query messages along two paths respectively by geographic routing. The node located on the crossing point of the two paths informs the source about the location of the sink. Then the source can send data packet to the sink by geographic routing. How to guarantee that these two paths have at least one crossing point in any irregular profile of sensor network is the challenge of this paper.

  • The method using Rankine Soure distribution over the hull surface and undisturbed free surface was applied to calculate the free surface flow around a ship. The ship hull as well as a local portion of the undisturbed free surface arc geometrically represented by quadrilateral panels and the source density is determined so as to satisfy the linearized free surface condition based on the double model flow. The pressure distribution, wave resistance, wave profile and hydrodynamic sinkage force and trim moment for the Wigley hull and the Series 60 hull with $C_B=0.60$ were calculated in the fixed condition. The calculated results were compared with the measured values. The dependance of the solution on the panel arrangement, particularly on the free suraface, was also studied through 11 numerical test cases for the Wigley hull.

  • In traditional criminal cases, there is a limit to information collection because information on the subject of investigation is provided only with personal information held by the national organization of legal. Surface web-based OSINT(Open Source Intelligence), including SNS and portal sites that can be searched by general search engines, can be used for meaningful profiling for criminal investigations. The Korean-style OSINT workflow can effectively profile based on OSINT, but in the case of individuals, OSINT that can be collected is limited because it begins with "name", and the reliability is limited, such as collecting information of the persons with the same name. In order to overcome these limitations, this paper defines information related to individuals, i.e., equivalent information, and enables efficient and accurate information collection based on this. Therefore, we present an improved workflow that can extract information related to a specific person, ie., equivalent information, from OSINT. For this purpose, different workflows are presented according to the person's profile. Through this, effective profiling of a person (individuals) is possible, thereby increasing reliability in collecting investigation information. According to this study, in the future, by developing a system that can automate the analysis process of information collected using artificial intelligence technology, it can lay the foundation for the use of OSINT in criminal investigations and contribute to diversification of investigation methods.

  • We have observed the emission of $HC_3N$ J=4-3, 5-4,10-9 and 12-11 transitions toward the Sgr B2 central region in an area of $150'\times150'$ with resolutions of 16'-48'. The intensities and central velocities of line profiles show significant variations with positions. In contrast to the intensities of the low J-level transitions which gradually increase from the central source toward the outside region, the $HC_3N$ emission of the high J-level transition become stronger toward 'the central radio continuum source MD5. Systematic change in the radial velocity of each line profile occurs along north-south direction. There are a few peaks in most line profiles, and these indicate that there are multiple velocity components along the line of sight. Distributions of excitation temperature and column density which were estimated from the excitation calculations show the existence of a small $(1\times2pc),\;hot\;(T_{ex}>50K)$ core which contains two temperature peaks at-15' east and north of MD5. The column density of $HC_3N\;is\;(1-3)\times10^{14}cm^{-2}$ Column density at distant position from MD5 is larger than that in the central region. We have deduced that this 'hot-core' has a mass of 105M 0, which is about an order of magnitude larger than those obtained by previous studies.

  • Polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) were measured in pine needles of Seoul, and Ansung(GyeongGi-do) to investigate composition, source, and regional concentration of PBDEs. Concentration of total PCBs in Seoul and Ansung showed 608, 945 pg/g DW (mean: 777 pg/g DW), respectively, also concentration of total PBDEs(pg/g DW) in Seoul and Ansung showed 7944, 14,255 pg/g DW(mean 11,100 pg/g DW). Tetrachlorinated biphenyls(Tetra-CBs) and Decabromodiphenyl ethers (Deca-BDE) were detected in relatively high concentration compared to other PBDE congeners in Seoul and Ansung. Correlation coefficients(r) of between PCB congeners in pine needles detected of Seoul and Ansung were significant (r=0.85, p<0.01). It suggested that PCBs concentration in pine needles may originate from secondary sources such as air-plant partition. The similarity of between PBDE congeners profile to those of the technical mixture formulation (Bromkal 70-5DE) suggests a source of this product in these sites.

  • This paper introduces the use of a crown-shaped (CR) lens to effectively diffuse the light from a light-emitting diode (LED) without any loss in the light intensity, in contrast to polymer-bulb-type diffusers. The diffusion lens was designed based on the Snell's law, which describes the physical path of a ray passing through the boundary between different media. CR lenses were fabricated by polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) casting and UV-embossing processes, which used a pre-designed metal mold and UV-curable resin, respectively. Through experiments and optical evaluations, it was verified that the newly proposed CR lens not only decreased the vertical light strength and glare effect from an LED light source but also improved the diffusion characteristics while maintaining the quality of the LED's light intensity.
