일반 광원을 이용한 PIV의 속도 측정 (Velocity Measurement of PIV Using a General Light Source)

  • A particle image velocimetry is the representative technique for measuring flow velocities at whole field simultaneously. The present study adopted the PTV method for velocity acquisition in a square enclosure with initially isothermal fluid by using a general lamp-based sheet light source. The enclosure was composed of hot and cold vertical wall and was confined by two horizon-tal adiabatic walls. The drift velocities were measured and the drift was visualized by PTV for a rayleigh number of 5.28{\times}10^8.$ Obtained instant simulataneous velocity vectors show flow pattern and the result of horizontal velocity profile agree well with the numerical result.

  • 국내 유해 적조발생에 따른 어패류 양식장에 지속적인 피해가 증가함에 따라서 적조에 대하여 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 자동으로 적조 이미지를 인식하여서 유해적조생물을 판별하는 적조생물 이미지 검색에 대한 국내의 연구는 미흡한 실정에 있다. 본 논문은 오픈소스 기반의 딥러닝을 이용하여 적조생물 이미지를 분류할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안방법은 다양하게 표현되는 적조생물 이미지의 인식문제를 해결하기 위하여 텐서프로 프레임워크와 구굴 이미지 분류 모델을 이용하여 구현하였다.

  • Endoscope image is the shape that a doctor sees inside of patient through endoscope. The characteristics of these images are much effected by the light source of endoscope, specially areas in short distance from a light have much light source and look clear, but areas in long distance from a light look dark relatively because of little light quantity. So we developed a new level adaptive image enhancer for the dark area in a endoscope image. The algorithm we made consists of three parts ; 1) Classification of histogram in segmented area 2) Smoothing and Adaptive Histogram Equalization 3) Adaptive Histogram Modification.

Evaluation of Geo-based Image Fusion on Mobile Cloud Environment using Histogram Similarity Analysis

  • Mobility and cloud platform have become the dominant paradigm to develop web services dealing with huge and diverse digital contents for scientific solution or engineering application. These two trends are technically combined into mobile cloud computing environment taking beneficial points from each. The intention of this study is to design and implement a mobile cloud application for remotely sensed image fusion for the further practical geo-based mobile services. In this implementation, the system architecture consists of two parts: mobile web client and cloud application server. Mobile web client is for user interface regarding image fusion application processing and image visualization and for mobile web service of data listing and browsing. Cloud application server works on OpenStack, open source cloud platform. In this part, three server instances are generated as web server instance, tiling server instance, and fusion server instance. With metadata browsing of the processing data, image fusion by Bayesian approach is performed using functions within Orfeo Toolbox (OTB), open source remote sensing library. In addition, similarity of fused images with respect to input image set is estimated by histogram distance metrics. This result can be used as the reference criterion for user parameter choice on Bayesian image fusion. It is thought that the implementation strategy for mobile cloud application based on full open sources provides good points for a mobile service supporting specific remote sensing functions, besides image fusion schemes, by user demands to expand remote sensing application fields.

경사조사(傾斜照射) 강판튜브 방사선 관측영상의 수직 방향 공간분석 (Vertical Space Analysis for Gradient Radiating Steel-tube Radiographic Image)

  • In this paper we propose an directional analytic approach in image data space for X-ray image which is detected from the X-ray projection system. Such a radiographic nondestructive testing has long been used for steel-tube inspection and weld monitoring. The welded area and thickness of steel-tube are detected from gradient radiating mechanism based on the evaluation of biased X-ray source position. The welded area is an ellipse type on low contrast X-ray image including noise. Noise originates from most of elements of the system. such as shielding CCD camera, imaging screen, X-ray source, inspected object, electronic circuits and etc.. Projection incorrectness and noise influence on imaging quality is to be represented by vertical pixels' distribution. Space analysis due to vertical direction also shows the segmental possibility between regions by visual edge evaluation.

두부 측 방향 방사선검사 시 선원 영상수용체간 거리와 검사 자세 변화가 선량과 영상품질에 미치는 영향 (Assessment of Dose and Image Quality according to the Change of Distance from Source to Image Receptor and the Examination Posture during the Skull Lateral Radiography)

  • This study proposes a new skull lateral examination, and provides an improved examination environment for patients and radiologists. The study was divided into three groups. One group was divided into the SID (source to image receptor distance) 110 ㎝ and 180 ㎝ in the skull lateral posture, the other group The other group was divided into an position in contact with the detector and an position without contact with the detector, and the other group was divided into male and female groups, considering that the difference in shoulder width between adult males and females would affect the dose and image quality. For dose evaluation, the ESD (entrance surface dose) was measured at the EAM (external auditory meatus), and the conditions were applied equally at 70 ㎸p, 200 ㎃, and 10 ㎃s. For image quality evaluation, SNR (signal to noise ratio) and CNR (contrast to noise ratio) were measured in frontal sinus, EAM, and sella turcica. As a result of ESD comparison, when sid 110 ㎝ to sid 180 ㎝ was changed among the three groups, ESD values decreased the most to 729.18±4.62 μ㏉ and 224.18±0.74 μ㏉ at 180 ㎝ (p<0.01). The values of SNR and CNR were statistically significant (p<0.01), but there was no qualitative difference. This shows that when the SID is 180 ㎝, it is possible to reduce the dose without lowering the image quality. So, It is suggested that the SID 180 ㎝ is used without contacting the detector when examining the skull lateral.

위성영상 분류 기반 주암댐 유역 비점오염부하량 평가 (Estimation of Nonpoint Source Pollutant Loads of Juam-Dam Basin Based on the Classification of Satellite Imagery)

  • 본 연구에서는 비점오염원 평가에서 기대평균농도 적용에 필요한 토지피복 클래스를 추출하기 위해 Landsat TM 영상의 근적외선밴드 자료를 이용하여 농경지를 논과 밭으로 분류하였다. 환경부의 대분류와 중분류 자료를 이용하여 영상에서 분류한 토지피복도의 정확도를 평가한 결과, 각각 83.96%와 78.41%로 높은 정확도를 확보할 수 있었다. 그리고 영상분류를 통해 추출한 토지피복도를 기초로 하여 유출곡선지수와 직접유출을 평가한 결과 동복댐과 동복천 유역이 높게 분석되었다. 또한 유역별 기대평균농도 분석에서는 BOD, TN, TP 모두 겸백 수위표와 보성강상류 유역이 높게 나타났으며, 직접유출과의 조합을 통한 비점오염원 분석에서도 겸백 수위표와 보성강 상류 유역이 높게 분석되어 비점오염원 관리를 위한 중점 대상지역으로 선정되었다.

영상 분할을 이용한 반자동 제어선 정합에 의한 필드 기반 모핑 (A Field-based Morphing with Semi-automatic Control Lines Matching Using Image Segmentation)

  • 필드 기반 영상 모핑은 제어선을 지정하는 과정의 대부분을 사용자의 수작업에 의존하기 때문에 작업 시간이 많이 소요될 뿐만 아니라 양질의 결과를 얻기 위해서는 숙련을 요하는 불편함이 있다. 본 논문은 소스 영상과 목표 영상에서 모핑 대상체 쌍의 형상 정보를 획득한 상태에서 사용자가 수동으로 최소한의 특징점 쌍만을 지정하면 이렇게 지정된 특징점 쌍을 기준 삼아 다각형 기반 정점 탐색에 의해 소스 영상과 목표 영상에 상호 대응되는 제어선들을 자동적으로 설정한 후, 제어선 길이의 비율과 제어선으로부터의 이격 거리를 이용하여 영상 모핑을 수행함으로써 영상 모핑의 반자동화를 실현할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에 따르면, 사용자가 제어선을 설정하는 시간을 단축할 수 있고 비숙련자도 최소의 제어선만을 지정하여 자연스러운 모핑 결과를 획득할 수 있는 이점이 있다.

Studies about Visible Light Distribution in PDP Cells with 3-dimesional Optical Code

  • In order to improve the accuracy of simulated results, new UV source was designed. Previously the optical simulation was performed with the symmetric planar UV source. To design new UV source, UV distribution from the plasma fluid code was implanted to the 3-dimensional optical code to generate the visible light distribution. The results from planar UV source and new UV source were compared with the ICCD (Intensified CCD) image in real PDP cell and analyzed the variation of geometries and optical properties.

  • In this paper, we propose a joint coding system for still images using source coding and powerful error correcting code schemes. Our system comprises an LVQ (lattice vector quantization) source coding for wavelet transformed images and turbo coding for channel coding. The parameters of the image encoder and channel encoder have been optimized for an n-D (dimension) cubic lattice (D$_{n}$, Z$_{n}$), parallel concatenation fur two simple RSC (recursive systematic convolutional code) and an interleaver. For decoding the received image in the case of the AWGN (additive white gaussian noise) channel, we used an iterative joint source-channel decoding algorithm for a SISO (soft-input soft-output) MAP (maximum a posteriori) module. The performance of transmission system has been evaluated in the PSNR, BER and iteration times. A very small degradation of the PSNR and an improvement in BER were compared to a system without joint source-channel decoding at the input of the receiver.ver.
