전압형 및 전류형 컨버터를 적용한 5MW PMSG 풍력발전시스템의 효율 비교 (Comparison of Efficiency for Voltage Source and Current Source Based Converters in 5MW PMSG Wind Turbine Systems)

  • This paper provides a comparison of power converter loss and thermal description for voltage source and current source type 5 MW-class medium-voltage topologies of wind turbines. Neutral-point clamped three-level converter is adopted for a voltage source type topology, whereas a two-level converter is employed for current source type topology, considering the popularity in the industry. To match the required voltage level of 4160 V with the same switching device of IGCT as in the voltage source converter, two active switches are connected in series for the case of current source converter. Transient thermal modeling of a four-layer Foster network for heat transfer is done to better estimate the transient junction and case temperature of power semiconductors during various operating conditions in wind turbines. The loss analysis is confirmed through PLECS simulations. Comparison result shows that the VSC-based wind turbine system has higher efficiency than the CSC under the rated operating conditions.

  • The microbial organisms named "Pseudomonas sp. LK-14" were isolated from farm land and shallow river sediment, activated, augmented and identified; which were using 2,4-D (2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) as a sole carbon source and energy source. 2,4-D removal efficiency of LK-14 with 2,4-D sole carbon source (reactor S) were higher than that of Activated Sludge with 2,4-D sole carbon source (reactor A). Dynamic bioligical reaction kinetic parameters (sole carbon source was 2,4-D) obtained from batch reactor experiments were ${\mu}_{max}$ $0.105hr^{-1}$, $K_{s,24D}$ 15.64mg/L, $K_{i,24D}$ $1.94h^{r-1}$, $Y_{24D}$ 0.39 for LK-14 and ${\mu}_{max}$ $0.008hr^{-1}$, $K_{s,24D}$ 26.95mg/L, $K_{i,24D}$ $1.75hr^{-1}$, $Y_{24D}$ 0.10 for Activated Sludge. Using these parameters, we could predict the behaviors of 2,4-D substrate utilized by LK-14 and Activated Sludge in batch reactors. The kinetic parameters are enable to predict the 2,4-D substrate and microbial population behavior entering into wastewater treatment plants by using unsteady states dynamic simulation modeling technique.

퍼프 유적선모델에 의한 대기오염물질의 장거리수송량의 평가 (Assessment of Long-Range Transport of Atmospheric Pollutants using a Trajectory Model with the puff Concept)

  • To investigate the source-receptor relationships aerosol model has been used to simulate the distribution behavior of the yellow sand. Data for meteorological fields were obtained by Meso-scale Analysis and Prediction Model System/Seoul National University (MAPMS/SNU) for five days (10-14 April 1988). To obtain the distributions of concentration of yellow sand,the aerosol model has been modified to allow quantifications of relative concentration distributions of yellow sand. Source regions of yellow sand were delineated by soil maps of China and emission rate as a function of wind stress(Westphal et al., 1987). Using 3-dimensional wind fields the backward trajectories from 3 receptor grids at the layer of .sigma. =0.95, 0.9, 0.85, 0.8 were calculated. In order to facilitate quantitative assessment of source-receptor relationships, it was assumed that the perturbations in along-trajectory and cross-trajectory proceed linearly with time, in accord with Gaussian distribution characteristics. On the basis of this assumption, the probability fields were calculated from every grid point with source strength 1. Using these probability fields and emission retes, the potential contributions of upstream sources along the trajectories were estimated. The results of this study indicate that the application of trajectory modeling is useful in investigating the quantitative relationship between source and receptor regions.

해양 정합장처리에서 매개변수 오정합과 바이어스 (Parameter Mismatches and its Biases in Ocean Matched Field Processing)

  • 해양환경에서 정합장처리를 통해 음원위치를 추정할 경우 실측신호의 음장과 복제음장 사이에 각종 매개변수의 오정합이 발생하여 상관값의 저하와 함께 음원 위치추정 결과에 바이어스를 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 정합장처리를 이용한 음원 위치추정에서 해양환경 및 시스템 오정합 매개변수로 인한 바이어스와 상관값의 변화 그리고 민감도에 대해서 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 Pekeris 해양 도파관에서 수치실험을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 매개변수 오정합이 음원 위치에서의 바이어스와 상관값의 감소를 발생시켰다. 또한 매개변수 민감도 평가를 통해 배열의 경사와 수심, 해저면 수심과 해저층의 음속이 민감도가 높음을 확인 할 수 있었다.

두개의 열원이 부착된 히트파이프의 동작 특성 (Operating characteristics of a heat pipe with two heat sources)

  • Numerical and experimental studies on a heat pipe with two heat sources have been performed to investigate the operating characteristics. Numerical analysis was performed based on the cylindrical two-dimensional incompressible laminar flow for the vapor space and the conjugate heat transfer for the entire heat pipe. Experimental study with a 0.45 m length copper-water heat pipe was also performed to validate the numerical modeling for the heat input range from 29 W to 47 W on each heater. As results, the temperature profiles at the outer wall for the single active heat source as well as the temperature profiles for the switching operation between two heat sources are suggested. Due to the axial conduction, it is found that the temperature drop between the evaporator and the condenser appears small when the heat source closer to the condenser is turned on. For the switching operation in the present study, the transient time is about 700s and the temperatures at the locations of both heat source are same in 130s after switching.

A STUDY ON INDUSTRIAL GAMMA RAY CT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE-DETECTOR PAIR

  • Having its roots in medical applications, industrial gamma ray CT has opened up new roads far investigating and modeling industrial processes. Using a line of research related to industrial gamma ray CT, the authors set up a system of single source and detector gamma transmission tomography for wood timber and a packed bed phantom. The hardware of the CT system consists of two servo motors, a data logger, a computer, a radiation source and a radiation detector. One motor simultaneously moves the source and the detector for a parallel beam scanning, whereas the other motor rotates the scan table at a preset projection angle. The image is reconstructed from the measured projections by the filtered back projection method. The phantom was designed to simulate a cross section of a packed bed with a void. The radiation source was 20mCi of Cs-137 and the detector was a 1 inch $\times$ 1 inch NaI (TI) scintillator shielded by a lead collimator. The experimental gamma ray CT image has sufficient resolution to reveal air holes and the density distribution inside the phantom. The system could possibly be applied to a packed bed column or a pipe flow in a petrochemical plant.

스트리머 방식 탐사 자료의 동시 송신원 전파형 역산을 위한 Global correlation 기반 목적함수 최적화 연구 (A Study on Optimization of the Global-Correlation-Based Objective Function for the Simultaneous-Source Full Waveform Inversion with Streamer-Type Data)

  • 동시 송신원 전파형 역산 기법은 계산량을 획기적으로 줄여 전파형 역산의 적용성을 높여준다. 그러나 다수의 송신원 모음 자료를 동시에 모델링하여 사용하기 때문에 관측 자료의 수진기 위치가 송신원에 따라 다른 경우, 나머지(residual) 파동장에 불필요한 값을 생성하게 되고 이는 파형역산의 수렴성을 저해하게 된다. 특히, 제한된 벌림 거리(offset)를 갖는 스트리머 방식의 탐사자료는 동시 송신원 기법을 적용하기에 가장 어려운 자료 형태이다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 최근에 global correlation에 기반한 목적함수가 제안되었고, 시간영역 전파형 역산에 성공적으로 적용되었다. 그러나 이 기법은 변형된 목적함수를 사용하기 때문에 나머지 파동장이 왜곡되고 경우에 따라 역산 결과에 부정적인 영향을 주기도 한다. 또한, 여러 가지 장점을 갖고 있는 주파수 영역 파형역산에 적용된 사례는 아직 보고된 적이 없다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 나머지 파동장의 왜곡을 최소화하기 위해 global correlation 계산 시 사용하는 자료에 진폭감쇠 기법을 적용한다. 진폭감쇠를 적용한 자료는 global correlation의 특성을 최적화하여 나머지 파동장의 왜곡을 줄이고 파형역산 결과를 향상시킨다. 시간 영역에서 구한 나머지 파동장을 주파수 영역에서 역전파시킴으로써 global correlation기법을 주파수 영역에서 구현한다. 스트리머 방식의 합성 탐사자료를 이용한 예제를 통해 본 논문에서 제안한 기법이 기존의 global correlation 목적함수에 기반한 동시 송신원 전파형 역산보다 향상된 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 보여준다.
