가계의 재무건전성과 은퇴준비에 관한 연구 (Financial Soundness and Retirement Preparation of Korean Households)

  • This study aims to investigate the financial soundness of Korean households and its effects on the retirement preparation of these households. The sample consisted of 1,031 households selected from the 4th Korean Retirement and Income Study (KReIS) by the National Pension Research Institute in 2012. The empirical results are as follows. According to the logistic regression model, the statistically significant factors affecting the retirement preparation of Korean households are gender, occupation type, residence, satisfaction with economic condition, and type of financial soundness-sound households or insolvency-risky households. In other words, more female-headed households and households with higher levels of occupation are less likely to prepare for retirement. The households that are more likely to prepare for retirement are those that are lived in metropolitan areas as opposed to the countryside; further, households that are more economically sound are also more likely to prepare for retirement. In particular, sound households and insolvency-risky households are less likely to prepare for retirement compared to liquidity-risky households.

  • A prediction model for the sound quality of household refrigerator noise was proposed by investigating subjective and objective attributes of the noise [Jeon et al. (2007) Appl. Acoust.]. In the present study, the just noticeable difference (JND) of each sound quality metric - Zwicker's loudness, sharpness, roughness and fluctuation strength - which constitute the prediction model was investigated. Loudness of recorded sound samples from five refrigerators were varied according to constant intervals in sound pressure levels. Sharpness was also changed at 14-16 barks. Auditory experiments were conducted to discriminate the JNDs of loudness and sharpness by method of limit. The results indicated that JNDs of loudness and sharpness were 0.50 sone and 0.08 acum, respectively.

냉장고 정상상태 소음의 음질 인덱스 개발을 위한 심리음향학적 연구 (Psychoacoustical Study for Sound Quality Index of Steady State Noise of Refrigerators)

  • Household refrigerator radiates noise of which the pattern is dependent on the operating condition of its parts, such as compressor, flow fans, etc. Thus the refrigerator noise has a variety of frequency characteristics. Therefore, it is required to consider the noise characteristics for evaluating the noise quality and eventually developing the sound quality index of the refrigerator noise. In this study, five units of household refrigerator were selected to measure their noises that were used to generate sound sources for jury test of the study. The measured noises of five refrigerators were divided into ten kinds of sound source by considering operating condition and frequency characteristics. Additionally, the ten sources were each edited to have the same SPL of 30 dBA. Totally twenty kinds of sound sources (10-original SPL, 10-edited SPL 30 dBA) were evaluated by twenty-two subjects, and compared with their sound quality metrics. It was found that only the loudness of the metrics was meaningfully correlated with the subjective evaluation. The rests, sharpness, roughness and fluctuation strength, were not related. The conclusion of this study is that a new sophisticated index is necessary to be developed to qualitatively evaluate the household refrigerator noise.

바닥충격음원의 특성과 재현성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic and Reproducibility of Floor Impact Sound Source)

  • From 1998, the number of household who live in apartment house outnumber that of household live in detached dwelling by 0.3% in Korea. As walls and floors are shared with neighbourhood in apartment houses, percent complaints to the impact noise from the upper floor was so high that it represents an important factor in apartment indoor noise. And the rate is closely correlate with children's running, playing and jumping. In this study, comparisons of standard impact source, such as Tapping Machine and Bang Machine, with real life impact sources were made in order to investigate acoustical characteristics between them. Also reproducibility tests for impact sound sources were carried out.

다수준 다변량 구조방정식을 이용한 활동참여와 통행행태 분석에 관한 연구 (Multilevel and Multivariate Structural Equation Models for Activity Participation and Travel Behavior)

  • 본 연구에서는 활동기반모형의 방법론중, 최근 많이 이루어지고 있는 구조방정식(SEM:Structural Equation Model)과 다수준 모형(Multi-Level Model)을 동시에 구축하여 개인의 활동참여와 통행행태의 가구 구성원간 영향력을 설명하였다. 모형의 실효성을 검증하기 위하여 미국 Puget Sound 지역에서 1989년부터 수행된 928 가구의 1,621명의 교통통행조사자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 개인의 활동참여와 통행행태의 가구간 유사성이 0.13에서 0.33의 값으로 예측되어 가구 구성원간에 강한 상호작용을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 유사성의 범위는 0에서 1의 범위를 가지나 0.05와 0.20의 값을 가져도 다수준 모형을 이용한 분석이 타당하다고 판단하기 때문에 본 연구에서 제시한 다수준 다변량 구조방정식을 이용한 개인의 활동참여와 통행행태 설명이 타당한 것으로 분석되었다.

층상배관 배수시스템의 소음 특성 평가 (Noise Characteristics of Plumbing System with Wall Hanging Unit)

  • Recently Requirement of indoor environment is increased in APT. Among indoor noises of APT, noise of plumbing system in bathroom is very serious problem except of floor impact noise. Plumbing system with wan hanging unit make a good grade and recognition in rating noise of bathroom in grade of house rating. But it is hard to find a data which are measured in APT built. In this study, the effect of noise reduction is checked by measuring the noise of plumbing system with wall hanging unit that is built. As result the upper household's Peak sound level is measured 80dB(A), the under household's peak sound level is measured 40dB(A).

가정용 냉장고에서 방사되는 소음의 패턴 분석 (Pattern Analysis of Noise Radiated from Household Refrigerator)

  • The noise pattern of a household refrigerator is dependent on the characteristics of its operating cycle which is repeated with a specific pattern depending on various parameters, such as room temperature and performance of its mechanical parts. Analysis of noise pattern is essential prior to evaluation of sound quality of a refrigerator. In this study, 14 units of refrigerator were classified into 4 types according to noise pattern and sort of mechanical part, which helps to analyze characteristics of refrigerator noise. Sound quality metrics(loudness, sharpness, roughness, and fluctuation strength) were calculated to compare noise pattern of the 4 types of refrigerator. The results of this study can be useful to decide noise performance of refrigerator.

  • Until now, product mostly has revealed physical quantities created by the standpoint of engineers. Consumers, however, perceive and evaluate products on the non-physical characteristics, such as feelings, emotions, and experiences in different social and cultural situations. Especially, for the household appliances fur instance air-conditioner or refrigerator, the sound is heavily related to the satisfaction of a customer who is a real user of the product and is very important factor to decide purchasing as well as visual design. Therefore, in this research, the general tendency of consumer's psychology was investigated for the appliances. And also, in order to obtain clear guidelines for sound manipulation, the characteristics of the sound of air-conditioning systems and refrigerators were compared with others. Since it is important to overcome the discrepancy between engineering and marketing, the relevance of sound manipulation must be documented from the consumer's perspective. That is the reason why we conducted a consumer and marketing oriented study.

  • The quality of various noises generated in the refrigerator is one of the important factors in deciding quality of the product. The main focus of sound control design has been shifted from reduction of sound level to improvement of sound duality for customer's preference. Up to date the purpose of noise control is the minimization of noise level. However despite of gradual decrease of noise level, occasionally the perceptional quality of noise has not been improved. In this paper, the relation between subjective and objective evaluation of sound quality has established and sound quality index is developed using ANN for evaluation of refrigerator's noise of both the starting noise and the stable running noise of compressor. To verify the usefulness of the index, the results in this paper have been compared with those surveyed by Consumer Union in USA.

소비자 청음 평가를 통한 냉장고 음질 평가 (Evaluation of the Sound Quality for the Refrigerator by Consumer's Sense of Hearing)

Therefore, in this research, not only the simple sound pressure level but also the consumer's sense of hearing evaluate the noise from the refrigerator. And also, in order to improve the quality of sound through the design change, the consumer's evaluation is analyzed and related to the engineering quantities.
