The sound absorption property, hand feel, air permeability and pore size of 25 kinds of traditional Korean natural wallpapers (Hanji) were measured and analyzed in this study. The sound absorption rate of Hanji became larger with increasing of frequency beginning from 3.2 kHz, reached 2 times in frequency range of nearby 4 kHz. The sound absorption rate of Hanji was increased as the permeability was lowered and the pore size was decreased. The sound absorption property of Hanji wallpaper could be improved by manufacturing process such as super calendering process.
Sound absorbing materials used for lightweight panels and interior material are mainly made of fibroid material such as glass wool or rock wool. However these fiber type sound absorbing materials have some problems such that sound absorption could be decreased as time goes by because of durability. In addition, dust scattering from fiber type material can cause another problem in health. In this point of view, this study aims to develop environment friendly sound absorbing material using Hwangto(so called loess or yellow soil), a traditional housing material. Hwangto is natural housing material in Korea and generally known for improving indoor air quality. Hwangto panel is made to construct on the floor, wall and ceiling, and expected that there is not enough absorption. Present study tried to develop environment friendly sound absorbing material that has high sound absorption performance with good environment performance in terms of air quality. Pore rate was designed to maximize the absorption in the specific frequency bands, and two kinds of backing space were applied in order to see the effect of backing space. As a result peak frequency that has maximum absorption is going high as the pore rate is increased. The backing space provides more absorption and makes the peak frequency down to low.

The square timbers of larch having cross section of $90mm{\times}90mm$ were glued laterally to be formed $1,200mm{\times}2,400mm$ panels which were used as cores for CLT wall panels. Then, structural plywood panels having size of $1,200mm{\times}2,400mm$ were used as cross band covering the small square timber cores to manufacture CLT wall panels. The sound absorption rate of CLT wall panels and polyester board attached CLT wall panels were investigated. The mean sound absorption coefficients of the former and the latter in the frequency range of 100-6400 Hz were 0.21 and 0.74, respectively. The noise reduction coefficients (NRC) of those were 0.21 and 0.40, respectively. Also, the mean sound transmission loss of CLT wood panel in the frequency range of 50-1600 Hz was 45.12 dB and that value at the frequency of 500 Hz was 42.49 dB. It was suggested that the polyester board attached CLT wall panels could be used as housing wall because of its high sound absorption rate and high sound transmission loss.

This study search for absorbing sound and exhaust-gas which aims to manufacture continuous void by using clay and foam, the surface of materials is covered with $TiO_{2}$ powder as heat treatment. According to the results of the experiment, the increase of thickness of manufactured sound absorbing materials caused the increase of absorption rate in the range of low and middle sound and thus it can be an important factor of improving absorption rate. Sound absorbing materials could satisfy 70% of the average of sound absorption ratio in 7cm thickness. Also, the manufactured sound absorbing materials is covered with $TiO_{2}$ showed an excellency in the clarification of exhaust-gas under ultraviolet rays treatment when 70% of removal rate and about 10% of generation rate of $NO_{2}$ is settled by the flow of 2 $\ell$/min NO gas. Especially, manufactured sound absorbing materials could improve compressive strength of continuos porous concrete. in the case of 7% bubble addition, when the substitution rate of coagulator was 30% and 20%, compressive strength was 45kgf/$cm^{2}$ and 65kgf/$cm^{2}$ respectively. As the substitution rate of coagulator reducing, compressive strength increased after preforming burnt clay.
Sound barrier walls are the most basic way to cope with noise problems in urban residential environments. The most important acoustic function of sound insulation board is represented by sound transmission loss and sound absorption coefficient. However, Korea has not yet established a standard for measuring the sound absorption rate of sound insulation boards. In addition, even in the European standard, where the overall acoustic standard of soundproofing boards has already been established, the sound absorption rate is applied only to the standard for measuring the sound absorption rate of general building finishing materials, and a separate measurement method considering the characteristics of soundproof walls and soundproofing boards is not presented. The sound absorption coefficient should be evaluated by summing up the energy absorbed into the material as well as the energy transmitted through the material, but the current European standard has a problem in that the transmitted sound energy is not taken into account. In this paper, we reviewed the sound absorption coefficient measurement standards of sound insulation boards currently being presented, and verified the difference between the results and the new measurement method considering transmission sound for sound insulation boards actually used in Korea.

The grounds of multipurpose practical use degree are built much holding world cup 2002 but material that is used in this building most external membrane ceiling is accomplishing PTEE A master and servant. Therefore, this research analyzed assessment about sound absorption special quality that measure ventilation quantitys of 10 act material and analyze correlation with Air Permeability and the sound absorption rate, and follow in change of layer of air of inside facts material. Result is as following. When Air Permeability good dimension is 5$\sim$15 cc/cm$^2$/sec and acoustic absorptivity is the best as Air Permeability result that measure acoustic absorptivity of inside facts material particularly firstly, could know 8$\sim$9 cc/cm$^2$/sec love. When establish sound absorption inside facts in external membrane as result that measure acoustic absorptivity of inside (acts material secondly, could know that acoustic absorptivity is good though become about minimum back layer of air 900mm.
In this study, the effect of carbonization temperature and mixing ratio of ceramics manufactured from sawdust, chaff and charcoal on sound absorption performance and density profile was investigated. The density profile of ceramics prepared by the addition rates of sawdust, chaff and charcoal showed the highest value at 91.00% when the ratio of sawdust, chaff and charcoal was 50:25:15. However, the difference in density profile according to the addition rate was insignificant. The density profile of ceramics manufactured according to the carbonization temperature showed the highest value of 88.06% when manufactured at 800℃. However, it does not show any particular trend, so it is understood that the effect of the carbonization temperature on the density gradient is small. On the other hand, the sound absorption coefficients of ceramics prepared by the addition rates of sawdust, chaff and charcoal is between 0.3 and 0.4 at almost all frequencies when the addition rates of sawdust, chaff and charcoal are 50:30:10 and 50:35:5, respectively. Therefore, as the chaff particles increased, the sound absorption performance was improved. In addition, the sound absorption coefficients of the ceramics manufactured at each carbonization temperature showed the highest value in the ceramics manufactured at 1,200℃.
In this study, sound absorption capability and sound transmission loss of several kinds of target densities and thickness for six species of wood bark particle were estimated by the transfer function and transfer matrix methods. Resultantly, the mean sound absorption coefficient of a 100-mm thick Hinoki wood bark particle mat was 0.90 in the frequency range of 100-6400 Hz, whereas the mean sound absorption rate of a 50-mm thick Hinoki wood bark particle mat was 0.84 in the same frequency range. Particularly, at a thickness of 100 mm, it reached almost up to 100% in the frequency range of 1 KHz. The sound transmission losses of 100-mm thick Hinoki wood bark particle mat with a target density of 0.16 at 500 and 1000 Hz were 15.30 and 15.73 dB, respectively. When a 10-mm thick plywood was attached to the back of the wood particle mat, the sound transmission losses was increased by 20-30 dB. Wood bark can be used as an acoustical material owing to its high sound absorption rate and transmission loss.
