디밍 기술을 이용한 안전지향 보도블록의 저 전력화 (Low Power of Safety Oriented Sidewalk Block using Dimming Technic)

  • 본 논문에서는 고휘도의 광원에 의한 눈부심 방지와 야간 교통사고예방을 위해 LED와 조도 센서를 이용한 디밍 기술을 사용하여 저 전력 안전지향 보도블록을 구현하였다. 본 논문의 디밍 시스템은 눈부심을 방지하기 위하여 눈에 피로도가 적은 전구색을 사용하였고, 6.10Wh 전력이 소모되었다. 또한, 기존 시스템과 비교하였을 때 약 56.9%의 전력이 절감되는 것을 확인하였다.

PDP용 투명전도막으로 사용되는 ITO 와 ZnO:Al 의 전기적.광학적 특성 비교 (Comparison of electrical and optical properties between ITO and ZnO:Al films used as transparent conducting films for PDP)

  • Tin doped indium oxide(ITO) and Al doped zinc oxide(ZnO:Al) films, which are widely used as a transparent conductor in optoelectronic devices such as solar cell, liquid crystal display, plasma display panel, thermal heater, and other sensors, were prepared by using the capacitively coupled DC magnetron sputtering method. The electrical and optical properties of both the ITO and ZnO:Al thin films were investigated as functions of substrate temperature, working gas pressure and deposition time. ITO and ZnO:Al films with the the present experimental conditions of temperature and pressure showed resistivity of $2.36{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}-cm,\;9.42{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}-cm$ and transmittance of 86.28%, 90.88% in the wavelength range of the visible spectrum, respectively.

  • Al doped Zinc Oxide(ZnO:Al) films, which is widely used as a transparent conductor in optoelectronic devices such as solar cell, liquid crystal display, plasma display panel, thermal heater, and other sensors, were prepared by using the capacitively coupled DC magnetron sputtering method. In this paper the effect of doping amounts of $Al_2O_3$ on the electrical, optical and morphological properties were investigated experimentally, The results show that the structural and electrical properties of the film are highly affected by the doping. The optimum growth conditions were obtained for films doped with 2 wt% of Al203 which exhibit a resistivity of $8.5{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}-cm$ associated with a transmittance of 91.7 % for 840 nm in film thickness in the wavelength range of the visible spectrum.

  • Transparent conductive Oxide (TCO) is an essential material in the various optoelectronic applications as a transparent electrode, such as solar cells, flat panel displays and organic light emitting diodes. Currently, Indium tin oxide (ITO) is commonly used in industry due to its low electrical resistivity, high transmittance and high adhesion to substrate. However, ITO is expensive and should be prepared at high temperature, which makes it hard to use ITO in flexible devices. In this regard, Ga-doped ZnO is expected as an ideal candidate for replacing ITO.

  • Charging of spacecraft occurs in plasma and radiation environment. Especially, we focused on an accident caused by internal charging in a glass material that was used as the cover plate of solar panel array, and tried to measure the charge distribution in glass materials under electron beam irradiation by using a PEA (Pulsed Electro-Acoustic method) system. In the case of a quartz glass (pure $SiO_2$), no charge accumulation was observed either during or after the electron beam irradiation. On the contrary, positive charge accumulation was observed in glass samples containing metal-oxide components. It is found that the polarity of the observed charges depends on the contents of the impurities. To identify which impurity dominates the polarity of the accumulated charge, we measured charge distributions in several glass materials containing various metal-oxide components and calculated the trap energy depths from the charge decay characteristics of all glass samples.

브이용 태양광 최대 전력 추적 알고리즘에 관한 연구 (A Study on the MPPT Algorithm for Buoy)

  • The maximum power point operation point(MPPOP) of photovoltaic(PV) power generation systems changes with varying atmospheric conditions such as temperature, solar radiation. For achieving a high efficiency in PV system, it is very important for PV system to track the MPPOP correctly according to operation condition. Although the MPPT(maximum power point tracking) algorithm which applied P&O(Perturbation & Observation) or IncCnd(Incremental Conductance) algorithm tracks the MPPOP efficiently, its efficiency drops noticeably in case that the incidence angle of PV panel on buoy changes rapidly. To solve this problem, this paper proposes maximum power point searching and tracking algorithm(MPPST). The proposed algorithm set the specific area and measures the PV voltage at the same interval. The proposed algorithm have been obtained high efficiency than P&O algorithm through ocean experiment.

유기막 위에 증착된 저온 ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) 박막의 식각특성

  • 투명전도막인 Ito(Indium Tin Oxide)는 flat panel display 와 solar cell 같은 optoelectronic 이나 microelectronic device에서 널리 이용되어 지고 있다. 현재 상용화되고 있는 거의 대부분의 ITO 박막은 sputtering법에 의해 제조되고 있으나 공정상의 이유로 15$0^{\circ}C$이상의 기판온도가 요구되어진다. 그런, 실제 display device 제조공정에서는 비정질 실리콘 박막이나 유기막 위에 ITO박막을 제작할 필요성이 증대되어 지고 있고, 또한 다른 전자소자에 있어서도 상온 ITO 박막 형성 공정에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 이러한 이유로 본 실험에서는 IBAE(Ion Beam Assisted Evsporation)을 이용하여 저온 ITO박막을 유기막 위에 증착하는 공정에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 이렇게 증착된 ITO 박막의 결정성은 비정질이었다. 또한, 모든 display device 제작에는 식각공정이 필수인데 기존에 사용되고 있는 wet etching 법은 등방성 식각특성 때문에 미세 pattern 형성에 부적합?, 따라서 비등방성 식각에 용이한 plasma etching법을 사용하여 저온 증착된 ITO 박막의 식각특성을 알아보았다. 실험에 사용된 식각장비는 자장 강화된 유도결합형 플라즈마 식각장비(MEICP)를 사용하였으며, 13.56MHz의 RF power를 사용하였다. 식각조건으로 source power는 600W~1000W, 기판 bias boltage는 -100V~-250V를 가하였으며, Ar, CH4, O2, H2, BCl3의 식각 gases, 5mTorr~30mTorr의 working pressure 변화 그리고 기판 온도에 따른 식각특성을 관찰하였다. ITO 가 증착된 기판으로는 유기물 중 투명전도성 박막에 기판으로서 사용가능성이 클 것으로 기대되어지는 PET(polyethylene-terephtalate), PC(polycarbonate), 아크릴을 사용하여 기판 변화가 식각특성에 미치는 영향에 대해서 각각 관찰하였다. 식각속도의 측정은 stylus profiler를 이용하여 측정하였으며 식각후에 표면상태는 scanning electron spectroscopy(SEM)을 이용하여 관찰하였다.

  • 센서 네트워크는 다양한 응용분야에 적용될 수 있다. 환경 센서와 무선 네트워크를 이용하여 환경정보를 수집하고 생태계를 감시하는 시스템은 대표적인 센서 네트워크 응용 시스템이다. 그러나 센서 노드의 제한된 배터리 용량은 네트워크와 시스템의 수명을 결정하는 핵심 요소이며, 수집되는 정보의 품질에도 영향을 미친다. 우리는 캠퍼스에 구축된 환경정보 시스템의 실험을 통해 환경 센서 노드의 수명에 영향을 미치는 요소를 식별하고 향후 센서 네트워크 응용 시스템 구축에 유용한 몇 가지 제안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) thin films are used as the Transparent Conducting Oxide (TCO), such as flat panel display, transparent electrodes, solar cell, touch screen, and various optical devices. ZnO has attracted attention as alternative materials to ITO film due to its resource availability, low cost, and good transmittance at the visible region. Recently, very thin film deposition is important. In order to minimize the damage caused by bending. However, ZnO thin film such as Ga-doped ZnO(GZO) has poor sheet resistance characteristics. To solve this problem, By adding the conductive metal on films can decrease the sheet resistance and increase the mobility of the films. In this study, We analyzed the electrical and optical characteristics of GZO/Ag/GZO (GAG) films by change in Ag and GZO thickness.

Development of Process and Equipment for Roll-to-Roll convergence printing technology

  • The process of manufacturing printed electronics using printing technology is attracting attention because its process cost is lower than that of the conventional semiconductor process. This technology, which offers both a lower cost and higher productivity, can be applied in the production of organic TFT (thin film transistor), solar cell, RFID(radio frequency identification) tag, printed battery, E-paper, touch screen panel, black matrix for LCD(liquid crystal display), flexible display, and so forth. In general, in order to implement printed electronics, narrow width and gap printing, registration of multi-layer printing by several printing units, and printing accuracy of under $20\;{\mu}m$ are all required. These electronic products require high precision to the degree of tens of microns - in a large area with flexible material, and mass productivity at low cost. As such, the roll-to-roll printing process is attracting attention as a mass production system for these printed electronic devices. For the commercialization of this process, two basic electronic ink technologies, such as conductive ink and polymers, and printing equipment have to be developed. Therefore, this paper addressed basis design and test to develop fine patterning equipment employing the roll-to-roll printing equipment and electronic ink.
