  • This study proposes a method to measure software reliability according to software reliability measurement model to measure software reliability. The model presented in this study uses the distribution of Non - Homogeneous Poisson Process and presents a measure of the software reliability of the presented model. As a method to select a suitable software reliability growth model according to the presented model, we have studied a method of proposing an appropriate software reliability function by calculating the mean square error according to the estimated value of the reliability function according to the software failure data. In this study, we propose a reliability function to measure the software quality and suggest a method to select the software reliability function from the viewpoint of minimizing the error of the estimation value by applying the failure data.

  • Since nuclear power plants (NPPs) increasingly employ digital I&C systems, reliability evaluation for NPP software has become crucial for NPP probabilistic risk assessment. Several methods for estimating software reliability have been proposed, but there is no available tool support for those methods. To support NPP software manufacturers, we propose a reliability measurement tool for NPP software. We designed our tool to provide reliability estimation depending on available qualitative and quantitative information that users can offer. We applied the proposed tool to an industrial reactor protection system to evaluate the functionality of this tool. This tool can considerably facilitate the reliability assessment of NPP software.

  • For this research, we developed the hardware and software of the measurement system for on-line test and evaluation. The software controls the hardware of the measurement data and acts as interface between users and the system hardware. In this paper, we is studied for temperature measurement of main transformer. In order to this test is developed measurement system. Using this system, we obtained important result for main transformer temperature.

  • This paper presents a framework for quantitative software development performance measurement and analysis based on characteristics of software in System on Chip (SoC) industry, one of the semiconductor businesses. In this paper, we propose a measurement model based on not only theoretical model (Performance Pyramid) but also characteristics of SoC embedded software. Quantitative software development performance measurement is not just collecting indicators but analyzing quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) of collected indicators. Externally, it is possible for programmers to develop software meeting customers' needs. Internally, more efficient software development can be possible through the visible productivity increase. Using the proposed framework, the paper quantitatively measures embedded software development performance.

  • In this research, we've studied to the software productivity and quality measures and metrics for raise UP the advanced software industry. For the purpose, we've studied relative research and reorganized 74 metrics. Reorganized 74 metrics were developed considering scalability, measurement and acquisition possibility and verified by software development experts. Finally, we've conducted a survey on the high measurement possibility metrics. Data were gathered from 20 software development project. It was found from the result need more efforts for the software development productivity improvement for advanced software industry.

  • In this paper, we propose a software quality measurement metrics of ISO / IEC 25023, which is newly proposed for software quality evaluation, to compare the difference with ISO / IEC 9126-2 which was used for software quality evaluation. In this paper, we propose a method for evaluating the quality of reliability based on the software reliability growth model among the eight quality characteristics presented in ISO / IEC 25023. Based on ISO / IEC 25023, software-quality evaluations demonstrate that there is some risk in evaluating reliability when based on data.

  • The certification of software products can provide a greater level of acceptance and feeling of security to customers of these products. This paper presents a certification method for the quality of package software. First of all, the evaluation criteria are derived from ISO/1EC 9126 and 12119 standards, and then the evaluation module are designed considering the measurement scale type. The results can be applied to construct the certification scheme of software product quality for the commercial purpose.

  • In the past it was generally felt that software quality was the same as product quality. But as the software industry is getting bigger and more complex, it has become hard to develop quality software that meets customers' needs just depending on product quality. Therefore, lately many domestic and foreign companies are making efforts to upgrade product quality by implementing Process Improvement. Measurement in Process Improvement activities enhances the effect of Process Improvement, and also identifies and helps the activities. In support of this paper, research on the measurement program was conducted based on the CMMI adopted by many domestic and foreign companies for their process improvement model. MA process area that deals with measurement process setup is one of the CMMI process areas and was the basis of the structure of the measurement program. This study presents differences of the measurement program for each level of CMMI and how to apply it. The results of this study can help a business to apply CMMI-based Process Improvement by backing up the structure of the measurement program. Furthermore, it can offer a roadmap for progress of the measurement program for each level.
