The software defects that are not found in the course of a project frequently appear during the conduct of the maintenance procedure after the complete development of the software. As the frequency of surfacing of defects during the maintenance procedure increases, the cost likewise increases, and the quality and customer reliability decreases. The defect rate will go down only if cause analysis and process improvement are constantly performed. This study embodies the defect tracking system (DTS) by considering the Pareto principle: that most defects are repetitions of defects that have previously occurred. Based on the records of previously occurring defects found during the conduct of a maintenance procedure, DTS tracks the causes of the software defects and provides the developer, operator, and maintenance engineer with the basic data for the improvement of the software concerned so that the defect will no longer be manifested or repeated. The basic function of DTS is to analyze the defect type, provide the measurement index for it, and aggregate the program defect type. Doing these will pave the way for the full correction of all the defects of a software as it will enable the defect correction team to check the measured defect type. When DTS was applied in the software configuration management system of the W company, around 65% of all its software defects were corrected.

A public address (PA) system installed in a building is a system that delivers alerts, announcements, instructions, etc. in an emergency or disaster situation. As for the products used in PA systems, with the development of information and communication technology, PA products with various functions have been introduced to the market. PA systems recently launched in the market may be connected through a single network to enable efficient management and operation, or use voice recognition technology to deliver quick information in case of an emergency. In addition, a system capable of locating a user inside a building using a location-based service and guiding or responding to a safe area in the event of an emergency is being launched on the market. However, the new PA systems currently on the market add some functions to the existing PA system configuration to make system operation more convenient, but they do not change the complex PA system configuration to reduce facility costs, maintenance, and management costs. In this paper, we propose a novel PA system configuration for buildings using audio networks and control hierarchy over peer-to-peer (Anchor) technology based on audio over IP (AoIP), which simplifies the complex PA system configuration and enables convenient operation and management. As a result of the study, through the emergency signal processing algorithm, fire broadcasting was made possible according to the detection of the existence of a fire signal in the Anchor system. In addition, the control device of the PA system was replaced with software to reduce the equipment installation cost, and the PA system configuration was simplified. In the future, it is expected that the PA system using Anchor technology will become the standard for PA facilities.
This paper proposes an integrated management system for products of game software development. Those products generated over software life-cycle are generally huge in numbers, various in kinds and interconnected in relationships among them. Especially they are highly complex and tightly coupled each other because they are used to build another world which is composed of multi-modal data such as graphics, sound, logics and so on. Therefore it is critical to manage development products in an integrated manner to guarantee the quality of software. The proposed system is designed to provide project/requirement/configuration/traceability management capabilities and interfacing to CASE standards. To achieve the objective, it is based on data warehouse technologies which provide central repositories of heterogeneous data, multi-aspect reporting&analysis capabilities, traceability, verification, etc.
The Configuration management process is to establish and maintain the integrity of all the work products of a process or project. This paper discusses the similarities and differences between ISO/IEC 12207 and ISO/IEC 15846. The most widely used models for software process assesment, ISO/IEC 15504, CMM and CMMI can rate maturity of processes. We analyze and compare the practices for measuring Configuration process and propose metric for quantitative measure.

Everything in the world is becoming connected and interactive due to the Internet. The future of interactive smart environments such as smart cities, smart industries, or smart farms demand high network bandwidth, high network flexibility, and self-organization systems without costly hardware upgrades, and they provide a sustainable, scalable, and replicable smart environment backbone infrastructure. This paper presents a new Hybrid Software-Defined architecture for integrating Internet-of-Things technologies that are essential technologies for smart environments. It combines a software-defined networking infrastructure and a real-time distributed network framework with an advanced optimization to enable self-configuration, self-management, and self-adaption for providing seamless communication and efficiently managing a vast number of smart heterogeneous devices.

In this paper, we propose system access control software that improves the survivability of the naval combat system while maintaining security and stability. The software was improved by improving the operating environment configuration and user authentication process of the system access control software that constitutes the naval combat system, defining the operating environment classification of the naval combat system, and applying a software parallel execution process considering the load rate. Through this, the waiting time required to configure the environment is shortened, providing rapid operation to the operator, and improving the fact that the naval combat system cannot be operated unless the environment configuration is completed even in emergency situations. In order to test the performance, a test environment was created by simulating the existing naval combat system, and the execution time for each operation category was measured and compared. Compared to the existing naval combat system, the execution time of the basic combat system was reduced by about 69.3%, the execution time of the combat system was reduced by about 54.9%, and the execution time of the integrated combat system was confirmed to be reduced by about 8.4%.

Recently, supply chain attacks against nuclear facilities such as "Evil PLC" are increasing due to the application of digital technology in nuclear power plants such as the APR1400 reactor. Nuclear supply chain security requires a asset management system that can systematically manage a large number of providers due to the nature of the industry. However, due to the nature of the control system, there is a problem of inconsistent management of attribute information due to the long lifecycle of software assets. In addition, due to the availability of the operational technology, the introduction of automated configuration management is insufficient, and limitations such as input errors exist. This study proposes a systematic asset management system using SBOM(Software Bill Of Materials) and an improvement for input errors using natural language processing techniques.
Construction of multi-site Cloud Infrastructure with OpenStack, the most popular cloud open source project with various ICT infrastructure technologies, has operational inefficiency due to installation complexity and geographical limitation. To address this inefficiency, we gradually developed automated installation/configuration tools to automate installation/configuration of Linux and OpenStack by complying with DevOps methodology over a multi-site OpenStack testbed called OF@KOREN SmartX Playground. However, the pre-developed installation tools can be used only for limited cases. Therefore, we designed and developed a prototype of SmartX Provisioning Framework which could conducts Playground-wide provisioning flexibly by following three steps of resource management in Software-defined Infrastructure. We verified the efficiency of the provisioning functionality of the framework by demonstrating an example of automated multi-site cloud construction.

The hyper-spectral image is data obtained by dividing the electromagnetic wave band in the infrared region into hundreds of wavelengths. It is used to find or classify objects in various fields. Recently, deep learning classification method has been attracting attention. In order to use hyper-spectral image data as deep learning training data, a processing technique is required compared to conventional visible light image data. To solve this problem, we developed a software that selects specific wavelength images from the hyper-spectral data cube and performs the ground truth task. We also developed software to manage data including environmental information. This paper describes the configuration and function of the software.
