This research is involved in looking into the cognition pattern of social worker position of a fourth-year student majoring in Social Welfare. The purpose of this research is to offer a basic data needed for education of the students who are preparing to get a job of a social worker. For this, applying Q methodology, this research made an objective analysis of their subjective response to social worker position targeting the 30 students in the department of social welfare at the four-year-course college located in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do. The research results showed that the cognition pattern of the college students' occupational view on social welfare position could be categorized into the three; The first pattern is a "job-skeptic & reality-evasive" type, who tends to perceive the position of a social worker as the one having a lot of job exhaustion and much workload, showing a pessimistic view on the meaning or a sense of mission of a social worker position. The second pattern is a "practice-centered & specialized-job-seeking type" who tends to think much of practical aspects of a social worker job and to seek after the position of a social worker as a specialized job, and at the same time to rely on the policy or system for a social worker position. The third pattern is a "value-oriented & self-achievement type", who tends to think much of the necessity of value or ethics in putting social welfare into practice and also to make much of self-achievement through the channel of a social welfare worker position. Taken together, it might be possibile to turn out professional human resources, but this research thinks it is more necessary to place the education of values of a social welfare worker.
This research attempts to analyze the effects of demographic factors, socioeconomic factors, health behaviors and social/familial supports on health inequalities among Korean elderly. For this end, this study adopts the multiple linear regression analysis to process data on population aged over 65 contained in 'The Third Korea Welfare Panel Study' published in 2008. The following are the results. First, the less educated they are, the smaller income they earn, the less they drink, the less satisfied with relationships with their family members, the more they turn out to feel depressed. Second, the less educated they are, the smaller income they earn, the less they drink, the less they are satisfied with relationship with family members, the more they benefit from social welfare services, the worse they turn out to rate their health. Based on these findings, three following suggestions could be forwarded. First, vulnerable aged groups including female elderly, low-income elderly, less-educated elderly need customized social supports. Second, new social policy for households is required to enhance elderly people's satisfaction with their family relationships with the rapid trend of a growing number of nuclear families and aging. Third, social welfare service programs need to be reevaluated to enhance their function for the aged.
This study aims to elaborate differences of demand and supply in welfare service delivery upon regions. For this purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 welfare bureaucrats from Dong offices among largest and smallest portions of recipients in Seoul. The results indicated that there were significant differences in the proportion of welfare bureaucrats versus welfare recipients (11-450 households) of the National Basic Livelihood Guarantee System, the amount of available private sector resources, and the difficulty of providing visitation counseling upon regions. Research implications were discussed further to address regional disparities of welfare services.
The issue presented in this paper are as follows: 1. Legislative actions of welfare-related law for the exceptional children. The legislative base for the evolution has been yet weak and ambigous at best for a formalization of what should be considered accepted practice and effective action in providing handicapped child and their parents educational rights and equal protection of the law. And they are under remote control of partial factor subject to social welfare law for children, and public law for education, promotion law for the exceptional child education, protection law for public aids. 2. Organization of government for the welfare services for the exceptional children. There is no sing of a push toward consolidation of effort for the welfare service of the exceptional children in this country that seeks to recapture a sense of unity, of coherence, of completeness from a reality made up of discontinuous fragments of humanitarian effora This presently that. as for the education of the exceptional child, by the section of the exceptional education in MOE (Ministry of Education), and/or as for welfare services and promotion actions, by the section of child welfare in MHSA (Ministry of Health and Social Affairs). One door type operation rooted in the specialization, and limited resources to evolve multi-purpose agencies that undertake to provide a broad range of tangible and concrete services, as well as supportive counselling and assessment, under a single management which plans and directs the allocations of resources, should be followed. 3. Facilities and recruitment of teachers for the exceptional children. In this country there are 54 facilities for special services, 56 schools for the exceptional education, and 3 colleges and equavalents that provide teacher training services leading to certification with IIO annual graduates. However, curriculum for exceptional children should be rearranged and reconstructed. Conclusion; Only as for social welfare institutions in community, this country produced a succession of specific purpose activities, over period of time, that accumulated to form the present network of hundreds of social welfare organizations and facilities Periodically major efforts were launched to revitalize or to improve the help-giving system. But they lack specialization to be effective, and the nature of multi-purpose center tends to be vague for the classified handicapped. Therefore, there, should be linkage between policy maker and community services to maintain some coherenty in preventive care, treatment, and after cares. At last, the effects of the current concept "the exceptional child" involved with their families, and their neighborhood should be considered in view of the people who consist about 25% of the total population.

The purpose of this study was to explore the implications of the integrated support through the 'health - medical - welfare' network and the specific context of the operation through the experiences of the users who participated in the 301 network project of Seoul northern municipal hospital. To do this, In-depth interviews were carried out with 10 research participants. The data was analyzed by general qualitative research methods. As a result of analysis, users lost their willingness because of living in a vicious cycle of poverty and illness before participating in 301 network services, but through the participation of the service, they were able to receive the integrated support of 'cure-care-life stability'. These experiences ultimately led to the regeneration of the will of their lives. At the basis of this experience were operating strategies and conditions such as the formation of a diverse professional team, the establishment of a linkage system within and outside the hospital, the establishment of a treatment linkage system through the acquisition of treatment subsidies, and the linkage of resources at mediation level. As the attempt to integrate 'health, medical and welfare' with well-coordinated strategies and conditions showed the possibility of complementing the limitation of the health welfare support system in Korea, the extension of the related business was suggested. For this, it suggested the more stable stabilization of the linkage system and the improvement of the institutional aspect.

The data were analysed through SPSS statistical program. It was used for the analysis method of Frequency analysis, T-test, ANOVA and Step wise regression. Analysis results are as follows: the family support and friend support of social coping resources is affecting in caring stress of mothers. Also, the mothers who is working are more caring stress than unemployed mothers and the mothers who is between 50age and 54age are more caring stress than the mothers of under 49 age. Based on these results, I proposed the idea of several programs for social work practice for community welfare centers based on the results.
Objectives: This study investigated Korean public's beliefs on helpfulness of various resources and preferred ways of addressing symptoms of mental health problems. Methods: A household survey was conducted on a stratified sample of adults aged between 18 and 74 (N=1,584). The participants were asked to provide their opinion on helpfulness of 39 resources for problems presented in the vignette, either depression(DEP) or schizophrenia(SPR). Descriptive statistics and factor analysis were conducted to summarize their opinion and to identify the underlying structure of beliefs about helpfulness of various resources. Results: Counselors/psychologists/social workers, family, psychiatrists, other therapists, and religious leaders were believed to be the most helpful. Methods that require one's initiatives marked percentages much higher than those of 'waiting to get better' or 'dealing with it alone'. The percentages for medications were lower than other methods in general, but higher than those of a western sample especially on antidepressants and anti-psychotics. Psycho/social approach was favored more for SPR than for DEP, and popular/cultural approach was favored much more for DEP than for SPR; physical/medical approach was strongly unfavored against DEP. Conclusion: Strategies need to be developed for utilizing various helpful resources to diversify modality of mental health services and facilitate referrals and gatekeeping. The differences in beliefs on helpfulness of various methods between DEP and SPR point to the need for problem-specific strategies.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of family resources on social exclusion and the resilience of low-income families. To be more specific, this study categorized the level of social exclusion into five dimensions: work, housing, health, education, and social participation. Further, family resources were categorized into the two dimensions of "internal resources of the family" and "external resources of the family" in order to evaluate the effects of the two differentiated dimensions on social exclusion and the resilience of low-income families. The data of low-income families for the period of August 23 to September 28, 2012, were collected from community welfare centers that manage individual development accounts and local self-sufficiency centers; 302 cases were considered. The main results of this study were as follows: firstly, the model analysis proved that family resources as a parameter was significant, not only statistically but also theoretically and practically. Secondly, while a negative relationship was found between social exclusion and family resources, a positive relationship was found between family resources and resilience. This implied that the alleviation of a low-income family's social exclusion level could become an important intervention for the improvement of the family's functioning and strengths. Further, it implied that the qualitative improvement of the family's resources that affected the promotion of the resilience could be a basis for another practical intervention. These results suggested crucial implications for the development of comprehensive policies for addressing poverty issues.
Using a method of Community-Based Research, Reconstructed action plaining for community change within the rural community is to mobilize and develop community resources, to develop and change community service delivery system, to communicate on community issues and advocacy. Research findings are as follows: Firstly, community outreach, its utility is finding some needy client within the lack of resources absolutely. Secondly, one is linking communities between a poor community and a wealthy community. Finally, one is building initiative social capital. The results suggest that social policy for rural community should built up service delivery system. It needs for local government to maintain community change by financial support. It has to link social welfare system and medical system.
The primary purpose of this study is to analyze the decreasing effect of public and private income transfers on poverty rate. Two year data of Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS, 1998, 1999) are used for the analysis, and 1/2 of median income and 1/3 of mean income are adopted to measure poverty rate. Although private income transfer contributes more to reduce the rate than the public transfer, the main effect for decreasing poverty rate is forced by the wage. Statistically significant variables that affect to the exit of poverty based on the logistic regression analysis are number of family members(-), wage(+), property income(+), social insurance benefit(+), and the transfer income(+). Therefore, the future policy should be more related with the active labor market policy for developing better human resources among the poor family.
