Problems related to information overload and harmful information have already expanded to national social problems as well as personal problems. This study explores the causes of Internet addiction, exposure to harmful information, malicious comments, fake information/information manipulation, and new alternatives that have recently been felt as social problems. Assuming that existing technologies/policies were not applied effectively, psychological cause analysis was performed for the fundamental problem approach. As a result, internal problems such as obsession with knowledge/understanding of wrong information/black and white stereotypes and prejudice were analyzed as main causes. Each proposed solution aims to help improve national technology/policy regarding internet addiction and blocking harmful information.
This study was conducted to examining the socio-cultural impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the world around 2020, and the transformation of norms and social problems due to COVID-19. For this, the characteristics of changes in the socio-cultural norms of the 14th century European Black Death, a representative example of the pandemic, were derived, and based on this, the COVID-19 pandemic was analyzed. The Black Death served as an opportunity to change social norms based on the existing religious authority and the power of the feudal system to the Enlightenment. The population declination and labor shortage also promoted commercialization and mechanization. Printing, which spread during this period, led to the popularization of knowledge, which raised the level of thinking and led to epochal scientific development. This became the foundation of the Industrial Revolution. Like the recent Black Death, COVID-19 has triggered changes in social norms. The technological environment of metaverse, a mixture of virtual and reality, has changed the norm of a consistent identity into free and open identities exerting various potentials through alternate characters. In addition, meme, which are about people being friendly to those with the same worldview as him on the metaverse, weakened the sense of isolation in non-face-to-face situations. Artificial intelligence (AI), which developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, has entered the stage of being used for creative activities beyond the function of assisting humans. Discussions were held on what new social problems would be created by the social norms changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Homelessness became a major social problem in Korea. And the homeless presents many kinds of problems in social functioning. In studies on the homeless, Physical and mental health, alcohol and subtance abuse, the vulnerability of the social support have been frequently described as major characteristics of the homeless. Of the homeless' psychosocial characteristics, this article focused on the lack of the social support, which plays a important role on the exit from homelessness. The lack of social support has been mentioned as cause for homelessness. But a few researchers stressed the perspective that the homelessness causes the lack of social support. This article analyzed empirically the lack of social support among the homeless in terms of "social disaffiliation". This article hypothesized: (a) as longer homeless duration, the extent of the perceived social support would be decreased, (b) as longer homeless duration, the magnitude of the social network would be decreased, (c) as longer homeless duration, the ratio of the homeless in social network would be increased. Survey data collected from 355 homeless persons (sheltered homeless) at 82 shelters in Seoul. The result of analysis supports 'social disaffiliation hypotheses'. The result of this study suggests that the social work intervention to strengthen social support and social network be critically important in homeless shelter.
It is recognized that one of the major issues in jail management is responding to the needs of a growing number of inmates with mental health problems. The purpose of this study was to assess the nature and severity of mental health problems among inmate population. The mental health status of 1,500 (1,337 responded) inmates of the 30 prisons located in nationwide area was examined using Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). And the scores on MMPI were examined in relation to some offender characteristics such as type of offence, treatment classification, frequence of discipline. The result indicates that the percentage of inmate population with scores over 70 on every sub-categories of the scale is higher than that of general populations reflecting high rate of deviation from average normal mental health. It seems likely that many of inmates are in need of specific mental health treatment services. The nature and severity of mental health problems varies depending on offender characteristics above mentioned. It is also notable that the inmates are heterogeneous in terms of mental health status, and that severe offences such as robbery, assault, and rape or sexual assault are highly related to the scores on 'antisocial' sub category. The study also reveals that there is a relation, if not causal, between mental health problem and frequency of discipline while in prison. Under basis of these findings, this study concludes that a number of inmates in our prison have mental health problems requiring mental health treatment services and suggests five key steps to effectively respond to the prevalence of mental health problems in prison at both the level of the clinical interventions and at the level of system structure and organization. Specially, the importance of collaborative service strategies of the correctional system with mental health systems are underlined.
In Korea nearly all the subjects teach environmental education in the secondary school. In addition we have a separate environmental education subject (environmental subject). This could be a very strong point in the Korean environmental education. The environmental subject and the other subjects, however, overlap in teaching materials and methods in almost all aspects. Because of this, the environmental subject has not done its job effectively, and is sometimes considered as an unnecessary surplus. To effectively play its own role in environmental education, the subject should focus on environmental issues rather than on contamination, which it is focusing on now. The contamination-focused environmental subject simply teaches nearly the same contents that the other subjects teach. In addition, it makes students visit actual sites related to pollution in order to encourage them to be aware of the severity of pollution. However, it has difficulty in teaching how environmental problems occur in a society and how the social decisions are made to resolve the problems. To overcome this difficulty the environmental subject should employ discussion classes more substantially, which let students investigate social aspects as well as scientific aspects of environmental problems and make integrated decisions through interdisciplinary approaches, to make students understand social mechanisms of environmental problems. The subject should focus on teaching what factors influence producers' and consumers' behavior and what factors they should consider when they have to make decisions on environmental issues. It should leave teaching technical knowledge and skill to the other subjects, and train students by the integrated approach which makes them see technology through a sociologist's eye. Although such integrated approach is emphasized in the environmental subject, environmental teachers should be trained to understand technological knowledge and skill in profound depth.

In overcoming stress from stepfamily life and adapting to it, 4 categories were identified as important. Contents of 4 categories were such like this: (1) Stepmother's own efforts - (a) give a positive meaning to marriage or remarriage (b) flexible personality (c) situation-accepting attitude (d) exclusive management of household income (e) job (f) perseverance for time to adaptation; (2) Positive feedback within stepfamily - (a) supportive husband (b) sense of unity as a couple (c) psychological reward from stepchildren (d) existence of stepmother's own child (e) behavior for family solidarity (f) family-centered religious life; (3) Stepfamily's relationship with former spouses such as breakdown in relationship with ex-wives or ex-husbands; (4) Support from stepmothers' kin and people in social network with stepmothers. It was concluded that to reduce stress and to help adapt to stepfamily, stepmother should make an effort, and that her stepfamily and her kin should cooperate and support. In addition, negative stereotype of stepmother and stepfamily should disappeared. It was suggested that studies on stepfamily should be vitalized and that programs for preparing remarriage and counseling for stepfamily should be spread.

Korean Youth are facing diverse problems. For-instance Korean youth are even called '7 given-up generation' which indicates that they gave up marriage, giving birth, social relationship, housing, dream and the hope. This Study has two research interests: First, to give a new perspective in searching for the identifying features of social welfare studies in Korea where social welfare is recognized as an independent discipline through an examination of german research trends in social policy, where social policy is not recognized as an independent discipline, but as a field of study. The reasons of non-recognition of social policy studies as an independent discipline in Germany are value problems, vagueness of research objects, and the position of social welfare in relation to another social sciences. Second, to show the trends of german studies in social policy from diverse disciplines, i. e. sociology, political science, law, history, pedagogics etc. and the common points in these studies. The results of this study are as follows. First, the common feature of german Studies on the social policy from diverse disciplins is above all the interest in the improvement of Lebenslage, i. e. conditions of life. Second, the value problems in social sciences are not solved till now, but the interests in the improvement of Lebenslage don't mean studies of social policy must handle with values. The interests in the applicability of social policy don't mean values must be improved in the studies either. Third, the vagueness of the objects can be found also in other social sciences and is not unique in social policy studies. Fourth, the studies, which focuses on the improvement of Lebenslage and can contribute to construct theories such as raising the effectiveness of state intervention must be recognized as studies of social policy, even though they are written by social scientists from other disciplines. This means the theories of social policy to pursue are connected with theories of middle range, i. e. with lower degree of abstraction.
We had our share of success in the dental industry in 2009, but we also had our bits of problems. I regret that our still unsolved bits of problems were some of the more important issues in dentistry. We have tried our best with passion, but we faced many limitations. I hope in expectation, that we analyze these problems so that we may overcome them. I hope that the Korean Dental Association be equipped with valid evidence in decision making procedures corresponding to social justice, heighten our dentists pride by respecting the law and fulfill our duty as national oral health caretakers. The Korean Dental Association claims the goal as ${\AE}$Your Dentist, World Best, World Best Dentist with the people$^{\circ}\phi$ and the association should establish related policies and should be able to execute them. Also the association should be able to manage and execute the duties presented in the association regulations, thus, the importance of duty division according to profession must be emphasized.
