Objective The pathophysiology of social anxiety disorder (SAD) is not yet well understood, but previous research has suggested that oxytocin is associated with social behavior and may play a role in human anxiety states and anxiety-related traits. The aim of this study was to investigate the possible relationship between social anxiety symptoms and plasma oxytocin levels. Methods Twenty-three male patients with SAD and 28 healthy male controls participated in this study. All participants were assessed using the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI) and the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS). Multivariate regression analysis was performed to identify associations between plasma oxytocin levels and SAD. Results In multiple regression models, after controlling for age and years of education, we found that higher oxytocin levels were significantly associated with higher total LSAS scores ($R^2=0.157$, coefficient=0.145, 95% CI=-0.0005-0.291, p=0.051) and fear subscale scores ($R^2=0.134$, coefficient=0.083, 95% CI=0.007-0.159, p=0.034) in the SAD group. Conclusion In this study, increased plasma oxytocin levels were associated with higher social anxiety symptoms among SAD patients, but not among controls. This might be because among SAD patients, higher oxytocin (OT) secretion is an insufficient compensatory attempt to reduce social anxiety symptoms.

Entering the 21st century, countries throughout the world are turning the direction of their education to be consumer-oriented and reinforcing lifelong education in preparation for the rapid advance of science and technology and the globalization, opening and informatization of the world. With the reinforcement of consumer-oriented education and lifelong education, the role of school is emphasized as a ground for lifelong education in community and efforts are being made to use schools and community facilities compositely so that schools may play the role of central facilities in community. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to analyze the relation between lifelong education and school facilities in the educational aspect, and to suggest a basic architectural direction so that schools may play central roles for social, cultural, educational, welfare, and sport activities in community.

The purpose of this study is to investigate some related factors which influence the well-being of the family life among the rural housewives, based on the satisfaction of the leisure. Questionnaires were distributed to the 200 housewives residing in Anseong. The 187 data obtained were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, F-test, Duncan’s multiple range test and correlation. The major findings of this study were summarized as follows. (1) There were significant differences on the satisfaction of sports leisure, culture center leisure and music and play leisure among the rural housewives according to the social demographic variables. (2) There were significant differences on the family life well-being among the rural housewives according to the satisfaction of sports leisure, the satisfaction of music and play leisure, the satisfaction of culture center leisure, the occupation of premarriage and the number of family members. Based on the above findings, it has been found that the satisfaction of leisure remains important factors to guide according to the radical changes. If greater attentions should be directed to the satisfaction of leisure activities, the quality of family life could be improved and stabilized.

Objective : This study was to investigate the effect of oriental medical treatment for Asperger's syndrome. Methods : This patient was lack of social communication, interaction, imagination and motor coordination. It was due to Asperger's syndrome. The patient was treated with Herbal medicine, acupuncture and play therapy. And we evaluated the case with The Australian scale for Asperger's syndrome. Results : Oriental medical treatment and play thrapy alleviated his symptoms of Asperger's syndrome and anxiety. Conclusions : We report the good result of oriental medical treatment on this case. The more study of oriental medical treatment for Asperger's syndrome is needed.

There is an increased interest in having beauty regardless of ages and sex with improvement of the national income level and increase in social activities. Competition within the beauty service industry is increasing rapidly because of global impact within Korea wave. Thus, active public relations and offering distinguished service in the beauty service industry are important. Also, uniforms play an important role in providing an image differentiated from other brands and presents professionalism to the customer. Therefore, we determined function and design of uniforms required in beauty service industry by researching wearing realities, satisfaction, preferred designs and functions of uniforms from hair shop staff. Functional and aesthetic uniforms play an important role to enhance the staffs' sense of belonging. In addition, it is good for the image of hair shop. Special design mirroring job characteristics with expression of differentiated personalities is needed. However, the research was conducted only in the hair shop in Seoul, Daejeon, and Gyeonggi-do. Further studies on much wider areas will be needed.

This paper investigates whether white-collar masculinity can play a role in the life of a far-right activist. The current study employs the methods of psychosocial analysis devised by Wendy Hollway and Tony Jefferson. Using the case of a Japanese far-right activist, it explores how the hegemony and decline of "salaryman masculinity" in Japan interacted with his life. It draws attention to the suffering of white-collar men in their struggle to comply with hegemonic masculinity. These men's suffering tends to be overlooked due to their stable socio-economic status, but it can potentially play a role in their investment in far-right discourse.

This study explored the moderating effects of self control and social support in terms of the relationship between stress and problem behaviors of children of divorced single parent families according to gender. A questionnaire was administered to elementary school-aged children (grades 3-6). 266 children from divorced single parent families were surveyed. The major findings were as follows : first, self control had a moderating role to play in the relationship between stress and problem behaviors for girls. Second, social support also had a moderating effect in the relationship between stress and problem behaviors for boys. Third, the variables having a moderating effect in the relationship between stress and problem behaviors of children also differed according to gender. Therefore differences in gender should be considered when seeking moderating the relationship between stress and problem behaviors of children.

The purpose of this study is to investigate social relationship and housework implementing of the elderly households in Chungbuk and to provide suggestion s from the perspective for the well-being of the elderly. The data of this study are collected through questionaire and the data of 244 respodents are analyzed using Frequency Contingency analysis one-way ANOVA. The results are as follows: firstly most elderly tend to have a close relationship with their neighbors in their houses. The activity of social relationship is routine behavior and the satisfaction of social relationship with their neighbors is high, The older the age the lower the education level and the poorer in physical health the more frequently they meet their neighbors and friends the more frequently they go to establishments for elderly and tend to play games such as a flower cards game. Secondly the average time implementing housework by elderly women is about 3.63 hours. The attitude toward housework is a l ttle negative. The average housework eqipments owned by them are 4.8 The older the poorer in physical health the lower level of owning housework equipments the shorter is the time implementing housework and the more negative is the attitude toward housework.

Recently a large number of people have been using social networking and microblogging services such as Facebook and Twitter. These mediums play a pivotal communication channel in a business-to-customer (B2C) relationship. Given its importance in today's business, companies have invested in the strategic application of social network services to reach out to customers. This study provides a blueprint for mechanisms for successful execution of social network services in the context of developing an effective B2C relationship, such as customer participation behavior. The S-O-R(Stimulus-Organism-Response) framework lays out the foundation for developing our research model and provides a structured view for understanding customer participation behavior on brand loyalty. For the methodology, this study employed a mixed-method approach. Additionally, in order to provide empirical evidences, a total of 121 respondents have completed the survey. All the data were compiled and analyzed through structural equation modeling and were implemented in partial least square (PLS). To sum up, this study presented theoretical and practical implications by providing the effect of customer participation behavior on brand loyalty through B2C microblogging.

The purpose of this study was to examine children's emotional and behavioral problems using parent and teacher ratings. The study also explored how children's individual factors were associated with their problems. The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire Korean version (SDQ-Kr) was completed by parents and teachers of 157 elementary school students. Parents reported perceptions of their child's social skills. Children completed the measure of self-esteem. The results showed that moderate to strong correlations were found between parents and teachers, revealing a stronger correlation in regard to hyperactivity than to emotional problems. Self-esteem and social skill were associated with emotional and behavioral problems in children classified by socio-emotional developmental level. Integrating information from parents and teachers can provide a more complete portrait of a child's adjustment and can better identify a child's problems. These findings highlight that self-esteem and social skill may play critical roles in intervening on children's emotional and behavioral problems.
