The Effects of Neck Exercise Program for Smart Phone-Addicts with Forward Head Posture on Cervical Alignment and Balance Ability (전방두부자세를 가진 스마트폰중독자를 위한 경부운동 프로그램이 경부정렬과 신체균형에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose : This research was carried out to find how neck exercise program combined with self stretching and muscle strengthening program influences on smart phone addicts with forward head posture. Methods : The subjects of this study were 20 smart phone-addicts with forward head posture and we divided them into 2 groups. The experimental group(10 people) participated in neck exercise program as a intervention for 3 months and the control group(the other 10 people) didn't participate in neck exercise program. Neck exercise program were composed of self stretching and muscle strengthening program. Then we measured cervical alignment with GPS(Global Posture System) and evaluated balance ability with Balance Master ver 7.0 systems. Results : The result were as follows. 1. After the intervention, experimental group were significantly more closed to normal cervical alignment than control group. 2. After the intervention, experimental group increased in dynamic balance ability a little more than control group. Conclusion : Neck exercise program seems to get cervical alignment better and improve balance ability.

Effects of Self-Control, Parent-Adolescent Communication, and School Life Satisfaction on Smart-phone Addiction for Middle School Students (중학생의 자기통제, 부모-자녀 간의 의사소통 및 학교생활만족도가 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to examine (the) effects of self-control, parent-adolescent communication, and school life satisfaction on smart-phone addiction for middle school students. The 127 students who were classified as smart-phone addicts among first to third grade at two middle schools located in Gyunggido were sampled with a survey. T-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis were used. The results of study were as follows. First, smart-phone addiction make no difference according to adolescent's sex and grade. Second, the relations between smart-phone addiction and the factors included self-control, parent-adolescent communication, and school life satisfaction were negatively correlated. As a result, the higher self-control, parent-adolescent communication, and school life satisfaction were, the lower smart -phone addiction was. Third, it is significant as variable that adverse effect, low rank class of parent-adolescent communication and personal relationship, same class as the former of school life satisfaction exert influence on smart phone addiction.

A Study on the Internet and Smart-Phone Addiction Diagnosis's Comparison through internet usage pattern of College Students (대학생의 인터넷 이용패턴을 통한 인터넷과 스마트폰 중독진단에 관한 비교연구)

  • Smartphone addiction and internet addiction cause a serious negative social problem due to the spread of the new media which is combined with the ubiquitous function. To evaluate the degree of Internet addiction and smartphone addiction of college students in the nearby areas, K-scale of internet addiction self-diagnosis scale and S-scale of smartphone addiction self-diagnosis scale for Korean adults were applied. This study aims to develop the survey questions, which get the basic internet patterns and access the web site, and to find the hidden addicts that is not found by general K-scale and S-scale using computers and smartphones. The result shows that a method of addiction diagnosis using the tolerance degree which is calculated by smart phone's internet main activities and using time(anticipated and real time) apart from K-scale and S-scale. So hidden internet and smartphone addicts could be found through the SPSS statistical analysis program.

Phenomenological Analysis on Causes of Addiction in Smartphone Addiction Adolescents (스마트폰 중독 청소년의 중독원인에 대한 현상학적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to deeply understand the causes of addiction of the addicted adolescents of smartphone. Colaizzi's phenomenological study method was applied to analyze the causes of the addiction caused by the addicts'. The results of the study were confirmed 63 constructive meanings in the meaningful data expressed in the participants' experiences, Based on them, they were derived as 26 subjects, 8 subject groups and 2 categories. The causes of addiction were 'Personal psychological factor', 'Behavior habit factor', 'Social relation factor' and 'Internet smart phone factor'. Psychological, physical, interpersonal and everyday life changes were the results accompanied by causes of addiction. Through this study, the causes of addiction revealed in the participants' experiences are expected to be applied to the client-centered therapy of the smartphone addiction counseling process.
