Communication Interoperability of Electric Uehicle Charging Infrastructure and Grid Network (전기차 충전 인프라와 전력망 간의 통신 상호운용성 연구)

  • ISO/IEC 15118 is a standard for communications and services for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Although this standard deals only with data communication between an electric vehicle and a charge station, communication with the outside is essential for establishing an authentication system for vehicle certification and V2G service for electric power transmission. In this study, it was designed to verify the information of electric car charging infrastructure in electric power system through communication link between ISO/IEC 15118 electric vehicle model and IEC 61850 standard MMS protocol. This is demonstrated in the field so that the electric vehicle communication data is linked with the micro grid management system. This could be used as an element technology in other distributed power sources as well as electric cars in the future.

A Study on the Image DB Construction for the Multi-function Front Looking Camera System Development (다기능 전방 카메라 개발을 위한 영상 DB 구축 방법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper addresses the effective and quantitative image DB construction for the development of front looking camera systems. The automotive industry has expanded the capability of front camera solutions that will help ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance System) applications targeting Euro NCAP function requirements. These safety functions include AEB(Autonomous Emergency Braking), TSR(Traffic Signal Recognition), LDW(Lane Departure Warning) and FCW(Forward Collision Warning). In order to guarantee real road safety performance, the driving image DB logged under various real road conditions should be used to train core object classifiers and verify the function performance of the camera system. However, the driving image DB would entail an invalid and time consuming task without proper guidelines. The standard working procedures and design factors required for each step to build an effective image DB for reliable automotive front looking camera systems are proposed.

  • 본 논문은 스마트 팩토리의 중요 요소인 무인반송차(AGV)를 자율 주행시키기 위해 오픈 소스 자율 주행차 시뮬레이터인 udacity를 이용해 머신 러닝시키는 시스템을 개발하였다. 공장의 운행 루트를 자율주행 시뮬레이터의 전경으로 가공하고, 3개의 카메라를 부착시킨 AGV를 운행시키면서 머신 러닝시킨다. AGV를 주행하여 얻어진 여러 학습 데이터를 통해 도출된 결과들을 각각 비교하여 우수한 모델을 선정하고 운행시킨 결과 AGV가 정해진 운행 루트를 정확하게 주행하는 것을 확인하였다. 이를 통해, 가상 운행 환경에서 저비용으로 AGV 운행 학습이 가능하다는 것을 보였다.

  • 자동차 키의 발전이 커지면서 만드는데 있어 드는 비용이 점차 증가하고 있다. 그럼으로써 자동차 키를 분실 시 따른 개인적인 비용 손실이 증가하고 있다. 자동차 키의 분실을 방지하고자 자동차 키에 BLE 4.0의 동글을 부착하며 BLE 4.0의 RSSI을 활용한 위치 기반 서비스 시스템을 이요하고 자동차 키의 실시간 위치 확인 가능하도록 하며 우리의 눈을 통해 더 정확히 위치를 파악할 수 있도록 소리/진동 알림과 LED를 동글에 부착하여 시스템을 구축하였다.

A drive-by inspection system via vehicle moving force identification

  • This paper presents a novel method to carry out monitoring of transport infrastructure such as pavements and bridges through the analysis of vehicle accelerations. An algorithm is developed for the identification of dynamic vehicle-bridge interaction forces using the vehicle response. Moving force identification theory is applied to a vehicle model in order to identify these dynamic forces between the vehicle and the road and/or bridge. A coupled half-car vehicle-bridge interaction model is used in theoretical simulations to test the effectiveness of the approach in identifying the forces. The potential of the method to identify the global bending stiffness of the bridge and to predict the pavement roughness is presented. The method is tested for a range of bridge spans using theoretical simulations and the influences of road roughness and signal noise on the accuracy of the results are investigated.

  • 최근 스마트 카가 발전하면서 물리적 키에서 스마트 키로 차량용 키도 변화하고 있다. 이에 따라 스마트 키에 대한 해킹 위협도 증가하고 있으며 스마트 키의 보안은 점점 중요해지고 있다. 기존의 스마트키는 자동차 시스템이 부팅 된 후에 데이터 값을 비교하는 방식으로 사용자 인증을 진행한다. 이러한 방식은 시스템이 이미 부팅된 상태이므로 여전히 해킹의 위협이 존재한다는 점에서 안전하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 이를 개선하기 위해 Python 코드 분리 기술과 APK 바이트 코드 분리 기술을 자동차 부팅 코드와 엔진 APK의 바이트 코드에 적용하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안 기술이 적용되지 않은 APK와 적용된 APK를 리패징하여 해킹에 대한 본 연구의 안정성을 검증하였다.

  • 스마트카는 IT기술과 자동차가 융합된 시스템으로 다양한 서비스 분야에서 연구 중이며 안전하고 편리하게 이용하기 위해서 보안적인 측면이 강화되어야 한다. 스마트카 환경 하에서 무선 통신 보안은 반드시 이루어져야 하며 이를 위해 최근 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CAN 통신과 같이 스마트카 인프라에서 쓰이는 통신 프로토콜을 알아보고 국내와 해외의 보안 취약점 사례를 비교/분석을 통해 스마트카 보안 기술이 가져야 할 조건과 취약점 대응방안에 대해 살펴본다.

A Development of Semantic Connected Service between Vehicles and Things for IoV (차량 인터넷 기술을 위한 시맨틱 차량-사물 연결 서비스 구현)

  • The recent efforts in academia and industry represent a paradigm shift that will extend the IoT from the home environment so that it is interoperable with the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). IoV is a special kind of IoT. It allows to connect between vehicle and things located in infrastructure. Furthermore, IoV enable to create new intelligent services through collaboration with existing various services such as smart city and connected home. In this paper, we develop a service in order to realize IoV. To this end, we design a novel vehicle service platform which could automatical controlling the IoT device according to drivers' voice. To show practical usability of our proposed platform, we develop a prototype service could be call car-to-thing (C2T). We expect that our proposed platform could eventually contribute to realizing IoV.

Tunnel lane-positioning system for autonomous driving cars using LED chromaticity and fuzzy logic system

  • Currently, studies on autonomous driving are being actively conducted. Vehicle positioning techniques are very important in the autonomous driving area. Currently, the global positioning system (GPS) is the most widely used technology for vehicle positioning. Although technologies such as the inertial navigation system and vision are used in combination with GPS to enhance precision, there is a limitation in measuring the lane and position in shaded areas of GPS, like tunnels. To solve such problems, this paper presents the use of LED lighting for position estimation in GPS shadow areas. This paper presents simulations in the environment of three-lane tunnels with LEDs of different color temperatures, and the results show that position estimation is possible by the analyzing chromaticity of LED lights. To improve the precision of positioning, a fuzzy logic system is added to the location function in the literature [1]. The experimental results showed that the average error was 0.0619 cm, and verify that the performance of developed position estimation system is viable compared with previous works.

  • A multi-band, compact, and complex vehicle roof antenna has become important in terms of car exterior design and multi-functions which include Radio, DAB/DMB, SXM, GNSS, Telematics, and V2X. In this paper, we propose a compact multi-band V2X pole-type roof antenna. Using impedance change characteristic, a single pole antenna which has multiband such as radio, DAB/DMB, telematics, and V2X band is proposed. With two patch antennas for GNSS and SXM, the dimension of a multiband roof antenna is 131x63x37mm only.
