The evaluation of effectiveness of 3DCA using vacuum bag(Vac-Lock) for patient immobilization device (3DCA제작을 통한 Vac-Lock 사용시 효율성향상에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose : Patient immobilization is crucial factor for radiation therapy. Generally, we have been used vacuum bag immobilization device(Vac-Lock) for whole body immobilization. In order to easily set up of vacuum bag(Vac-Lock), we made a 3DCA(3-Dimensional Conformal Accessary). The purpose of this study is evaluation of effectiveness of 3DCA using Vack-Lock for patient immobilization. Materials and Methods : We made 3DCA(3-Dimensional Conformal Accessary) tool of wooden boards. The reasons to choice of wooden boards are its easily handling nature and cheap expenses. Results : (1) We reduced man power from $5{\sim}6$persons to 1person to make immobilizations, (2) Shortened work time from 1hour to within 10minutes. (3) Avoid a collision to treatment gantry head. (4) Its shapes are smart and clean. Conclusion : We have made and used 3DCA(3-Dimensional Conformal Accessary) tool was very effective and convenience for the patients and users.

In-line Monitoring of Fluid-Bed Blending Process for Pharmaceutical Powders using Fiber Optics Probe and NIR Spectroscopy (광섬유-탐침과 근적외선(NIR) 분광기를 이용한 약제분말 유동층 혼합공정의 인라인 모니터링 연구)

  • Since the quality of final products is significantly affected by the homogeneity of powder mixture, the powder blending process has been regarded as one of the critical pharmaceutical unit processes, especially for solid dosage forms. Accordingly, the monitoring to determine a blending process' end-point based on a faster and more accurate in-line/on-line analysis has attracted enormous attentions recently. Among various analytical tools, NIR (near-infrared) spectroscopy has been extensively studied for PAT (process analytical technology) system due to its many advantages. In this study, NIR spectroscopy was employed with an optical fiber probe for the in-line monitoring of fluid-bed blending process. The position of the probe, the ratio of binary powder mixture, the powder size differential and the back-flush period of the shaking bag were examined as principal process parameters. During the blending process of lactose and mannitol powders, NIR spectra were collected, corrected, calibrated and analyzed using MSC and PLS method, respectively. The probe position was optimized. A reasonable end-point was predicted as 1,500 seconds based on 5% RSD value. As a consequence, it was demonstrated that the blending process using a fluid-bed processor has several advantages over other methods, and the application of NIRS with an optical fiber probe as PAT system for a fluid-bed blending process could be high feasible.

Using the fusion of spatial and temporal features for malicious video classification (공간과 시간적 특징 융합 기반 유해 비디오 분류에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, malicious video classification and filtering techniques are of practical interest as ones can easily access to malicious multimedia contents through the Internet, IPTV, online social network, and etc. Considerable research efforts have been made to developing malicious video classification and filtering systems. However, the malicious video classification and filtering is not still being from mature in terms of reliable classification/filtering performance. In particular, the most of conventional approaches have been limited to using only the spatial features (such as a ratio of skin regions and bag of visual words) for the purpose of malicious image classification. Hence, previous approaches have been restricted to achieving acceptable classification and filtering performance. In order to overcome the aforementioned limitation, we propose new malicious video classification framework that takes advantage of using both the spatial and temporal features that are readily extracted from a sequence of video frames. In particular, we develop the effective temporal features based on the motion periodicity feature and temporal correlation. In addition, to exploit the best data fusion approach aiming to combine the spatial and temporal features, the representative data fusion approaches are applied to the proposed framework. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our method, we collect 200 sexual intercourse videos and 200 non-sexual intercourse videos. Experimental results show that the proposed method increases 3.75% (from 92.25% to 96%) for classification of sexual intercourse video in terms of accuracy. Further, based on our experimental results, feature-level fusion approach (for fusing spatial and temporal features) is found to achieve the best classification accuracy.

An Estimating Algorithm of Vehicle Collision Speed Through Images of Blackbox (블랙박스 영상 분석을 통한 차량 충돌 속도 연산 알고리즘에 대한 융복합 연구)

  • The vehicle collision speed in mid and high range can be checked by EDM(Event Driven memory) data recorded when the air bag works. But it's difficult to estimate the low speed of vehicle collision. And estimating the speed is important because the injury level can be changed by the impact speed. The study proposed an estimating algorithm by analysing the images recorded in car blackbox instrument. Low speed rear collision accidents simulated with wire winding motor for various vehicle types. The study estimated the impact speed with the ratio of the distance change between two vehicles and the length change of the number plate of front vehicle. The closer the vehicles are, the larger the plate length is. You can estimate the impact speed with the ratio. The impact speed is calculated with the initial distance for a specific length of number plate in the algorithm. The results can be applied to the linear rear collision because the angle of impact was not considered in this study.

  • Timing, place, and the high-tech industry to overcome barriers to the introduct of the so-called "smart agriculture". The core factors of precision agriculture, including temperature, humidity, location information, and real summary information, are all significant for ICT controlling technique. The system is a four-season container allowing mushroom product, humidity, illumination, and factors such as carbon dioxide were regulated to create the optimal environment for mushroom cultivation. Hericium erinaceum (also called Lion's Mane Mushroom, Bearded Tooth Mushroom, or Bearded Tooth Fungus) is an edible and medicinal mushroom in the tooth fungus group. During approximately 40 days of incubation, 1.4 kg of oak sawdust was used as the test medium. The humidity, temperature, and $CO_2$ density were maintained at >85-95%, $18-20^{\circ}C$, and 700-1,000 ppm, respectively, in the container type culture system. The time for primordium formation was observed to be 4-7 days. The amount of fruitbody production was 74-95 g per bag. This technique will be used to establish a new community support program, in conjunction with international movement, domestic sales and exports are also planned.
