  • 일반적으로 PMDC모터에 사용되는 자석은 가격과 재질에 따라서 여러 가지로 분류할 수 있다. 그러나 착자방법에는 등방향과 방사형 착자로 나눌 수 있고 용도에 따라서 다극으로 착자할 수 있다. 하지만 그 기본적인 구조에는 원통형, 판형, 육면체형으로 분류할 수 있는데 구형, 반구형 또는 구형 shell에 관한한 아직까지 소개된 문헌이 빈약하다. 본 논문에서는 슬롯리스 구형직류모터에 사용될 반구형 shell형태의 영구자석의 착자기 구조와 착자방법에 대한 가능성을 찾아보고 이론적으로 증명하고자 한다.

  • An electrical machine for a high-speed flywheel for energy storage in large hybrid electric vehicles is described. Design choices for the machine are motivated: it is a radial-flux external-rotor permanent-magnet synchronous machine without slots in the stator iron and with a shielding cylinder. An analytical model of the machine is briefly introduced whereafter optimization of the machine is discussed. Three optimization criteria were chosen: (1) torque; (2) total stator losses and (3) induced eddy current loss on the rotor. The influence of the following optimization variables on these criteria is investigated: (1) permanent-magnet array; (2) winding distribution and (3) machine geometry. The paper shows that an analytical model of the machine is very useful in optimization.

  • Axial Flux Permanent Magnet motor could widely be used for low speed and high torque applications. In this paper, to analyse the sensor positioning effect of AFPM motor which has a new concentric winding method and to calibrate the switching timing according to speed, prototype motor is manufactured. As a result of experiment, advance angle from 30 degree to 45 degree of sensor position is more proper. So, this results can be used for design of sensor position to improve characteristic of the dual gap AFPM with coreless and slotless.

  • Vibration, giving rise to acoustical noise, is an important index of motor performance. The unbalance force due to rotor eccentricity caused by manufacturing imprecision or bearing defects is one possible source of excitation to vibration. With the advent of new high-energy magnetic material together with high precision motor applications, magnetic sources of vibration are becoming more serious. This paper introduces two types of high-speed slotless permanent magnet (PM) machine for electro-mechanical battery and investigates unbalance force due to static eccentricity with finite element method.

  • This paper is dealing with the slotless AFPM(Axial Flux Permanent Magnet) Brushless Motor. It has been reported that AFPM brushless DC motor have high efficiency and high energy density than radial flux permanent brushless DC motor. AFPM brushless DC motor finds its application of electric vehicles. In this paper, small AFPM brushless DC motor was designed using the ferrite permanent magnet. For this design, magnet of rotor, stator dimension and stator winding parameters has been studied and prototype AFPM motor has been assembled and motor speed, torque and efficiency are investigated.

  • Bearingless motors are the rotational electric machine which utilize a common magnetic structure for rotation and magnetic suspension. Since the bearing function is combined with the motor, the shaft length can be shortened resulting in higher critical speeds. Relationship between suspension force and current of bearingless motor is clearly derived by prior research. However, relationship between displacement of rotor and suspension force is not precisely defined. In this paper, we present model of bearingless motor describing the radial force variation due to the movement of the rotor. Using a distributed magnetic circuit and maxwell stress tensor, we derived a mathematical expression for the radial force. For a slotless bearingless motor, we are able to find an analytical model presented in the form of stiffness. For a slotted motor, we can compute the stiffness by semi-analytical analysis. This model is validated by a finite-element-analysis.

  • The Slotless Permanet-magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSM) have been developed for factory automation, transportation applications, wafer steppers, conveyance system, and so on[1]. The current analysis and design are treated in air-cored PMLSM. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a general design and analysis framework for the iron-cored linear permanent-magnet machines. Based on field solution using two dimensional analytical technique the magnetic field required magnet volume size, optimal winding thickness size, winding flux linkage and thrust will be discussed.

  • Permanent-magnet generators have been used for wind turbines for many years. This paper deals with the AFPM(Axial - Flux Permanent Magnet) Generator with a high power-to-weight ratio, dedicated for small wind turbines. The designed and constructed generator as a prototype in this study is a slotless type AFPM Generator with Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnet rotor. Based on that construction, a magnetic circuit analysis of the generator is carried out. Some important equations covering its characteristics and construction are derived and its magnetic and electrical characteristics are investigated.
