Evaluation items were deducted by based on literature materials to supplement the evaluation system of rock cut-slope in national road. Delphi survey of experts were conducted to review the final evaluation items. As a result of reviewing the significance through stepwise multiple linear regression, all of deducted items were statistically significant because these had lower P-value than 0.05. And It was confirmed that the items were selected appropriately as they had relatively similar levels of the weight. In consideration of CVR and reliability both suggested items and existing items, the exclusible items was selected and new items can complement existing evaluation system were added. Finally 18 rock cut-slope evaluation items was deducted.

In general tile evaluation process of rock slope stability is an ambiguous system which is made up of ideas subjected to practical experience of an expert. This paper aims to propose more effective methods that helps engineers to evaluate the stability of rock slope by using RMR(Rock Mass Rating for the Geomechanics Classification) and Stereo-graphic Projection and Fuzzy Approximate Reasoning Concept. the result of this paper is that a rational evaluation of rock slope stability and countermeasures can be achieved thorough RMR. and Stereo-graphic Projection and Fuzzy Approximate Reasoning Concept.
The condition, characteristics, and stability of slopes, as well as the consequences of slope failure, need to be understood for the proper stabilization of slopes and preclusion of potential disasters arising from slope failure. Here, a slope code system (SCS) that succinctly and accurately reflects the various conditions of a slope is proposed. The SCS represents the condition, characteristics, and geotechnical stability of slopes, as well as the consequences of slope failure, and the method is quickly and easily applied to a given slope. The SCS comprises five elements: 1) the slope material; 2) the genetic origin (rock type) and geological structure of the slope; 3) the geotechnical stability of the slope; 4) the probability of failure and remedial works made upon the slope; and 5) the consequences of failure. A letter code is selected from each element, and the result of the evaluation and classification of the slope is given as a five-letter code. Because the condition, characteristics, and geotechnical stability of a slope, as well as the consequences of slope failure, are provided by the SCS, this system will provide an effective mechanism for the maintenance and management of slopes, and will also allow more informed decision-making for determining which slopes should be prioritized for remedial measures.

In recent years slope failure due to heavy rainfalls or local downpours usually accompanied by typhoons has increasingly occurred in Korea. Also, the damages caused by slope failure have a tendency to be more disastrous than before. This study has been conducted to prepare an early warning system for slope failure by : (1) analyzing types and causes of slope failure, (2) examining the published evaluation criteria for slope stability, (3) estimating slope stability by considering the properties of slope-forming materials as well as the topographical and geological properties of slopes, and (4) determining the most important variables of affecting the stability of the slope under consideration. The data on the variations of slope conditions measured by an automatic in-situ measurement system and then transmitted to the central analysis system by using an internet. The most important variables can be back-calculated in the central system and compared with the values for the first and second management criteria. These management criteria should be modified and corrected continuously in the future by accumulated data and knowledge related to the early warning system for slope failure.

In this paper, we implement an elementary system to correct accent, pronunciation, and intonation in English spoken by non-native English speakers. In case of the accent evaluation, energy and pitch information are used to find stressed syllables, and then we extract the segment information of input patterns using a dynamic time warping method to discriminate and evaluate accent position. For the pronunciation evaluation. we utilize the segment information using the same algorithm as in accent evaluation and calculate the spectral distance measure for each phoneme between input and reference. For the intonation evaluation. we propose nine pattern of slope to estimate pitch contour, then we grade test sentences by accumulated error obtained by the distance measure and estimated slope. Our result shows that 98 percent of accent and 71 percent of pronunciation evaluation agree with perceptual measure. As the result of the intonation evaluation. system represent the similar order of grade for the four sentences having different intonation patterns compared with perceptual evaluation.

Collapse of cut slope includes many uncertainties in view of the reason and time. So, in the past, risky cut slopes have been dealt after they've been collapsed through post-management measures. But recently, advanced disaster prevention system is required, and as a part of that RTMS(Real-Time Monitoring System) was developed. In this study, stability of risky cut slope was evaluated by site investigation. To grasp deformation behavior characteristics of slope, numerical analysis based on FEM was performed and using results of that, specific standards for installation of Real-Time Monitoring System were suggested.

Recently, slope failures are disastrous when they occur in mountainous area adjoining highways. The accidents associated with slope failures have increased due to rapid urbanization of mountainous area. Therefore, the inspection of slope is conducted to maintain road safety as well as road function. In this study, we apply to the remedy which is comparing existent description to advanced technology using GIS. We utilize a Terrestrial LiDAR, one of the advanced method, to generate precise and complete road slope model from expert point of view. In result, we extract hazardous slope information from external measurements referring to the evaluation criteria of external slope stability. We suggest not only the database but also the method of road risk evaluation based on internet GIS.

The soil nailing system at permanent slope reinforcement is used with various facing methods in Korea. Also, pressure-injected grout technique is variously applied to many structures. However, most design of the pressure-injected grout technique have been carried out empirically because of complicated mechanisms associated with the behavior of surrounding soils and the hardening process of cement grout. Therefore this study, a newly modified soil nailing technology named as the PGSN (Pressure Grouting Soil Nailing) system with fabric form is developed to increase the global stability. Up to now, the PGSN system has been estimated mainly focusing on an establishment of the design procedure. In the present study, numerical study are carried out to evaluate potential failure surface and minimum factor of safety including facing stiffness and expanded radius of cemented grout by SSR (Shear Strength Reduction) technique. Also, results of numerical analysis are carried out for the typical section of soil nails slope using $FLAC^{2D}$ program for expanded effective radius by pressure grouting.
Many failures in cut slopes occur during and following road construction. Failures are caused, in part, by a lack of understanding of the characteristics of rock mass including its geologic structure. The stability of rock slopes is closely related to factors that include the type of rock, development of geological structures, weathering, characteristics of rock, and the shape of the geologic features. Therefore, it is very important to consider these characteristics of rock mass in the evaluation of rock slope stability. In spite of investigation from many slope failures, these information data were not systematically stored and not efficiently utilized. In this study, a Database system named DB/SLOPE was developed using Oracle for systematic management of cut slopes. The developed database system can be used to estimate of slope stability and to predict of slope failure.
