슬라이딩 궤도의 저마찰 거동에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Low-Frictional Behavior for Sliding Slab Track)

  • 장대레일이 부설된 철도 교량은 궤도-교량 상호작용으로 인하여 경간장 연장에 제약이 있다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 궤도와 교량 사이에 저마찰 슬라이드층을 두어 교량과 궤도의 종방향 거동을 분리시켜 상호작용을 원천적으로 저감시키는 슬라이딩 궤도가 개발되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 슬라이드층을 포함하는 궤도 시스템을 실규모로 제작하여 종방향으로 반복하중을 재하하는 시험을 통하여 슬라이딩 궤도의 저마찰 거동을 종합적으로 평가하고자 하였다. 하중 재하 속도를 0.2, 1.0, 5.0, 10mm/min.으로 변화를 주었으며, 5,000, 10,000kg의 부가질량이 재하된 경우에 대한 마찰거동를 비교 검토하였다. 실험 결과 제안된 슬라이드층의 마찰계수는 0.22~0.33인 것으로 확인되었다. 더불어, 30년에 해당하는 10,000회의 반복하중을 재하하여 마찰계수 변화를 관찰한 결과, 마찰계수 증가는 7%에 머물러 반복하중에 대한 장기적인 내구성을 확보한 것으로 확인되었다. 슬라이드층의 마찰계수의 변화에 따른 영향을 상호작용 해석을 통하여 추가로 검토하였다.

  • IS-95와 IMT-2000 시스템에서 사용되고 있는 여러 종류의 길쌈 부호기를 부호율 1/2, 구속장 3인 길쌈 부호기로 한정하여, 비터비 복호기에 복호길이 6인 Sliding-Window와 Neural Network의 LVQ(Learning Vector Quantization)및 PVSL(Prototype Vectors Selecting Logic)을 적용하여 순방향 실시간 복호기를 구현한다. 이론적으로 제한된 AWGN 채널환경에서의 심볼 전송전력 $S/(N_{0}/2)=1$을 성능비교 조건으로 하여 순방향 실시간 복호기와 기존의 비터비 복호기의 $강\cdot연판정$ BER 성능과 하드웨어 구성을 $비교\cdot분석$하여, 본 논문에서 제시된 순방향 실시간 복호기의 BER 성능의 우수성과 비화통신의 장점 및 하드웨어 구성의 단순합을 검증하였다.

Physical modelling of sliding failure of concrete gravity dam under overloading condition

  • Sliding within the dam foundation is one of the key failure modes of a gravity dam. A two-dimensional (2-D) physical model test has been conducted to study the sliding failure of a concrete gravity dam under overloading conditions. This model dam was instrumented with strain rosettes, linear variable displacement transformers (LVDTs), and embedded fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing bars. The surface and internal displacements of the dam structure and the strain distributions on the dam body were measured with high accuracy. The setup of the model with instrumentation is described and the monitoring data are presented and analyzed in this paper. The deformation process and failure mechanism of dam sliding within the rock foundation are investigated based on the test results. It is found that the horizontal displacements at the toe and heel indicate the dam stability condition. During overloading, the cracking zone in the foundation can be simplified as a triangle with gradually increased height and vertex angle.

경계윤활 및 무윤활 상태에서 선접촉을 하는 세라믹과 강의 마찰과 마멸 특성 (Friction and Wear of Ceramic-Steel Pairs in Boundary-Lubricated and Unlubricated Line-Contact Sliding)

  • The friction and wear behaviors of ceramics against steels with lubricants were investigated and compared with those observed in air. Lubrications wbre done by a water and a commercial engine oil as received. The investigated ceramics were $Al_{2}O_{3}$, SiC, and $Si_{3}N_{4}$. Steels with 0.2 wt.% C were heat treated to obtain tempered structure. A cylinder-on-plate tribometer with rotated sliding motion was used to carry out the experiments. In the experiments reported here, the ranges of different testing speeds and loads were used. It was found that the friction and wear characteristics of tested pairs were significantly influenced by environments. In water and oil environments the wear of ceramics was reduced from 10$^{-6}$ g/s down to 10$^{-8}$ g/s in dry sliding at the same values of the frictional power which are the products of the friction coefficient, the load and the sliding speed. SiC showed excellent wear resistant behavior in water sliding, which was the lowest among tested ceramics, but it was, very poor in oils. In case of $Si_{3}N_{4}$, the wear rates were very low under oil environment, but the highest in water. The wear rates of $Al_{2}O_{3}$ were very low in both lubricating conditions at low values of the frictional power, but high at high values of the frictional power.

  • 교류 서보전동기 동적 모델은 비선형이고 2차 저항이 변동영향이 많다. 이러한 복잡한 제어는 견실제어가 요구된다. 이러한 시스템의 동특성은 슬라이딩 모드제어를 사용함으로 파라미터나 외란 변동에 대하여 견실성을 달성할 수 있다. 본 논문은 교류 서보전동기에 의한 위치제어에 슬라이딩 모드 제어의 적용을 나타내었다. 제어방법이 유도되고 제어시스템이 설계되었다. 교류 서보전동기의 견실제어를 위해 외부 부하 파라미터에 기초한 설계방법이 제안되었다. 제안된 제어방법은 가변구조 제어기와 슬립주파수형 벡터제어에 기초하여 주어졌다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 관성모우먼트, 점성마찰 및 부하외란 변동에 결실함을 나타내었고 슬라이딩 모드를 적용한 제안된 설계방법이 유용한 것을 구명한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 슬라이딩 모드 관측기를 사용한 리튬 배터리의 충전량 예측방법에 대해서 논의한다. 배터리의 비선형 회로 모델링 기법이 소개되고 슬라이딩 모드 관측기를 사용한 충전량 예측기의 설계 방법이 논의된다. 기존의 복잡한 배터리 모델링 방법 대신, 단순화된 저항-커패시터 모델링 방법이 본 연구에서 사용되었다. 단순화된 모델에 의해 발생되는 오차나 불확실성은 슬라이딩 모드 관측기에 의해 보상되었다. 슬라이딩 모드 관측기의 구조는 단순하지만, 모델링 에러나 외란에 대해서 강인한 특성을 보여준다. 제안된 제어기의 수렴성은 등가제어 방법에 의해서 증명되었다. 제안된 시스템의 성능은 UDDS (Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule) 시험에 의해서 증명되었다. 시험 결과 제안된 시스템은 실제 주행 환경에서도 우수한 추적 성능을 보여주었다.

Behaviour of asymmetric building with double variable frequency pendulum isolator

  • Presented in this paper is the behaviour of asymmetric building isolated by the double variable frequency pendulum isolator (DVFPI). The DVFPI is an adoption of single variable frequency pendulum isolator (VFPI). The geometry and coefficient of friction of top and bottom sliding surfaces can be unequal. The governing equations of motion of the building-isolation system are derived and solved in incremental form. The analysis duly considers the interaction of frictional forces in the two principal directions developed at each sliding surface of the DVFPI. In order to investigate the behaviour of the base isolation using the DVFPI, the coupled lateral-torsional response is obtained under different parametric variations for a set of six far-fault earthquake ground motions and criterion to optimize its performance is proposed. Further, influences of the initial time period, coefficient of friction and frequency variation factors at the two sliding surfaces are investigated. The numerical results of the extensive parametric study help in understanding the torsional behaviour of the structure isolated with the double sliding surfaces as in the DVFPI. It is found that the performance of the DVFPI can be optimized by designing the top sliding surface initially softer and smoother relative to the bottom one.

슬라이드 링크 구조를 이용한 원터치 완강기 (One-touch Descending Lifeline with Sliding Linkage Structure)

  • A one-touch descending lifeline that can easily be installed and rapidly evacuated in the event of a fire accident in high-rise buildings was proposed to overcome difficulties of conventional descending lifeline such as complex installation methods and procedures. However, this lifeline exhibits limitations such as restrictions in installation location and large apparatus size. Therefore, this paper proposes a sliding-type descending lifeline, which has a similar operation to that of current one-touch descending lifeline and solves the aforementioned limitations. A double square link mechanism including a sliding four-bar linkage is proposed and the descending lifeline support is redesigned to unfold in two different planes, allowing 3D movement. Additionally, the shape of the support frame is designed to obtain two attachment surfaces that can be attached to a wall, irrespective of the angle between the window and the inner wall. FEA analysis using ABAQUS is performed to ensure that the robustness of the presented support complies with the Fire Control Act Enforcement Decree. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed sliding one-touch descending lifeline is verified through fabrication.

테프론형 기초지진격리장치의 성능평가 (Evaluation of Performance of the Teflon-Type Seismic Foundation Isolation System)

  • Various seismic isolation methods are being applied to bridges and buildings to improve their seismic performance. Most seismic isolation systems are the structural seismic isolation systems. In this study, the seismic performance of geotechnical seismic isolation system capable of isolating the lower foundation of the bridge structure from ground was evaluated. The geotechnical seismic isolation system was built with teflon, and the model structure was made by adopting the similitude law. The response acceleration for sinusoidal waves of various amplitudes and frequencies and seismic waves were analyzed by performing 1-G shaking table experiments. Fixed foundation, Sliding foundation, and Rocking foundation were evaluated. The results of this study indicated that the Teflon-type seismic foundation isolation system is effective in reducing the acceleration transmitted to the superstructure subject to large input ground motion. Response spectrum of the Rocking and Sliding foundation structures moves to the long period, while that of Fixed foundation moves to short period.
