DGPS형 정밀위치시스템을 이용한 이동 로봇 위치보정 (The Position Compensation for a Mobile Robot Using DGPS-type Precise Position Service System)

  • Nowadays, CPS is used widely, especially in cases which need more precise position information, such as car navigation systems and even in the mobile robot for position measuring in the outdoor environment. RTK (Real-Time Kinematics) and DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) have more precise accuracy than the general-purposed GPS. However can't easily use them because of high prices and large size of equipments. In order fur the mobile robot to obtain precise position information it is important that CPS receiver has portability and low price. In this study, we introduce a new GPS data acquisition system that offers the precise position data using the DGPS mechanism and satisfying low cost and portability. In addition to this, we propose an improved data compensation algorithm that offers more accurate position information to the outdoor mobile robot by compensating the error rate of CPS data measured from the three points with geometrical rotation and distance formula. Proposed method is verified by comparing with the precise real position data obtained by RTK. Proposed method has more than 70% performance enhancement.

  • As location recognition for autonomous vehicles develops, the need for a precise map for autonomous driving has increased. A precise map must be built based upon accurate position. Recent studies have accelerated research in this area by using various sensors that calculate the accurate position by comparing and recognizing objects around the roads. However, application of such methods is limited because these studies only take objects with significant verticality into consideration. Thus, new research is needed to overcome the limitations: a method that is not constrained by the existence of certain types of surrounding objects shall be proposed. Most roads contain road marking information, such as lanes, direction signs, and pedestrian crossings. Such information on the road surface is a valuable resource for building a precise map. This paper proposes a method of building a precise map by using road marking information.

  • 최근 슬램 알고리즘의 실현을 통해 주변 환경에 대한 맵 정보가 획득 가능할 경우에 격자 그리드 기반의 Boustrophedon 경로 기반 커버리지 알고리즘이 매우 효율적인 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 Boustrophedon 경로 기반 알고리즘은실내 공간에 장애물이 복잡하게 존재할 경우에는 급격히 성능 저하현상이 발생한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 복잡한 실내 공간에서도 효율적으로 빠른 시간 내에 청소를 완료할 수 있는 Group-k 알고리즘을 제안하고 구현한다. Group-k 알고리즘은 전체 공간을 장애물의 복잡성에 근거하여 전체 공간을 그룹화하고 각 그룹별 우선순위를 부여하여 전체 작업 순서를 효율적으로 제어한다. 구현 기반의 실험에 의하면, 본 논문에서 제안된 알고리즘은 Boustrophedon 경로 기반 알고리즘에 비해 약 20%의 성능 향상을 보여준다.

  • 본 논문은 INS/vSLAM 통합 항법 시스템의 성능 향상을 위한 기초 연구로써, 비전 센서의 영상처리 성능을 향상을 위한 알고리즘 개발에 목표를 두고 있다. 비전센서의 영상처리알고리즘으로 SIFT 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, SIFT 알고리즘의 특징점 정합 성능을 개선하기 위해 특징점 정합 필터를 적용하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리즘을 이용하여 기존의 SIFT 알고리즘을 파라미터 조절한 경우보다 향상된 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 차후 실시간 통합 항법 시스템에 적용하기 위해서 알고리즘의 속도를 향상시키는 작업이 필요하다.

  • In Pusan Harbour, new port development projects are implemented such as the Extended Terminal adjacent to the Gamman Terminal, Pusan New Port, the Nary $\infty$ piers, etc. which will require new marine traffic environments in the Passage I of Pusan Harbour Specially, the turning basin of the Extended Terminal adjacent to the Gamman Terminal gas been designed to overlay the Passage I of Pusan Harbour, Which will interrupt the inbound traffic flow and the results will be worried to decrease the efficiency of port operation. Therefore, this paper will be aimed to evaluate the traffic congestion in the Pusan Passage I due to the opening of new ports within Pusan Harbour in 2006 and 2011 by using computer simulation based the queueing theory.

  • AR은 VR과 달리 실세계 공간의 객체에 대한 서비스를 제공하므로 서비스 개발을 방해하는 많은 요인들이 발생한다. 이를 보완하기위해 비주얼 마커, SLAM, 객체인식 등 여러 AR 기술이 존재한다. 본 논문은 AR 기술 중에서 객체인식의 정확도 향상을 위해 지역가변 이진화(Local variable binarization)와 색상의 군집화를 사용해서 이미지에서 객체를 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 지역 가변화는 픽셀을 순차적으로 읽어 들이면서 픽셀 주위의 값의 평균을 구하고, 이 값을 해당 픽셀의 임계 값으로 사용하는 알고리즘이다. 픽셀마다 주위 색상 값에 의해 임계 값이 변화되므로 윤곽선 표현이 기존의 이진화보다 뚜렷이 나타난다. 색상의 군집화는 객체의 중요색상과 배경의 중요색상을 중심으로 유사한 색상끼리 군집화 하는 것이다. 객체 내에서 가장 많이 나온 값과 객체 외에 가장 많이 나온 값을 각 각 기준으로 색조와 채도의 값을 Euclidean 거리를 사용해 객체의 색상과 배경 색상을 분리했다.

  • Low fertility rates and increased life expectancy further exacerbate the process of an aging society. This is also reflected in the gradual increase in the proportion of vulnerable groups in the social population. The demand for improved mobility among vulnerable groups such as the elderly or the disabled has greatly driven the growth of the electric-assisted mobility device market. However, such mobile devices generally require a certain operating capability, which limits the range of vulnerable groups who can use the device and increases the cost of learning. Therefore, autonomous driving technology needs to be introduced to make mobility easier for a wider range of vulnerable groups to meet their needs of work and leisure in different environments. This study uses mini PC Odyssey, Velodyne Lidar VLP-16, electronic device and Linux-based ROS program to realize the functions of working environment recognition, simultaneous localization, map generation and navigation of electric powered mobile devices for vulnerable groups. This autonomous driving mobility device is expected to be of great help to the vulnerable who lack the immediate response in dangerous situations.

Rmap+: Autonomous Path Planning for Exploration of Mobile Robot Based on Inner Pair of Outer Frontiers

  • Exploration of mobile robot without prior data about environments is a fundamental problem during the SLAM processes. In this work, we propose improved version of previous Rmap algorithm by modifying its Exploration submodule. Despite the previous Rmap's performance which significantly reduces the overhead of the grid map, its exploration module costs a lot because of its rectangle following algorithm. To prevent that, we propose a new Rmap+ algorithm for autonomous path planning of mobile robot to explore an unknown environment. The algorithm bases on paired frontiers. To navigate and extend an exploration area of mobile robot, the Rmap+ utilizes the inner and outer frontiers. In each exploration round, the mobile robot using the sensor range determines the frontiers. Then robot periodically changes the range of sensor and generates inner pairs of frontiers. After calculating the length of each frontiers' and its corresponding pairs, the Rmap+ selects the goal point to navigate the robot. The experimental results represent efficiency and applicability on exploration time and distance, i.e., to complete the whole exploration, the path distance decreased from 15% to 69%, as well as the robot decreased the time consumption from 12% to 86% than previous algorithms.

통계적 모멘트를 이용한 정확한 환경 지도 표현을 위한 저가 라이다 센서 기반 유리 특징점 추출 기법 (A Low-Cost Lidar Sensor based Glass Feature Extraction Method for an Accurate Map Representation using Statistical Moments)

  • This study addresses a low-cost lidar sensor-based glass feature extraction method for an accurate map representation using statistical moments, i.e. the mean and variance. Since the low-cost lidar sensor produces range-only data without intensity and multi-echo data, there are some difficulties in detecting glass-like objects. In this study, a principle that an incidence angle of a ray emitted from the lidar with respect to a glass surface is close to zero degrees is concerned for glass detection. Besides, all sensor data are preprocessed and clustered, which is represented using statistical moments as glass feature candidates. Glass features are selected among the candidates according to several conditions based on the principle and geometric relation in the global coordinate system. The accumulated glass features are classified according to the distance, which is lastly represented on the map. Several experiments were conducted in glass environments. The results showed that the proposed method accurately extracted and represented glass windows using proper parameters. The parameters were empirically designed and carefully analyzed. In future work, we will implement and perform the conventional SLAM algorithms combined with our glass feature extraction method in glass environments.

  • 3D scan technology can utilize real spatial information as it is in virtual space, so it can be usefully used in various fields such as reverse engineering of buildings and process management. Recently, with the development of ICT technology, more precise scan data can be obtained, and scan processing time has also been greatly reduced. In addition, the combination of software and scanning equipment used in 3D scanning technology is very diverse, and results are very different depending on which technology is used. Accordingly, there is a problem that it is difficult for a user who has no experience in 3D scanning technology to determine which technology and equipment should be used to obtain good results. In this study, 3D scan technologies mainly used at home and abroad are investigated, classified, and tested at actual construction sites to suggest considerations and suitable 3D scan methods when using 3D scans in construction sites. The test results were analyzed to evaluate the time it takes to scan, the final quality, and the user's convenience according to each technology method.
