This study sought to apply different MgO additions to Zirconia (20wt % Frit) and thereby determine its mechanical properties depending upon variation of temperature, as a part of elementary study. First, in terms of sintering density depending on sintering conditions, it was found that sintering density increased as temperature varied from $1100^{\circ}C$ to $1300^{\circ}C$. As the addition of MgO increased, it was found that sintering density tended to decrease at each temperature. For the maximum sintering density obtained from pellet, it was found that 3wt% MgO addition specimens sintered at $1300^{\circ}C$ had its maximum sintering density as high as 97.39%. This study measured mechanical properties of these specimens, and it was found that their bending strength tended to decrease as the content of MgO addition increased. And it was found that their bending strength reached up to 162 MPa when 3wt% MgO was added to them for sintering process at $1300^{\circ}\Delta C$. It was also found that those specimens had Vickers microhardness up to 4.6 GPa when 5wt% MgO was added to them for sintering process at $1300^{\circ}C$.

It is well known for 410L ferritic stainless steel powder to applicate a sensor ring in anti-lock brake system of automobile, several studies, because of its excellent magnetic properties. This study was carried out In investigate the magnetic properties such as the maximum magnetic induction, coercivity and maximum permeability of the materials with functions of sintering density! time and temperature, and concluded as follows; 1. Sintering under the circumstances of hydrogen gas and tile temperature of $1250^{\circ}C$ for 60min. showed that nitrogen was increased, whereas carbon and oxygen decreased in quantities. 2. Both maximum magnetic induction value of 4700Gauss and permeability of 200 were obtained at the maximum sintering density of 6.89g/$cm^3$. Here, the properties showed a linear increasement with increasing the sintering density. 3. Coercivity sharply increased with incresing the sintering density and reached to 7.6Oe at the maximum sintering density of 6.89g/$cm^3$.
In the present study the effect of the addition of Fe on the pressureless and hot press sintering behavior was studied under Ar atmosphere. Pressureless sintering was performed 1900~220$0^{\circ}C$ under. Ar atmosphere. The addition of 1 wt% Fe was increased effectively of the sintered density. However it was impossible to obtain high density higher than 90%,. Zr-Fe-B compound in liquid phase was observed from the EDS and WDS analysis. It was considered that sinterability was enhanced due to the mass transfer through Fe based liquid phase formed at the sintering temperature. Hot pressing was performed at 1600~1$700^{\circ}C$ under Ar atmos-phere for 1 hr. It was possible obtain 95% relative density of ZrB2 specimen which is higher density at pressure-less sintering. It could be thought that ZrB2 particles was rearranged through liquid phase by applied pressure during initial stage of sintering.

A new approach to sintering loose packed, coarse aluminum alloy powder to full or near full density is presented. A controlled amount of water vapor is introduced into the sintering atmosphere, which disru pts the oxide film and allows metallurgical contact between particles. In addition, supersolidus liquid phase sintering is used to sinter the part to full density. Since the method is particularly applicable to uncompacted powders, it is potentially useful for sintering aluminum powder preforms manufactured by 3DPrinting and powder injection molding.

Predicting the quality of materials after they are subjected to plasma sintering is a challenging task because of the non-linear relationships between the process variables and mechanical properties. Furthermore, the variables governing the sintering process affect the microstructure and the mechanical properties of the final product. Therefore, an artificial neural network modeling was carried out to correlate the parameters of the spark plasma sintering process with the densification and hardness values of Ti-6Al-4V alloys dispersed with nano-sized TiN particles. The relative density (%), effective density (g/㎤), and hardness (HV) were estimated as functions of sintering temperature (℃), time (min), and composition (change in % TiN). A total of 20 datasets were collected from the open literature to develop the model. The high-level accuracy in model predictions (>80%) discloses the complex relationships among the sintering process variables, product quality, and mechanical performance. Further, the effect of sintering temperature, time, and TiN percentage on the density and hardness values were quantitatively estimated with the help of the developed model.

The physical properties of ceramic materials including oxides are greatly influenced by the material density. Therefore, various efforts have been made to increase the material density. One of the most popular strategies is to use sintering additives in sintering materials. The conventional sintering additive was a spherical powder having a three-dimensional structure. In this study, sintering additive with 2-dimensional (2D) layer structure was used to increase the sintering density of cerium oxide and its effect was confirmed. In this study, 1 nm-thick $TiO_x$ and $MnO_x$ nanosheets were used as sintering additives.

Liquid phase sintering of 90W-6Ni-4Mn alloy has been investigated as functions of sintering atmosphere, heating rate, and reduction temperature. The present work accounts for the thermodynamic oxidatiodreduction reactions of constituent powders of W, Ni and Mn. By discounting these reactions, the previous investigations would obtain only the alloy with large pores and the lowered relative sintered density, by the liquid phase sintering under a dry hydrogen atmosphere. the sintering cycle consisted of a rapid heating to reduction temperatures under high purity nitrogen atmosphere, and holding for 4 hours and sintering at $1260^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour under a dry hydrogen gas. The relative density of the sintered alloy increased with increasing heating rate. As the reduction temperature increased, the relative density increased to the lm theotical density at the duction temture above $1150^{\circ}C$. The mimsturcatre of sintered alloys has been analysed by a scanning election microscope. The sintered density was compared with those obtained from the other investigators. It was found that the reduction $1150^{\circ}C$ results in the lowered densification of 90W-6Ni-4Mn alloy. This is caused by the fact that reducing reactions of W and Ni oxides contained in W an Ni powders concomitantly leads to oxidizing reaction of Mn powder the oxidized Mn is hardly reduced at sintering temperature and thereby remains large pores in the alloy. It is concluded that the W-Ni-Mn alloy with full density can be obtained by the precise control of atmosphere, heating rate, and sintering temperature.

The microstructure, voltage-current, capacitance-voltage, and dielectric characteristics of CCT doped Zn/Pr-based varistors were investigated at different sintering temperatures. As the sintering temperature increased, the average grain size increased from 4.3 to 5.1 ${\mu}m$ and the sintered density was saturated at 5.81 g $cm^{-3}$. As the sintering temperature increased, the breakdown field decreased from 7,532 to 5,882 V $cm^{-1}$ and the nonlinear coefficient decreased from 46 to 34. As the sintering temperature increased, the donor density, density of interface states, and barrier height decreased in the range of (9.06-7.24)${\times}10^{17}\;cm^{-3}$, (3.05-2.56)${\times}10^{12}\;cm^{-2}$, and 1.1-0.95 eV, respectively. The dielectric constant exhibited relatively low value in the range of 529.1-610.3, whereas the $tan{\delta}$ exhibited a high value in the range of 0.0910-0.1053.
The characteristics of two commercial 2xxx series Al alloy powders, AMB2712 and 201AB, were evaluated and their compacting and sintering characteristics were discussed in tems of compacting pressure. The particle shapes of both two powder mixtures were irregular and their particle size distributions were broad. The compactibility of AMB2712 was superior to that of 201AB because of better fluidity. The sintered density was higher than the green density at low compacting pressure, however, it was lower than the green density when the samples were compacted at higher pressure due to the selling during sintering. The sintered density was alomost the same as the green density at the "homogeneous deformation" stage. It was observed that pores were created at the triple points due to the rapid diffusion of Cu in Al. Cu in Al.
