  • This paper presents 3-phase current regulation of SR motor by only single current sensor. The conventional drive system of SR motor has a current sensor per each phase. In this paper, The asymmetric bridge converter which Is able to control independently phases and be excited simultaneously is used fs the driver system for 6/4 poles SR motor. And the sensor Is replaced 3 sensors of each phase with only one on bus line of converter so as to detect current of every phase. A drive logic circuit is designed on EPLD with Delta modulation using a fixed frequency This technique is verified through simulation and experiment.

Structure and Photo-catalytic Activity of TiO2 Films Deposited by Reactive RF Magnetron Sputtering (반응성 RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 MgO 기판위에 증착한 TiO2 박막의 구조와 광촉매 특성)

  • Titanium dioxide ($TiO_2$) films were deposited by RF reactive magnetron sputtering on non-alkali glass and single crystal MgO (100) substrate at substrate temperature of $400^{\circ}C$. Micro structures of $TiO_2$ films were investigated by XRD, FE-SEM, and Pole figure measurements. $TiO_2$ films deposited on glass substrate showed preferred orientation of anatase (101), whereas $TiO_2$ films deposited on the MgO single crystal substrate showed hetero-epitaxial anatase (100). $TiO_2$ film grown on MgO substrate showed higher photoctalytic activity than that of glass substrate.

  • In this paper, optimized model was designed for the starting characteristic of the Single-Phase Line-Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor by using the Design of Experiment. A field pole angle, thickness and distance from center axis of permanent magnet were selected as design factor. We executed the transient state characteristic analysis of 8 test models. The transient state characteristic analysis was executed by using the 2 dimensional Finite Element Method and the Time Difference Method. We checked the fact that the selected design factor affected starting characteristic of the Line-Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. Depend on this result we found the optimized design point by using the response optimization.

  • We present the characteristics of microwave and mechanical behavior for the electrostatically actuated z-shaped laterally driven micriomachined CPW SPST(Single Pole Single Throw) Switch, which is for the application of the microwave communication systems. In this paper, we have aimed to maintain advantages. such as low insertion loss and low power consumption that the previously developed RF MEMS Switch has and minimize also stiction problem. enhance the microwave characteristics by etching of substrate beneath the switch, realize the pull-in voltage of below 30V. The optimized design parameters of the MEMS Switch can be selected by the analysis of the mechanical behavior and the use of ANSYS simulation method.

  • Linear metro with single sided linear induction motor is applied to the urban transit system because of non adhesion drive. But linear induction motor is required to reduce the energy consumption to maximize efficiency of LIM. In this paper, design requirements such as pole pitch, motor length, air gap, overhang length and the material of secondary sheet are investigated as major parameter of SLIM. It is effective for increasing the efficiency to adopt the copper reaction plate and decrease the mechanical air gap as small as possible.

  • In this paper, a current control system of a single phase PWM AC/DC converter using a reduced-order Luenberger observer without source voltage sensors is proposed. The sinusoidal input current and unity input power factor are realised based on the estimated source voltage performed by the reduced-order Luenberger observer using actual currents and DC link voltage. The poles of the reduced-order Luenberger observer are placed in the left half plane of s-plane by the pole-placement method in order to acquire the stability of the observer. The magnitude and the phase of the estimated source voltage are used to accomplish the unity power factor. The proposed method is implemented by DSP(Digital Signal Processor). Experimental Results verify that the reduced-order observer estimates the source voltage without the estimation error and the control system accomplishes the unity power factor, and constant DC link voltage.

  • Heteroepitaxial growth of cubic silicon carbide films on Si(001) and Si(111) substrates at temperatures 900-$1000^{\circ}C$ has been achieved by high vacuum chemical vapor deposition using the single precursor 1, 3-disilabutane without carrying out the carbonization process of the substrate surfaces. The deposition temperature range is much lowered compared with conventiontional chemical vapor deposition where separate sources for silicon and carbon are employed. The deposition procedure is quite simple and safe. The qualities of the films were found to be very good judging from the results obtained by various characterization techniques including reflection high energy electron diffraction, X-ray diffraction, X-ray pole figure analysis, Rutherford backscattering spectrometry, Auger depth profiling, and transmission electron diffraction.

  • This paper aims to design of a double stator axial field 12/10 SRM. Conventional and single stator axial field SRMs were reviewed to apply for automotive cooling fan. The axial field SRM has the advantage of shorter flux path, higher torque per volume and lower iron loss. However, there is axial eccentricity in single stator axial field SRM due to one side excitation. Therefore, a double stator type is designed in this paper to reduce the axial eccentricity. And the trapezoidal pole shape of the stator increases the flow of magnetic flux from stator to rotor and the torque region. The torque and efficiency are compared and tested with experiments.

  • This paper presents direct adaptive controllers for single-input single-output nonminimum phase systems based on PID structures. Also, characteristics of these schemes are compared, and convergence properties are considered. In these schemes, controller parameters are estimated from the least-square algorithm and some additional auxiliary parameters are obtained from the proposed polynomial identity which is derived from the pole placement equation and the Bezout identity. The effectiveness of these schemes is demonstrated by computer simulation that has been carried out for a very difficult example.

  • Epitaxial cubic silicon carbide films have been deposited on carbonized Si(001) substrates using the single precursor 1, 3-disilabutane in the temperature range 900-$1000^{\circ}C$ under high vacuum conditions. The films grown were characterized by in situ RHEED, XPS, XRD, x-ray pole figure, SEM, and TEM. The results show that epitaxial cubic SiC films with smooth morphology and good crystallinity were formed in this temperature range. The single precursor 1, 3-disilabutane has been found suitable for the epitaxial growth of cubic SiC on Si(001) substrates.
