  • A method to determine nonlinear system observability will be introduced here. For the determination of the deterministic nonlinear system observability two conditions connectedness and univalence, are developed and used. Depending on how the conditions are satisfied, observability is classified in three categories : observability in the strict sense, wide sense, and the unobservable case. Including simple linear and nonlinear system example an underwater acoustical locaization tracking nonlinear system, the bearing-only tracking example is analyzed.

  • We proposed Binary ASK system for 1Giga bit Modem. The Binary ASK system has a high speed shutter transmitter and no IF receiver only by symbol synchronization. The advantage of proposed system is that circuitry is very simple without IF process. The disadvantage of proposed system are that line spectrum occurs unordinary interference to other channels, and enhancement to 4-level system is impossible due to its large SNR degradation.

  • On a bus-based shared memory multiprocessing system, the system bus monitoring and analysis are crucial for system integration test and performance analysis. In this paper, the design and implementation of a bus monitoring instrument for the TICOM-III system are decribed. The instrument dedicated to TICOM-III, which is called the Bus Information Procssing Unit, analyzes the bus state and measures the bus utilization. It performs many useful functions to help debugging the system, and offers a simple user interface.

  • This paper describes the capacity calculation of power supply system for light Rail Transit Three factors are considered for the design i.e. substation arrangements, line configuration and substation power capacity. In this study, we considered all of them for capacity calculation of power supply system for LRT. At first DC-fed-traction system is introduced on an outline, a characteristics of train and fed network, and design method of substation arrangements. Optimal design procedures are described, and program for capacity calculation of the system is presented. In addition, the computer simulated results are computed with the conventional simple calculation method.

  • Nowadays, a Spot Welding system has been widely used in all kinds of industries and the common control method of the systeme is a simple current control using SCR. But, that kind of system is less effective than a current control method using inverter. So, it is constantly proposed that an improvement of hard ware and control method of spot welding system in compliance with technological advancement in power electronics. This paper deals with spot welding system using inverter. Especially, it deals with hard ware structure, features and output characteristics.

  • In the conventional infrared imaging system, complex infrared lens systems are usually used for directing collimated narrow infrared beams into the high speed 2-dimensional optic scanner. In this paper, a simple reflective infrared optic system with a 2-dimensional optic scanner is proposed for the realization of medical infrared thermography system. It has been experimentally proven that the intfrared thermography system composed of the proposed optic system has the temperature resolution of $0.1^{\circ}C$ under the spatial resolution of lmrad, the image matrix size of $256 {\times} 240, $ and tile imaging time of 4 seconds.

  • The control strategy for damping analysis of STATCON is derived based on an energy function of the power system equation. The center-of-angle(COA) coordinated system by a simple equivalent physical system is used and the control law for this system is induced for FACTS devices as TCSC and STATCON. Damping results from the transient performance simulations carried out on the model system.

  • A vacuum system with ejector has been widely used because of its simple construction and easy maintenance. Ejectors are the main part of the vacuum system, of which designs determine the efficiency of vacuum system. The ejector with the capacity of 1.5 ton/hr steam consumption was designed and tested. The results showed that the tested values are satisfied with the designed specifications. Comparing with other ejectors designed by overseas specialist makers, it seems to have a good performance.

  • In this paper a platform that makes it possible the simulations of the vehicle operational control for PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) is introduced. PRT system has very short headway and requires accurate speed control of the vehicles to avoid the impact between the vehicles. The proposed platform is composed of central control system, station control system, communication control system, AP for wireless communication, and monitoring system. Simple operational test scenarios are presented and the effectiveness of the proposed platform is shown using the test scenarios.

  • The nuclear steam generator level control system is designed by robust control methods. The feedwater controller is designed by three methods of the H$\infty$, the mixed weight sensitivity and the structured singular value. Then the controller located on the feedback loop of the level control system is designed. For the system performance, the controller of simple PID whose coefficients vary with the power is selected. The simulations show that the system has a good performance with proper stability margins.
