Waffle-Iron 도파관 여파기 설계 (Design of Waffle-Iron Waveguide Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 waffle-iron 도파관 여파기의 실용적인 설계 방법을 기술하였다. 설계 과정은 두 단계로 이루어진다. 첫 단계로는 waffle-iron 구조의 단일 window에 대해 EM S/W tool를 이용하여 S-파라미터를 구하고, ABCD 파라미터로 변환하여 K-인버터를 계산하고, 두 번째 단계는 분포 정수 원형 여파기와 일치되게 window의 크기를 최적화한다. 설계 방법을 검증하기 위해 위성통신용 Ka 대역 여파기를 설계하고 제작하였다. 측정 결과는 계산 결과와 비교하여 양호하게 일치하였다.

RPSO 알고리즘을 이용한 탄화 재료의 열분해 물성치 추정 (Estimation of the Properties for a Charring Material Using the RPSO Algorithm)

  • Fire characteristics can be analyzed more realistically by using more accurate properties related to the fire dynamics and one way to acquire these fire properties is to use one of the inverse property estimation techniques. In this study two optimization algorithms which are frequently applied for the inverse heat transfer problems are selected to demonstrate the procedure of obtaining pyrolysis properties of charring material with relatively simple thermal decomposition. Thermal decomposition is occurred at the surface of the charring material heated by receiving the radiative energy from external heat sources and in this process the heat transfer through the charring material is simplified by an unsteady 1-dimensional problem. The basic genetic algorithm(GA) and repulsive particle swarm optimization(RPSO) algorithm are used to find the eight properties of a charring material; thermal conductivity(virgin, char), specific heat(virgin, char), char density, heat of pyrolysis, pre-exponential factor and activation energy by using the surface temperature and mass loss rate history data which are obtained from the calculated experiments. Results show that the RPSO algorithm has better performance in estimating the eight pyrolysis properties than the basic GA for problems considered in this study.

누두흉을 동반한 선천성 기관지낭종1 치험례 (A Case of Funnel Chest Associated with Congenital Bronchogenic Cyst)

  • A three year and seven month old girl with moderate depression deformity of the sternum associated with a huge well defined homogenous hazy mass density of the upper half of the right hemithorax on plain chest x-ray had developed, exertionaI dyspnea (Figs1, 2 and 3). Correction of the funnel chest was carried out with modified Ravitch procedure and resection of the intrathoracic cystic mass was performed through an anterolateral thoracotomy incision in one stage operation satisfactorily (Figs. 7 and 8). On exploration, the mass, $15{\times}12{\times}10$cm in size, was connected to the bronchus at 1cm a bove the carina by a stalk (Fig. 4). The outer surface showed abundant vasculature. The specimen was filled with mucoid material; the inner surface was much trabeculated. glistening and smooth (Fig. 5 and 6). yficroscopically, the cyst was lined with simple or pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium. The cystic wall was composed of loose fibrous connective tissue, muscle layers, cartilages with some lymphocytic infiltration (Fig. 9). Isolated cases of funnel chest deformity and congenital bronchogenic cystic disease are not uncommon; however, the assocbtion of the two conditions is yery rare. Therefore. report and review of the literature was done.

  • 접지설계에 있어서 토양의 전기적 특성은 접지극의 형상과 더불어 가장 중요한 설계요소 중 하나이며 이러한 토양의 전기적 특성은 접지극이 매설될 지역의 고유한 저항률, 즉 고유저항률(specific earth resistivity)로 대표되어 왔다. 이처럼 고유저항률에 근거한 수작업 접지설계는 복잡한 구조와 특성을 갖는 실제 토양을 균일한 매질로 등가 화하는 절차를 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 미얀마 500[kV] 송전철탑 수작업 접지설계를 위하여 수평다층토양을 균일 매질로 등가화 하는 절차를 제시하였다.

도서형 복재 신경피부 피판술을 이용한 하지 연부 조직 결손의 재건 (Reconstruction of the Soft Tissue Defect of the Lower Leg with Saphenous Neurocutaneous Island Flap)

  • Purpose: We present clinical usefulness of saphenous neurocutaneous island flap for reconstruction of soft tissue defect of the lower leg, especially anteromedial aspect, including foot and ankle. Materials and Methods: Thirteen cases of soft tissue defects in the lower leg including foot and ankle which were 6 cases of pretibial area, 2 cases of anteromedial aspect of distal two third, 2 cases of ankle, and 3 cases of foot were treated saphenous neurocutaneous island flap. They were proximally based flap 3 cases and distally based flap 10 cases. Clinically the flaps ranged in size from $4{\times}5\;cm$ to $6{\times}12\;cm$. Results: All of the flaps except 1 case survived completely. Three cases, however, had marginal necrosis. One case of flap failure was proximal tibia fracture accompanied with injury of the flap pedicle which was difficult in flap elevation, subsequently. Conclusion: The saphenous neurocutaneous island flap is a simple, reliable procedure with a versatility for soft tissue coverage of the lower leg, especially anteomedial aspect, including foot and ankle. In case of another injuries accompanied near the saphenous nerve, careful attention should be made.

고려인삼의 미토콘드리아 DNA의 분자생물학적 특성연구 (The Characterization of Mitochondrial DNA of Korean Ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer))

  • This study was focused on the characterization of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) for molecular 9enetical approach of energy Production related mechanism in Panax ginseng. The simple and efficient method of mtDNA isolation from ginseng has been developed by modification of recently advanced methods. This procedure can successfully apply to mtDNA isolation of several plants. mtDNA of etiolated shoot and one-year root were digested with restriction endonucleases, but that of 6-year root not. Any difference was not observed in the restriction endonuclease digestion patterns among the ginseng variants. Molecular size of ginseng mtDNA was estimated at least 159 kb by the restriction endonuclease fragment analysis. The 4.5 kb extra band at the lane of EcoRII treatment could be observed in restriction patterns digested with the methylation sensitive endonucleases, BstN I and EcoRII. For construction of mitochondrial genomic library of ginseng, mtDNA was partially digested with EcoRl, and packaged with EMBL4 phage vector. Genomic library was screened and purified for further research including restriction mapping of ginseng mtDNA, and cloning of the genes. The gene of ATP synthase A subunit was cloned from the purified EMBL4 library clone No. 16. Now, clone No. 16 is subcloned for structure gene sequence analysis.

상호대화식 Web3D 컨텐츠의 구현 및 응용 (Implementation and application of interactive Web3D Contents)

  • 현재 인터넷관련 기술은 단순한 2D로부터 상호작용 하는 3D 컨텐츠 형태로 변화하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 저작도구인 TurnTool를 이용하여 고품질의 상호대화식 Web3D 컨텐츠를 구현하고 이를 제품 매뉴얼 제작에 응용한다. 여기에서, 보다 사실적이고 사용자와의 상호작용이 가능한 Web3D 매뉴얼을 쉽고 빠르게 구현하는 방법을 제시한다. 이것은 기존의 Web3D 컨텐츠 저작도구들이 가진 문제점을 보완한다. 따라서 용량을 최소화하고, 구현 과정을 축소하여 제작 시간을 줄이며, 별도 EAI(External Authoring Interface)의 연계 없이 자바 스크립트를 사용하여 쉽게 상호작용이 가능한 컨텐츠를 구현 할 수 있다.

  • A major cause of missing permanent incisors is congenital abscence and extraction because of trauma and pathologic condition. The request for restoration of missing or spaced anterior teeth is common in dental practice. Problems, such as the tilting, drifting, and rotation of teeth adjacent to the space, complicate the restoration of apperance, and a normally simple restorative dental procedure may become difficult. There are two primary treatment alternatives to improving a dentition's irregular and spaced apperance-closing the space by orthodontic means or providing a prosthesis to disguise the space. The treatment choice depends on many variables, but, as a general rule, patients with a normal overbite, overjet, and buccal relationship are better treated by maintaining the sapce and providing a prosthesis, either fixed or removable. This case report presents two cases : Traumatic loss of maxillary right and left central incisors, Extraction of malformed mandibular right central inciosr. The loss of central incisor space was regained by the fixed-removable and fixed orthodontic appliance, and then Maryland bridge was cemented.

해수순환모델에 대한 최적화 방법 (An Optimization Approach to the Wind-driven Ocean Circulation Model)

  • 최적해(optimal solution)를 구하는 최적화기법이 정방해양의 해수순환을 기술하는 간단한 유한차분모델에 대한 부정확한 외력 및 입력 자료 문제에 적용되어짐을 보였다. 수학적 절차는 추정된 자료 및 간단한 순압성 해수순환모델(wind-driven ocean circulation model)을 이용하여 공액경사법에 의한 최적화 방법에 기초하였다. 해는 부정확성 작용에 제약조건을 적용한 목적함수(objective function)를 최적화함으로써 발견되어지며, 이에 대한 부가제약조건(additional constraints) 수의 영향을 살펴보았다.

  • This paper evaluates nonlinear response characteristics of precast concrete frame buildings. where plastics hinging occurs in the precast connection. Designs were developed for buildings of 5, 10 and 15 stories in hight for moderate seismic risk regions of the U. S. The responses of the buildings were analyzed using DRAIN-2DX and following Nonlinear static analysis procedure of ATC 19. The main variables of the analyses were the strength and stiffness of the connection. Also, for the analysis, the bi-linear response model, developed and inserted into the DRAIN-2DX program by Shan Shi and D. Fouch, was used. With the results of analysis, the deformation demands of the connection of precast concrete frame buildings are proposed by using equal-dissipated energy capacity. It was shown that the strength of the buildings as well as their displacement capacities decreased with the decrease of either the strength or stiffness in the connections. Therefore such changes also require reductions in the response modification factors for such buildings. However, if the precast concrete frame building has plastic hinging in the connection, and has a more ductile connection than the monolithic frame building, then no reduction in R may be necessary. The deformation demand required of the connection to achieve that condition is evaluated and a simple relation is suggested in the paper.
