One of the principal impediments to the achievement of a scalable access control for a large number of subscribers in a public broadcast is to distribute key update messages reliably to all stateless receivers. However, in a public broadcast, the rekeying messages can be dropped or compromised during the transmission over an insecure broadcast channel, or transmitted to the receivers while it was off-line. In this study, we propose a novel group key management scheme that features a mechanism that allows the legitimate receivers to recover the current group key even if they lose key update messages for long-term sessions using short hint messages and member computation. The performance analysis result shows that the proposed scheme has advantages of the scalable and efficient rekeying compared with the previous reliable group key distribution schemes. The proposed key management scheme targets a conditional access system in a media broadcast where there is no feedback channel from receivers to the broadcasting station.
Purpose: The aim of the study was to identify the effects of education from using cellular phones and a short messaging service. Methods: Collected data included baseline demographics, blood pressure, abdominal circumference, total cholesterol, body mass index and health behavior index (Dietary Practice Guidelines Score, Physical Activity, Drinking frequency, Stress score, Subjective health status, and Action change stage score). Analysis was divided into health risk group and Disease management group, using a paired t test. Results: Following the education of using short messaging service of cellular phones Health risk group was a reduction in the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, waist circumference. Disease management group was a reduction in the systolic blood pressure and body mass index. In both groups, there were improvement in the Health behavior index; dietary practice guidelines score, physical activity, stress score, subjective health status and action change stage scores. Conclusion: These results indicated that education using short messaging service of cellular phone for Community was effective in improving health behaviors and status. By applying the results, development of customized teaching messages for stable settlement is required.
This paper presents a method for clustering short text documents, such as news headlines, social media statuses, or instant messages. Due to the characteristics of these documents, which are usually short and sparse, an appropriate technique is required to discover hidden knowledge. The objective of this paper is to identify the combination of document representation, document distance, and document clustering that yields the best clustering quality. Document representations are expanded by external knowledge sources represented by a Distributed Representation. To cluster documents, a K-means partitioning-based clustering technique is applied, where the similarities of documents are measured by word mover's distance. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, experiments were conducted to compare the clustering quality against several leading methods. The proposed method produced clusters of documents that resulted in higher precision, recall, F1-score, and adjusted Rand index for both real-world and standard data sets. Furthermore, manual inspection of the clustering results was conducted to observe the efficacy of the proposed method. The topics of each document cluster are undoubtedly reflected by members in the cluster.
Recently, digital advertising has shifted towards delivering messages through short ads of less than 15 seconds, and on social media, ads need to convey the message within 5 seconds before consumers skip them. Although the length of advertisements has decreased, advancements in artificial intelligence algorithms and big data analysis have made it possible to deliver personalized messages that cater to consumers' interests. In this changing landscape, the importance of delivering tailored messages through short and efficient ads is increasing. In this study, we examined the effects of message framing as part of effective message delivery. Specifically, we examined the differences in the effects of two framings, "health" and "environment," for vegan products. The growing consumer interest in health and the environment has elevated the interest in vegan products, and the vegan market is expanding rapidly. Consumers purchase vegan products not only for personal health benefits but also due to their ethical responsibility towards the environment, which can be considered ethical consumption. Previous research has not shown the differences in the effects between health and environment message framings, and the research has been limited to vegan food products. This study investigates the differences in the effects of health and environment message framings using a dish soap product category. By identifying which advertising messages, either health or environment, are more effective in promoting vegan products, this study provides insights for companies to enhance their message framing strategies effectively.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a short message service intervention on adherence to maximal barrier precautions (MBP) and catheter-related blood stream infections. Method: The data were collected from March to September, 2008, at an 826-bed university-affiliated hospital in Daejeon. The study participants were 24 physicians who were inserting central catheters and 133 patients (control group 78 and intervention group 55) with central catheter insertions. The researcher sent the message (adherence to MBP and optimal recommendations) to each internal medicine doctor using the short message service (SMS) for cellular phones. Messages were sent monthly for 3 months. Data were analyzed by chi-square test and t-test using SPSS 12.0 windows program. Result: Adherence to maximal barrier precautions was significantly increased from 44.9% to 69.1% (p=.006) after the SMS intervention. But changes in the rate of CRBSI (catheter related blood stream infection) between the intervention group (1.89) and the control group (4.45) were not significant (p=.323). Conclusions: The results indicate that the SMS intervention is effective in increasing the adherence to maximal barrier precautions and the SMS intervention can be recommended for utilization in infection control nursing practice.
We have designed an embedded controller for the control of a diesel generator using an embedded system. The generator is monitored and controlled remotely via the internet in real-time. The proposed digital controller is designed to handle precisely the distortions and noises of the signals emanating from the diesel generator, and enables abnormal operation of the diesel generator to be notified to the remote manager using the Short Message Service (SMS) of the Internet, which enables the appropriate personnel to take action by remote control according to the incoming messages.

This study describes the realtime monitoring system for water quality conditions in coastal waters. Some issues on the data qualify control and quality analysis are examined along with examples of erroneous data. Three different cases of database produced by the realtime monitoring system are presented and analyzed, namely 1) hypoxic condition, 2) over-saturated D.O. and 3) short-term variability of temperature and D.O. In utilizing the realtime database, D.O. prediction and warning models are developed based on autoregressive stochastic process. The model is very simple, yet, users in various levels from powerful and useful with its ability to send warning messages to users in varous levels from governmental administrative staff to local fisherman, and give them some allowances to cope with the situation.

The main challenge in building efficient broadcast systems is to encrypt messages with short ciphertexts. In this paper, we present a new construction based on the identity. Our construction contains the desirable features, such as constant size ciphertexts and private keys, short public keys and not fixing the total number of possible users in the setup. In addition, the proposed scheme achieves the full security which is stronger than the selective-identity security. Furthermore we show that the proof of security does not rely on the random oracles. To the best our knowledge, it is the first efficient scheme that is full security and achieves constant size ciphertexts and private keys which solve the trade-off between the ciphertext size and the private key size.

Many standard methods are used for secret text files and secrete short messages cryptography, these methods are efficient when the text to be encrypted is small, and the efficiency will rapidly decrease when increasing the text size, also these methods sometimes have a low level of security, this level will depend on the PK length and sometimes it may be hacked. In this paper, a new method will be introduced to improve the data protection level by using a changeable secrete speech file to generate PK. Highly Secure Data Encryption (HSDE) method will be implemented and tested for data quality levels to ensure that the HSDE destroys the data in the encryption phase, and recover the original data in the decryption phase. Some standard methods of data cryptography will be implemented; comparisons will be done to justify the enhancements provided by the proposed method.
