환원분철을 이용한 마찰재의 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance of Friction Materials using Reduced Iron)

  • 브레이크 마찰재의 구성성분 중 기존에 사용되던 무기 충진재인 $BaSO_4$ 대신에 고로슬러지와 그 산화철에 일련의 환원과정을 행하여 얻은 환원분철을 10%, 20%, 30%씩 첨가하면서 몇 종류의 마찰재를 제작하였다. 이 마찰재들에 대해 기본 물성시험, 브레이크 다이마모미터를 사용한 마찰성능 시험 등을 행하였다. 그리고 고가의 충진재인 $BaSO_4$를 환원분철로 대체하여 마찰재에 첨가한 경우, 발열온도, 마모 등의 마찰특성이 우수한 환원분철의 첨가량은 10%이었다. 고로슬러지나 환원분철 시편에서 고로슬러지와 환원분철의 첨가량이 증가할수록 마찰재의 전단강도와 접착강도는 감소하나 모두 마찰재로서의 적용에는 충분한 강도를 나타내었다.

  • Compaction Grouting Pack (CGP) Anchor which is composite anchor of bearing plus friction-type was chosen and executed for the open-cuts in soft ground. This paper presents an analysis of data from tests on composite-anchor by jacking force. The properties of composite-anchor was presented to be as follows , the maximum plastic displacement was 60 mm in abandoned coal fill deposit, the shear stress($\tau$) is expressed as $\tau$ = (equation omitted) kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ in clayey silt.

베인에 작용하는 수평응력과 토크를 이용한 모래의 마찰각 측정 (Measurement of Friction Angle of Sand from Horizontal Stress and Torque Acting on Vane)

  • 본 연구에서는 베인에 작용하는 수평응력과 토크를 측정한 다음 이를 이용하여 모래의 마찰각을 구하는 연구를 수행하였다. 건조한 낙동강모래를 원통형 셀에 느슨하거나 조밀한 상태로 성형한 다음 상부에서 공기압 실린더로 상재하중(overburden pressure)을 25, 50, 75 또는 100kPa 가하여 베인(직경 5cm, 높이 10cm) 회전 시 주변에 작용하는 수평응력과 토크를 실시간으로 측정하였다. 베인 회전에 따른 최대 토크값은 느슨한 모래는 3.5~9.5Nm, 조밀한 모래는 7.4-17.6Nm 사이로 상재하중이 증가할수록 최대 토크값도 증가하였다. 조밀한 정도에 관계없이 $14-20^{\circ}$ 회전 시 최대 토크값에 도달하였으며, 베인날과 토압계의 초기 위치에 따른 최대값의 차이는 나지 않았다. 상재하중에 따라 베인에 작용하는 초기 수평응력비($K_0$)는 평균 0.33-0.35 사이이며, 베인 회전에 따라 수평응력이 전반적으로 증가하다가 모래 입자가 교란되면서 다시 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 실시간으로 측정된 수평응력과 토크를 이용하여 계산된 마찰각은 상재하중이 증가함에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 느슨한 모래는 직접전단시험 결과와 유사한 마찰각을 보였다. 하지만, 조밀한 모래의 마찰각은 다소 과대평가하는 경향을 보였다.

난류전단(亂流剪斷) 흐름에서의 정상(定常) 수평(水平) 선오염원(線汚染源)의 확산(擴散) (Diffusion of a Steady Horizontal Line Source in a Turbulent Shear Flow)

  • 정상 2차원 이송확산(移送擴散) 방정식의 수치해석에 의하여 난류전단(亂流剪斷) 흐름에서의 정상(定常) 수평(水平) 선오염원(線汚染源)의 확산(擴散)을 모의하였다. 유속과 난류확산계수(亂流擴散係數)의 수심에 따른 변화가 없을 경우에 대한 해석해와 비교한 결과, 일정 유속 및 난류확산계수(亂流擴散係數)를 가정할 경우 수심방향 확산(擴散)을 과대평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 무차원화된 지배방정식에 따르면 수심방향 확산(擴散)을 지배하는 물리적 변수는 마찰계수(摩擦係數)뿐이다. 마찰계수(摩擦係數)에 대한 확산과정의 민감도(敏感度) 분석(分析)으로부터 수심방향 확산속도(擴散速度)는 대략 마찰계수(摩擦係數)의 제곱근에 비례함을 알 수 있었다. 오염원(汚染源)의 초기 방류위치에 따른 민감도(敏感度) 분석(分析) 결과, 가장 신속한 수심 방향 확산(擴散)을 가져오는 최적의 방류위치는 수심의 중간정보다 위쪽이며, 마찰계수(摩擦係數)가 커질수록 그 위치가 수면쪽에 가까와지는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The evolution of strain states and textures during rolling with various conditions was investigated by finite element method (FEM) simulations and measurements of rolling textures. Symmetrical rolling with a high friction gives rise to a strong variation of shear strains in rolled sample leading to the formation of texture gradients throughout the thickness layers. A small variation of shear strains during rolling with a well lubrication condition leads to the formation of a fairly homogeneous rolling texture throughout the sheet thickness. During asymmetrical rolling, a proper control of rolling parameters provides the evolution of a fairly homogeneous shear texture throughout the whole sheet thickness.

3차원 절삭에서 표면환경이 절삭기구에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Surface Environment on the Mechanism in Oblique Cutting)

  • The object of the study is to discuss the effect of magic ink as a surface active substance on the mechanism of chip formation in oblique cutting. The Rehbinder effect has been known as a phenomenon that the mechanical strength reduces when the metal is coated with some surface active substances. In order to interpret these surface effects defined by Rehbinder, the influence on the shear strength of shear plane by coating surface active substances, cutting force by the depth of cut, surface roughness and hardness ratio were observed. The results are as follows: 1. By coating the magic ink on free surface of the forming chip, the effective shear angle increases, and the cuttinbg force and the deformed chip thickness decreases. 2. With the large inclination angle the effective shear angle increases, and the specific cutting force and the friction angle decrease. 3. Cutting of the coated surface improves the surface roughness and the hardness ratio drops, which means another Rehbinder effect.

알루미늄 AA 1050 판재구속전단가공 시 불균질 집합조직 형성의 해석 (Analysis on Inhomogeneous Textures Developed in Aluminum AA 1050 Sheets during Continuous Confined Strip Shearing)

  • The continuous confined strip shearing (CCSS) based on the equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) was modeled by means of a rigid-plastic two-dimensional finite element method (FEM). Parallel to the simulations, samples of AA 1050 sheets were experimentally deformed by CCSS. The CCSS deformation led to the formation of through thickness texture gradients comprising a strong shear texture in the sheet center and weak shear textures in the sheet surfaces. FEM analysis revealed variations in the strain component $\varepsilon_13$ along the sample thickness direction, which gave rise to the evolution of different textures. A high friction between the sample and die surface was responsible for lowering intensities of the shear texture components in thickness layers close to the surfaces.

  • A permanent deformation model was developed in this study based on the shear properties of asphalt mixtures such as cohesion and friction angle. Triaxial compressive strength (TCS) and repeated load permanent deformation (RLPD) tests on the three types of asphalt mixtures are performed at various loading and temperature conditions to correlate shear properties of asphalt mixtures to rutting performance. It is observed from the tests results that the ratio of shear stress to strength accurately identifies the mixture rutting performance. It could take care of not only mixture types but also load and temperature conditions dependences. Three different versions of the permanent deformation model based on different input levels are proposed and verified using the tests data. The proposed model based on the ratio of shear stress to strength can successfully predict the permanent deformation of various asphalt mixtures all the way up to the 10% of permanent strain including all three stages of permanent deformation in a wide range of loading and temperature conditions without changing model coefficients.

  • Symmetrical and asymmetrical rolling was performed in AA 1050 sheets. Asymmetrical rolling was carried out by using different roll velocities of upper and lower rolls. The effect of the reduction per rolling pass on the formation of textures and microstructures during symmetrical and asymmetrical rolling was studied. In order to intensify the shear deformation, symmetrical and asymmetrical rolling was carried out without lubrication. The strain states associated with rolling were investigated by simulations with the finite element method (FEM). A fairly homogeneous residual shear strain throughout the sheet thickness was observed after asymmetrical rolling. Symmetrical rolling with a high friction gave rise to a strong net shear strain gradient in the sheet thickness.

강재매입형 합성기둥의 합성작용에 관한 실험 (Experiments on the Composite Action of Steel Encased Composite Column)

  • Steel encased composite columns have been used for buildings and piers of bridges. Since column section for pier is relatively larger than that of building columns, economical steel ratio need to be investigated for the required performance. Composite action between concrete and embedded steel sections can be obtained by bonding and friction. However, the behavior. of the column depends on the load introduction mechanism. Compression can be applied to concrete section, steel section and composite section. In this paper, experiments on shear strength of the steel encased composite column were performed to study the effect of confinement by transverse reinforcements, mechanical interlock by holes, and shear connectors. Shear strength obtained from the tests showed considerably higher than the design value. Confinement, mechanical interlock and stud connectors increased the shear strength and these values can be used effectively to obtain composite action of SRC columns.
