  • For efficient spectral utilization of satellite channels, a shared band transmission technique is introduced in this paper. A satellite transmits multiple received signals from a gateway and terminal in the common frequency band by superimposing the signals. To improve the power efficiency as well as the spectral efficiency, a travelling wave tube amplifier in the satellite should operate near the saturation level. This causes a nonlinear distortion of the superimposed transmit signal. Without mitigating this nonlinear effect, the self-interference cannot be properly cancelled and the desired signal cannot be demodulated. Therefore, an adaptive compensation scheme for nonlinearity is herein proposed with the proper operation scenario. It is shown through simulations that the proposed shared band transmission approach with nonlinear compensation and self-interference cancellation can achieve an acceptable system performance in nonlinear satellite channels.

  • This paper analyzes the impact of the satellite TWTA non-linearity charateristics for shared band transmission technology to improve spectral efficiency in satellite communication system. In shared band transmission technology for star network, a hub and terminals use same frequency band. In order to receive terminals's signal a hub have to remove the its own DVB-S2 carrier. In this paper the non-linearity impact of satellite TWTA is analyzed for self-interference cancellation.

  • In this paper, a shared band transmission, in which downlink signals from satellite to both earth station and user terminal are transmitted in the same frequency band, is considered. For proper operation of such shared band transmission, self-interference caused by the transmitted signal from its own transmitter should be cancelled and the desired signal from the other transmitter should be obtained. The self-interference is sent by its own transmitter and it can be easily regenerated with the estimated round-trip delay. In addition to this delay, non-linearity effects caused by power amplifiers at the earth station and satellite should be exploited. The proposed interference canceller divided into two parts: one is subtraction of the transmitted signal with delay and non-linearity effects, and the other is adoptive filter to suppressed the residual interference. Through computer simulations, the effectiveness of the proposed system is verified.

  • Electric-field coupled power transfer (ECPT) systems have been proposed as an alternative wireless power transfer (WPT) technology in recent years. With the use of capacitive plates as a coupling structure, ECPT systems have many advantages such as design flexibility, reduced volume of the coupling structure and metal penetration ability. In addition, wireless communications are effective solutions to improve the safety and controllability of ECPT systems. This paper proposes a power and signal shared channel for electric-field coupled power transfer systems. The shared channel includes two similar electrical circuits with a band pass filter and a signal detection resistor in each. This is designed based on the traditional current-fed push-pull topology. An analysis of the mutual interference between the power and signal transmission, the channel power and signal attenuations, and the dynamic characteristic of the signal channel are conducted to determine the values for the electrical components of the proposed shared channel. Experimental results show that the designed channel can transfer over 100W of output power and data with a data rate from 300bps to 120 kbps.

  • In this paper, A compact ultra-wideband(UWB) bandpass filter(BPF) with WLAN notched filter has been proposed. H-shared slot is studied and adopted to tighten the coupling of inter-digital capacitor in order to improve the BPF's performance. Three pairs of tapered defected ground structures(DGS) are formed to assign their transmission zeros towards the out of band signal, thereby suppressing the spurious passband. Also Meander line slot is de#eloped to reject the undesired wireless local-area network(WLAN) radio signals. That's combining these three structures we obtain a small sized UWB BPF.

  • We make an interference analysis to obtain a critical ctiteria for coexisting availability of WLAN and WiBro between adjacent channels can be used in TVWS(TV White Space). To meet this analysis, we set the various transmission parameters including the emission and blocking mask, antenna height and gain, transmission power and bandwidth, channel model etc. And, based on these parameters, we analyze on performances according to a variation of guard band, a number of service user and allowable transmit power of the user operating in the adjacent channels. In this paper, we consider a urban environment and apply a Extended Hata-SRD for WLAN and an interference link and Extended Hata model for WiBro, respectively. With these results, we can see how each system can be shared in an adjacent channel.

  • A universal shipborne automatic identification system(AIS) uses self-organised time division multiple access(SOTDMA). The performance evaluation system of the SOTDMA algorithm for AIS is needed to implement it efficiently. This paper shows the method of designing it. Real ships access the VHF maritime mobile band but in this performance system, several ship objects access the shared memory. Real ships are designed as the object and the wireless communication channel is designed as the shared memory. This system shows several stations are assigned the transmission slot by the SOTDMA algorithm

  • Fine structural characteristics of the cardiac muscle and its sarcomere organization in the black widow spider, Latrodectus mactans were examined using transmission electron microscopy. The arrangement of cardiac muscle fibers was quite similar to that of skeletal muscle fibers, but they branched off at the ends and formed multiple connections with adjacent cells. Each cell contained multiple myofibrils and an extensive dyadic sarcotubular system consisting of sarcoplasmic reticulum and T-tubules. Thin and thick myofilaments were highly organized in regular repetitive arrays and formed contractile sarcomeres. Each repeating band unit of the sarcomere had three apparent striations, but the H-zone and M-lines were not prominent. Myofilaments were arranged into distinct sarcomeres defined by adjacent Z-lines with relatively short lengths of $2.0{\mu}m$ to $3.3{\mu}m$. Cross sections of the A-band showed hexagon-like arrangement of thick filaments, but the orbit of thin filaments around each thick filament was different from that seen in other vertebrates. Although each thick filament was surrounded by 12 thin filaments, the filament ratio of thin and thick myofilaments varied from 3:1 to 5:1 because thin filaments were shared by adjacent thick filaments.

  • In this paper, we consider designing a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) overlay system for fixed MIMO wireless link, where a frequency flat narrowband channel is shared by multiple transmitter and receiver pairs. Assuming the perfect knowledge of the second-order statistics of the received legacy signals and the composite channels from the overlay transmitter to the legacy receivers, the jointly optimal linear precoder and decoder matrices of the MIMO overlay system is derived to minimize the total mean squared error (MSE) of the data symbol vector, subject to total average transmission power and zero interference induced to legacy MIMO systems already existing in the frequency band of interest. Furthermore, the necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of the optimal solution is also derived.
