Bipartite Matching을 이용한 강인한 캐릭터 영상 검색 방법 (Robust Character Image Retrieval Method Using Bipartite Matching)

  • 본 논문에서는 다양하게 변화되는 캐릭터 영상을 색상과 형태의 정보를 포함한 국부 색상 분포(local color histogram)를 이용하여 유사도 검색을 하는 강인한 방법을 제안한다. 국부 색상 분포의 값을 양자화 하여 특징 값을 최적화하고, 대규모 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 영상정보와 Bipartite matching을 이용하여 검색한다. 제안되는 방법은 다양하게 변화되는 영상의 유사도 검색, 동영상 및 정지 영상에서 유사 영상 검색에 매우 효과적인 방법이다.

  • 지리정보 수집 기술이 발전함에 따라 서로 불일치하는 데이터베이스를 통합하는 작업이 점차 중요하게 떠오르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 도로 네트워크 데이터를 대상으로 하여, 서로 다른 특성을 가진 두 데이터셋의 노드 사이의 매칭 관계를 찾아내기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 노드의 위치 뿐 아니라 그에 연결된 링크의 형상 정보를 활용하여 대응하는 노드 쌍을 찾아내었고, 그에 따라 매칭 정확도가 향상되는 것을 확인하였다. 이 결과를 이용하여, 뒤이어 링크 매칭을 수행할 때 위상 정보를 반영할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

형상 정합을 통한 변환 파라미터 추출 (Estimation of transformation parameters using shape matching)

  • Image registration is concerned with the establishment of correspondence between images of the same scene with translational, rotational, and scaling differences. The estimated transformation parameters between images are very important information in the field of many applications. In this paper, we propose a shape matching scheme for finding correspondence points for images with various differences, Tranditional solutions to this area are unreliable for the rotational and schaling changes between images, and the feature extraction of partially occluded scene. To solve those problems, dominant points on digital curves are detected by scale-space filtering, and initial matching is performed by similarity measure of cumulative curvatures for dominant points. For initial matching segments pairs, optimal matching points are calculated using dynamic programming.Finally, transformation parameters are estimated.

  • This investigation presents a method to design an optimal shape of a matching waveguide connecting two waveguides having different impedances. The design objective is to maximize power transmission through the waveguide system. When an incident wave impinges on an elastic waveguide system consisting of waveguides of different impedances, all of the incident wave power may not pass through due to the mechanical impedance. Therefore, the maximization of the transmitted power through a waveguide difficult to achieve without a systematic design method. In this work, the optimal shape design of a matching waveguide connecting two waveguides of different impedances is formulated as a shape optimization problem. If the material of the matching waveguide is given, its shape is the only parameter controlling the transmission power. Relatively simple one dimensional elastic wave transmission problems will be considered in this work, but the underlying methodology and the related physics can be clearly demonstrated. The influences of initial configurations as well as the target frequencies on the optimized shapes will be also investigated.

한국인과 연길 거주 조선족의 체질별 체형 비교 연구(Propensity Score Matching을 활용하여) (A Comparison for Constitutional Body Type between Korean and Chinese-Korean - Using Propensity Score Matching -)

  • Objectives The body shape was a key information for diagnosing the Sasang constitution (SC) in Sasang constitutional medicine. The aim of this study was to compare the body shapes and mainly focusing on the Korean and Chinese-KoreanMethods We calculated the propensity score for each SC type in males and females separately, and compared body shape including 8 circumference and 5 width between Korean and Chinese-Korean according to the sex and SC.Results Koreans have larger trunk and hip area compared to Chinese-Koreans, while Chinese-Koreans have larger abdomen compared with Koreans. Most variables were significantly different among SC types, for both Korean and Chinese-Korean. Especially, the Taeumin (TE) type has the largest body shape compared with the other SC types, it was similar between Korean and Chinese-Korean.Conclusions This study showed that the TE type has the largest body shape, followed by Soyangin (SY) and Soeumin (SE) in order, for both Korean and Chinese-Korean respectively. These results suggests that the body shape of Chinese-Korean is similar with Korean based on SC type.

기하학적 패턴 매칭을 이용한 3차원 비전 검사 알고리즘 (3D Vision Inspection Algorithm using Geometrical Pattern Matching Method)

  • We suggest a 3D vision inspection algorithm which is based on the external shape feature. Because many electronic parts have the regular shape, if we have the database of pattern and can recognize the object using the database of the object s pattern, we can inspect many types of electronic parts. Our proposed algorithm uses the geometrical pattern matching method and 3D database on the electronic parts. We applied our suggested algorithm fer inspecting several objects including typical IC and capacitor. Through the experiments, we could find that our suggested algorithm is more effective and more robust to the inspection environment(rotation angle, light source, etc.) than conventional 2D inspection methods. We also compared our suggested algorithm with the feature space trajectory method.

물체의 면 반사특성 추정과 측광정합을 이용한 3차원 형상복구 (Estimation of surface reflectance properties and 3D shape recovery using photometric matching)

  • In this paper we propose a new method for anlayzing the properties of surface reflectance and reconstructing the shape of object using estimated reflectance parameters. We have investigated the hybrid reflectance surface which has specularreflection and diffuse reflection, which can be explained by Torrance-Sparrow model. Sample sphere made on one maerial is used to estimate the reflectance properties by using LMS algorithm. We can make the reference image which consists of surface normal and brightness value using estimated reflectance parameters, and thenarbitrary shape object made of the same material as sample can be reconstructed by matching with reference image. Photometric matching method proposed in this paper is robust because it mateches object image with the reference imageconsidering its neighbor brightness distribution. Also, in this paper plate diffuse illumination is used to remove intensity disparity with simple scheme. It is expected that the proposed algorithm can be applied to 3D recognition, vision inspection system and other fields.

  • This paper proposes a measurement method for the surface shape of micro-parts by using an atomic force microscope(AFM). To this end, two techniques are presented: First, the measurement range is expanded by using an image matching method based on correlation coefficients. To account for the inaccuracy of the coarse stage implemented in AFM, the image matching technique is applied to two neighboring images intentionally overlapped with each other. Second, a method to measure the shape of relatively large specimen is proposed that utilizes the inherent trigger mechanism due to the atomic force. The proposed methods are proved effective through a series of experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상 내의 객체의 형태(shape)에 기반한 객체 유사성 매칭(matching) 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법에서는 객체의 윤곽선(edge)에서 점들(edge points)을 추출하고, 추출된 점들의 위치 관계를 나타내기 위하여 각 점을 기준으로 로그 원형 히스토그램(log polar histogram)을 생성하였다. 객체의 윤곽을 따라가며 각 점에 대한 원형 히스토그램을 순차적으로 비교함으로써 객체간의 매칭이 이루어지며, 데이타베이스로부터 유사한 객체를 검색하기 위하여 사용한 매칭 방식은 널리 알려진 k-NN(nearest neighbor) 질의 방식을 사용하였다. 제안한 방법을 검증하기 위하여 기존의 형태 문맥 기법(Shape Context method)과 제안한 방법을 비교하였으며, 객체 유사성 매칭 실험에서 k=5일 때 기존 방법의 정확도가 0.37, 제안한 방법이 0.75-0.90이며, k=10일 때 기존 방법이 0.31, 제안한 방법이 0.61-0.80로서 기존의 방법에 비해 정확한 매칭 결과를 보여 주었다. 또한 영상의 회전 변형 실험에서 기존 방법의 정확도가 0.30, 제안한 방법이 0.69로서 기존 방법보다 회전 변형에 강인한(robust) 특성을 가짐을 관찰할 수 있었다.

적응공명이론에 의한 자동 부분형상 인식시스템 (Automatic partial shape recognition system using adaptive resonance theory)

  • A new method for recognizing and locating partially occluded or overlapped two-dimensional objects regardless of their size, translation, and rotation, is presented. Dominant points approximating occuluding contoures of objects are generated by finding local maxima of smoothed k-cosine function, and then used to guide the contour segment matching procedure. Primitives between the dominant points are produced by projecting the local contours onto the line between the dominant points. Robust classification of primitives. Which is crucial for reliable partial shape matching, is performed using adaptive resonance theory (ART2). The matched primitives having similar scale factors and rotation angles are detected in the hough space to identify the presence of the given model in the object scene. Finally the translation vector is estimated by minimizing the mean squred error of the matched contur segment pairs. This model-based matching algorithm may be used in diveerse factory automation applications since models can be added or changed simply by training ART2 adaptively without modifying the matching algorithm.
