  • Many Victims and property damage are caused in fires. In this paper, an flame detection algorithm is proposed to early alarm fires. The proposed flame detection algorithm is based on 2-stage decision strategy of video processing. The first decision is to check with color distribution of input vidoe. In the second, the candidated region is settled as fire region with activity. As a result of simulation, it is shown that the proposed algorithm is useful for fire recognition.

  • Dampers which being installad in air duct are Valume damper, fire damper, leakage rated damper, but among them fire damper and leakage rated damper are used for preventing the spread of flame, hot gas and smoke through the duct. this report is aimed to intorduce the test example of the multiple fire damper which was conducted F.I.L.K, simuetaneously to investigate the performent standards and Structure of the fire damper which settled in several countries.

  • We have been recognize the adaptation of JIT(Just-in-Time) production system is necessary to improve the constitution of enterprises. But this system is not settled in our industrial environment owing to misunderstanding of JIT concepts and lack of participation all members of the oranization. This paper deals with systematic application of the JIT subsystems such as U-form layout, flexible workforces with multi- functional skilled workers and adjustment of standard operations procedures. And a successful productivity improvement case study of a small and medium sized industry was dealt.

  • Transgenic animal technology has provided new opportunities in many aspects of biotechnology and medicine during two decades. Several gene delivery systems including pronuclear injection, retroviral vectors, sperm vectors, and somatic cell cloning have been tried to generate new functional animals. In the future somatic cell cloning technology will be a major method in the transgenic animal production. Many factors enhancing overall transgenic efficiency should be overcome to facilitate the industrial applications of transgenic technology. Transgenic animal technology has settled down in some areas of the medicine, especially the mass production of pharmaceutical proteins and xenotransplantation. Thus, animal biotechnology will contribute to welfare of human being.

  • The deregulation of energy market, together with structure reorganization of vertically integrated companies in electrical utility requires efficient and reliable substation automation system.   • As sports infiltrates each field of modern society and becomes familiar, sports wear was changed functionally and was introduced and enveloped into everyday dress. Modern sports wear has been the settled in everyday life deeply and become the clothes of life which are worn regardless of place, time and age. The aim of this paper was to clarify what kind of fashion of sports style would be given to the modern people. In this study, sports wear which has become everyday dress classified from a gender point of view. It was divided into masculine image, feminine image, and neutral image. Sports wear of masculine image generated a silhouette which emphasized the shoulder with the aspiration for youth and health. Wide shoulder was considered as the symbol of masculine beauty and the expression of healthy beauty. It was reflected well in body conscious look. And owing to the development of up-to-data materials, innovation of design, and the study of human body technology, the functional character was settled in the sports wear which showed masculine image. Sports wear of feminine image was represented fashion of body exposure, body feet with body conscious look, and romantic mode. This image was expressed fashion as comforts, pleasant, active design, materials, color, and romantic feminine beauty. Sports wear of neutral image was expressed into unisex clothes. This cloths have no difference in gender, age, and class. It was used as casual sports wear. In the 1960s, young generation participated in such street sports as street basketball and skate. They usually sore the sports wears of neutral image such as cycling, skating, and ski. In the materials of sports, the development of up-to-data material like lycra made the sayings lifelike, “up-to-data material is the second skin” It show that glamorous feminine image and strong masculine image coexisted. The contemporary concept of sportswear is no longer limited to those clothes for sports found in such places like tennis court or swimming pool. Now, the sports wear become more like casual activity wear all classes of people can enjoy in their life regardless of where they are, when they wear, and even how old they are.

  • The ultrafashionable machinery that require high quality electricity power has been daily come into being. Because domestic power system has been larger and more complicated in accordance with raising power demand by power market requirement. Because of these power market situations, The FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission System) which is power transmission system for the next generation to meet flexible supply the power and reliability has been applied. If they, compensators and FACTS, are used inter-efficiently in range that does not affect the stability and a badly influence the security, they might be increase in the voltage stability of system, supply reliability and also achieve the voltage control in a suddenly changed power system. Therefore we describe and suggest on this treatise that a plan for coordination control between UPFC, Shunt elements (Sh. Capacitors & Sh. Reactors) among compensators and also describe the method to keep or control the voltage of power system in allowable ranges. The method follows that, we used characteristics of each equipment, UPFC would be also settled to keep the identified voltage range in change of load bus, Shunt elements also would be settled to supply the reactive power shortage in out of operating range of UPFC to cope actively with change of the power system. As the result of simulation, it is possible to keep the load bus voltage in limited range in spite of broad load range condition. This helps greatly for the improvements of supply reliability and voltage stability.

입학사정관제 전형 입학생의 대학적응과 진로에 관한 고찰 (A Study on University Adaptation and Career of College Students Chosen by Admissions Officers System)

  • 이 논문에서 우리는 입학사정관제가 잘 정착되어지고 있는지를 알고자 한다. 이를 위해 입학사정관제도와 기존의 입학제도로 입학한 학생들 사이에 학교생활 만족도, 학업성취도, 졸업 후 진로의 세 가지 영역에 대해 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구는 2016년 4월 기준으로 졸업한 09학번과 10학번들 중에서 세가지 영역에 대한 자료를 모두 가지고 있는 404명을 대상으로 평균차이검정과 카이제곱 검정으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 입학사정관제로 입학한 학생들은 세 가지 영역에서 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 졸업 후 진로에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학업성취도였으며, 학업성취도는 입학사정관제 선발 유무와는 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 2008년부터 입학사정관제 선도대학으로 선정되어 지속적으로 시행한 H대학이 그동안 입학사정관 제도를 성공적으로 정착시켰다고 볼 수 있다.

  • 멸치는 남해안에서는 여러 단계의 크기의 것이 혼획되는데, 가다랭이 미끼용으로는 채장 6-7m의 것이 알맞으므로, 이 크기의 것을 가급적 언중 확보하기 위해서는, 그 분포상을 조사하여 적정 자원이 가장 많이 출현하는 해역을 알 필요가 있다. 또, 멸치의 크기에 따라 상품가치도 크게 다르므로 멸치 어업을 합리적으로 운영하기 위해서나, 자원의 관리를 위해서도 채장 조사는 중요하다. 여기서는 멸치어업이 주로 이루어지는 7월부터 12월의 한국 동남 해역에 있어서의 멸치의 분포상에 관하여 조사한 것을 보고한다

The Progress of Fast Reactor Technology Development in China

  • China, as a developing country with a great number of population and relatively less energy resources, reasonably emphasizes the nuclear energy utilization development. For the long term sustainable energy supply, as for nuclear application the basic strategy of PWR-FBR-Fusion has been settled and envisaged. Due to the economy and experience reasons the nuclear power and technology development with a moderate style are kept in China up to now. In China mainland apart from two NPPs with the total capacity of 2.1 GWe in operation, four NPPs are under construction and two NPPs are planned for the Tenth Five Year Plan(2001-2005). Also another one or two NPPs are still in discussion. It could be foreseen that the total nuclear power capacity will reach 8.5GWe before the year 2005 and 14-15 GWe before 2010 respectively. As the first step for the Chinese fast reactor engineering development the 65MWt China Experimental Fast Reactor(CEFR) is under construction. The main components of primary, secondary and tertiary circuits and of fuel handling system have been ordered. The reactor building under construction has reached the top namely 57m above the ground. More than one hundred components and shielding doors have been installed. It is planned that the construction of reactor building with about 40,000$m^2$ floor surface will be completed in the end of the year 2002 and envisaged that the first criticality of the CEFR will be in the end of 2005. The second step of the Chinese fast reactor engineering development is a 300MWe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor which is only under consideration up to now. Some important technical selections have been settled, but its design has not yet started.
