Container terminals at Gwangyang Port are operated by three container operators: A, B and C. Ultimately, there is consensus that a single operator should operate all terminals so that economies of scale can be achieved even in the operation of the container terminal. Integration between operators has a positive effect on both operators and shipping companies. From the operator's point of view, overlapping fixed costs between operators can be unified, reducing overall costs and utilizing spare facilities. On the other hand, from the viewpoint of the shipping company, it is possible to ensure stable use of the port facilities and always allow berthing, reduce days on demurrage and ship waiting, and provide one-stop service for work. However, existing cases of operators' integration or relocation of terminals remained to estimate the expected effects of alternatives, emphasizing only the financial point of view. The port terminal is a large system, and it is important to consider that it is an aggregate of major logistics facilities and equipment. Moreover, if the estimation can be made by quantifying the expected effect, the justification of the terminals' relocation can be further emphasized. Therefore, it is very important to estimate the expected effect from the viewpoint of systemic operation. Moreover, the need for operators' integration can be further emphasized if it can be estimated through quantification of expected effects. Currently, three alternatives are considered as alternatives to the terminals' relocation, and in this study, the optimal plan was derived for the 3 alternatives by the linear planning model of the minimum shuttle transportation cost in the terminal. The optimal plan is alternative 2, which shows the most advantageous integration effect in terms of expected effects. Alternative 2 integrates the B terminal into the C terminal, and the A terminal operates independently as it is.

In this study, we analyzed queue length and sojourn time of discrete-time BMAP/G/1 queues under the workload control. Group customers (packets) with correlations arrive at the system following a discrete-time Markovian arrival process. The server starts busy period when the total service time of the arrived customers exceeds a predetermined workload threshold D and serves customers until the system is empty. From the analysis of workload and waiting time, distributions of queue length at the departure epoch and arbitrary time epoch and system sojourn time are derived. We also derived the mean value as a performance measure. Through numerical examples, we confirmed that we can obtain results represented by complex forms of equations, and we verified the validity of the theoretical values by comparing them with simulation results. From the results, we can obtain key performance measures of complex systems that operate similarly in various industrial fields and to analyze various optimization problems.
Purposes: The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the effect of the attitude of medical staff providing medical services on the treatment satisfaction of the patients who experienced outpatient care at the hospitals and clinics. In particular, it was verified whether the courtesy of the medical staff to the outpatients has moderated the effect of the medical staff's explanation on the treatment satisfaction. Methodology: After controlling the socio-demographic factors of the outpatients with their treatment and waiting time, multiple regression analyses were conducted to figure out the effect of the attitude of the medical staff on the treatment satisfaction. And the covariance analyses were adopted to verify the moderating effect of the variables of the medical staff. Findings: At both hospitals and clinics, all attitudes of medical staff such as the way they explain to and communicate with the patients, and their courtesy showed positive effects on treatment satisfaction. Among them, the courtesy of the medical staff was the most influential variable on the satisfaction of the treatment, and it only had the control power over the effect of the way they explain on the treatment satisfaction. Practical Implication: Among the medical staff's attitudes toward patients at hospital or clinic level, the courtesy of doctors and nurses is an important factor in improving treatment satisfaction. In particular, if the level of their courtesy is low among the medical services rendered at the clinics, the satisfaction level will decrease even if the level of explanation of the medical staff is high. Therefore, in terms of hospital management, treatment satisfaction can be improved when doctors and nurses provide medical services to visitors with polite, humble and friendly manner in explaining to and communicating with the patients.
From the economic point of view the fishing port is the complex of installations on land, organized to serve the fishing fleet and its cargo, and is the main link in the production chain of all components of the fishing industry, with the aim of achieving the planned targets with the minimum cost. Fishing port investment decisions have had significant impact on the development aims of Korean fisheries. Fishing port investments in Korea are made mostly by public or semipublic port authorities. Such investments should be judged not purely on the basis of financial profitability but rather on the extent to which they serve the development aims of the fishing industry. This makes the economic appraisal process more complex and presents certain problems in correctly quantifying the economic costs and benefits of the fishing port projects. This study concentrates more on the theoretical economic appraisal models than on the purely financial aspects of fishing port investments and points out the difference between the two approaches. In the result, there is clearly an element of judgment as to whether or not a shadow price needs to be used in estimating economic benefits and costs. From this viewpoint, some attempts are made to provide definitions of the possible economic benefits and costs, and methods for estimating and evaluating them in Part III and IV. Especially queueing theory is applied in the calculation of economic benefits. When a project is contemplated and analysis shows it to Lave a positive NPV, one question that arises is whether it should be implemented now or delayed. In this paper, the first year rate of return method is regarded as a more concise way of solving the timing of investment, At the end of Part IV, risk analysis of fishing port investments is considered. It can be handled in a number of ways, ranging from informal judgment to complex statistical analyses involving large-scale computer models, This paper recommends that evaluators of fishing port investments use the sensitivity analysis indicating exactly how much NPV will change in response to a given change in an input variable, other things held constant. Decisions regarding the amount of capacity to provide must be made in fishing port investments. Providing too much service would involve excessive capital costs. On the other hand, not providing enough service capacity would cause the waiting line of fishing vessels to become excessively long at times. Therefore, in Part V, the optimal number of berths and berth productivity in fishing port are defined as follows: Minimize E(TC) = E(WC)+E(SC) The minimum of this function is the solution and that is the optimal number of berth and berth productivity in fishing port.
Public transportation is public service that is contributed to the convenience of the public. However, opportunity for public services in rural areas is weaker than the chance in urban areas. The purpose of this study is to evaluate accessibility of various public facilities using public transportation. To evaluate the accessibility, we calculate the various time from community center to the nearest bus stop, walking time, riding time in bus, and waiting time for transfer. The results of this study ares as follows; (1) Villages occupy 19.8% in rural areas that walking time from community center to the nearest bus stop takes over 10 minutes in integrated Chungju-si; (2) The average speed is 21.9 km/hr estimated to departure and arrival time of bus route; (3) The accessibility time from community center using the average bus speed takes 15.43 minutes to public facilities, 35.15 minutes to emergency center, 8.70 minutes to medical center, 9.70 minutes to elementary school, 16.26 minutes to middle school, and 22.61 minutes high school; (4) The transfer time of public transportation takes 13.46, 21.96, 10.48, 7.78, 11.11, 16.10 minutes to public facilities, emergency center, medical center, elementary school, middle school, and high school, respectively; (4) Traffic accessibility using bus vehicles in the East and South Chungju-si is lower than areas in the West and North Chungju-si. Recent examples of abuse by black consumers (including air travellers) against emotional laborers have become a serious social issue in Korea in that they are likely to violate human rights of those laborers. Emotional labor is a form of emotion regulation that creates a publicly visible facial and bodily display, and also emotional management within the workforce that creates a situation in which the emotion management by workers can be exchanged in the marketplace. Example professions that require emotional labor are: nurses, doctors, waiting staff, and television actors. However, as the economy moves from a manufacturing to a service-based economy, many more workers in a variety of occupational fields are expected to manage their emotions according to employer demands when compared to the past. One of symptoms deriving from emotional labor is smile mask syndrome abbreviated SMS, which is a psychological disorder proposed by professor Makoto Natsume where subjects develop depression and physical illness as a result of prolonged, unnatural smiling. And higher degree of using emotion regulation on the job is related to higher levels of employees' emotional exhaustion, and lower levels of employees' job satisfaction. In most part, emotional laborers are more abused and hurt by so called black consumers who are raising complaints relating to products and services purchased against service providers for the purpose of maliciously getting compensation. Against this background, the Korean Government abolished "the Consumer Protection Act" and instead promulgated "the Basic Consumer Act" in September 2006 which stipulates that consumers are expected to have protection as well as responsibility and duty. The Aviation Security Act cites the examples of prohibited behaviors (unruly passengers) while they are travelling. In addition, human rights of emotional laborers could be more protected by the enhancement of etiquettes and cavalry and improvement of culture and working environment.

The purpose of his study was to analyze the environmental and the medical factors of prematurely discharged patients in a rehabilitation hospital. The subjects were 107 inpatients. The data were collected using self-report questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS Win 19.0 program. In result, Firstly, general selection of hospitals was the 'Recommendation' 35.5%, Environmental dissatisfaction factors are Hospital facilities 37.4%. Hospital choice is the highest 'Acquaintances' 23.4%. Second, the lowest group about professionalism, kindness, and description of explanation on satisfaction in survey is group of care workers for the sick. The highest group is physical and occupational therapist. Third, the satisfaction regarding medical procedures of administrative work, waiting time and medical expenses is the highest normal. Hospital facilities in one of the highest factors in environmental dissatisfaction is can be considered as an element of patient departure because of not much number of nervous special hospitals. Medical dissatisfaction factors is the lowest satisfaction of care worker even if those spend much time. this is the focus leaving hospital. Therefore, factors care workers on service satisfaction and dissatisfaction in analysis and problem solving is considered that the need to find ways to improve the quality of service care workers.

Token ring systems which control to switch the data stream of networks by passing the token have been widely used to medium access controls in many ring or bus topology LANs. The system could be modeled for analysis as single-server-multi-queue system of the cyclic service method. These concepts could be expanded to multi-token ring systems interconnected with single ring consisting of bridges implemented simply to be stored and transmitted. In the proposal for the performance analysis of the interconnected token ring system, in has been assumed M/G/1 queueing model that frame arrivals are the Poisson process at each station queue and frame sizes are independently and identically distributed. And the average time delays were analyzed mathematically for arbitrary frame transferred from source station to destination area. The time delay of the frame transmission could be explained as the sum of the average time which the token passed from arbitrary position to source station, such as the waiting time in the source station transferring the previous arrival frames, and the propagation time from source station to interdestinated point. These delays were given as the sum of the duration from inner and outer bridge queues, the time delays from inner and outer bridge queues, and the time from outer bridge queue to destination station. These results were investigated by varing parameters effected to total time delays. In the results, those factors to be effected to dominant the total time delays were increased were in the cases of the high arrival rates and the high ration of destination of the other outerring. The system were shown the time delays increased exponentially in spite of the priority service policy. In order to decreasing the number of outerrings and increasing the number of nodes in backbone relatively, so the systems could be decreased the total delay in the interconnected token ring system.

Purpose Recently, there has been increasing demands for clinical departments at Asan Medical center in Seoul. They want to see the results of lab tests about blood samples as soon as possible and to be reported to them on the day. As the main contents of the survey, we explained the goodness of Asan medical center's in vitro and the points to be improved. Based on this, it became an opportunity to create a positive image of In vitro laboratory. In addition, we could identify their specific requirements through the surveys. Materials and Methods In September 2016, a total of 14 questionnaire surveys were conducted for 49 clinical departments and outpatient nurses at Asan Medical center in Seoul. The survey consists of description questions to be able to express the intention of the individual and the questions made on the Likert 4 point scale. The main contents of 14 questions are composed of goodness of In Vitro laboratory and points to be improved. Results 62% answered that the best service in In Vitro laboratory was "good accuracy and reproducibility". On the other hand, as an inconvenience when requesting blood tests, 73% pointed out that "the result report time was long", which was recognized as a part to be improved. There are many contents that "The result of all tests is reported within 2 hours" on the day of the examination. In the question - 'Are there some examination results which do not coincide well with clinical observations?', 55 of 56 people answered "no". Above all, the majority answered that waiting for re-examination results is too long. This problem must be causing discomfort to the patients. Conclusion In order to improve these problems, the first thing is to increase the number of blood tests by using the current personnel, equipments and reagents to the fullest by item in Asan Medical Center's Nuclear medicine in vitro part. Secondly, in case of re-examinations, we use the "AMIS message" to show other clinical departments the reporting time. This methode improves the efficiency of work with nurses and increases satisfaction of custom service. Thirdly, the correlation was evaluated by selecting the test species that can be carried out by the shortening method. Currently, C-peptide and insulin are implemented in the reaction process to shorten 2 hours into 1 hour. Finally, we are considering purchasing new equipments for quick test results.
On December 31, 2018, an incident occurred where a doctor was attacked and killed by a patient carrying a lethal weapon in the outpatients' clinic of the psychiatric department of a tertiary general hospital. The suspect was diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder (manic depressive disorder) and has been hospitalized and cared for in the psychiatric ward of this hospital. This incident illustrates the necessity of more active cures and therapeutic intervention for mental patients with intellectual developmental disorders who require treatment considering the fact that a radical outcome has been caused by such a patient. However, on the other hand, there is also a need for an approach and analysis from the perspective of crime prevention for all medical departments. The reason for this is that even a tertiary general hospital equipped with the largest human resources, medical devices, facilities, and so forth, is susceptible to violence. As for illegal actions perpetrated against health and medical service personnel in medical institutions, such as verbal abuse, assault, injury, etc. there have neither been understanding shown for the current extent of damage in detail, nor discussions of active institutional improvement related to the seriousness of the act. It can be said that violence in the field of medical treatment is a realm requiring serious discussion and appropriate remedial actions. This is because when such incidents take place, if a patient who is supposed to get treatment from the damaged health care provider is in an urgent situation or on the waiting list of serious cases, he or she could suffer serious damage caused by deprivation of treatment opportunity, or secondary damage might be caused to the patient and/or a guardian who can hardly have an opportunity to take action. Accordingly, in this review, we would like to help create the necessary conditions for both health and medical service personnel and patients/guardians, respectively, to provide and receive medical treatment in a more secure environment. Therefore, objective assessment of the institution and issues relating to this aforementioned incident and general cases of violence occurring in medical institutions, and by suggesting legal and institutional improvements and solutions.
