Digital Twin Standardization: Trends and Future Prospects (디지털 트윈 국제표준화 현황 및 전망)

  • Digital twins are gaining attention and traction across various industries and societies owing to their potential for technological advancement, utilization, and service innovation. Digital twins involve creating a software system that mirrors a real-world entity, enabling them to interact and cooperate, therfore resembling interaction between a real-world entity and a digital twin. By recognizing the importance of this technology, international standardization efforts for digital twins are actively underway toward enhancing its application across various industrial sectors. We aims to provide an overview of the current status and future prospects of digital twin standardization, focusing on the ISO/TC 184/SC 4 and ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 41 efforts.

An Analysis of the Differences in Foodservice Industry Employees Service Orientation Factor (외식업체 종사원의 서비스 지향성 요인에 관한 차이 분석)

  • A review of literature relating to the research topic and a survey method have been implemented in order to analyze effects of service orientation. For data analysis, a reliability analysis was performed to test the reliability of the construct and a series of an exploratory factor analysis was used for the validity test. The findings of the study were as follows: Classified into sex, service leadership factor and service skill factor showed meaningful difference between groups. Classified with age, service training factor, service leadership factor, service standardization factor, service technology factor, and service compensation factor showed meaningful difference between groups. Classified with scholarship, service compensation factor showed meaningful difference. Classified into working year, employees' discretion factor showed meaningful difference. Classified into work department, service training factor and employees' right factor showed meaningful difference. In addition, classified into monthly average incomes, employees' discretion factor showed meaningful difference.

  • With the evolution of telecommunications network, the operational enviroments of a morden telecommunication network are becoming more complex and diverse. Therefore. the design of NMA( Network Management Aechitecture) that pursues standardization and openness in order to accommodatae them actively will be required. In such a network environment which composes various and heterogeneous network elements, it is not easy to surpport efficiently TMN MSs(Management Services) because it has lack of interoperability among them. This paper proposes a top-down approach being taken to design a network management architecture with establishing the hierarchical relationships of management services based on ITU-TS(Telecommunication Standardization in Europe) TMN concept, and allocating MSC(Management Service Component) by TMN management layer, and analyzing the information flow between FAs(Functional Areas).

  • Currently broadcasting and telecommunication has integrated, And IPTV Service has appeared who called TPS(Triple Play Service) which integrated with broadcasting, telecommunication and Phone Service. IPTV provide broadcasting service and VOD(Video on Demand) service, and it must be satisfied digital content security. For this condition, IPTV Forum working on standardization of interface for digital content security. The Security solution for broadcasting and VOD are CAS (Conditional Access System) and DRM(Digital Rights Management). But these solutions manufactured by many vendors, so there is no inter-operability. And after finished standardization of interface for CAS and DRM system, the problem of inter-operability with them will be issued. For this reason, Rights management system which possible to operate independently with platform is necessary. In this paper, To protect multimedia digital content, we designed and implemented Conditional Access Management System.

  • As XBRL applications for sharing the contents and semantics of business reports get activated, it is increasingly necessary to reuse components systematically by the standardization in the national level. The current standardization of Korean electronic documents follows the "Guideline for XML Documents Development", which aims to maximize the reusability of components by providing a business library as well as the UN/CEFACT core components methodology. XBRL takes the same approach with the standardization of electronic documents in that their components (concepts and their structures) are defined using XSD. In XBRL, however, concept are restricted to specific types and diverse relationship types can be defined for associating the concepts to themselves and other additional information. As a result, there are some issues that may not be solved by just applying the guideline to XBRL. This paper presents a basic method for applying the methodology to XBRL applications in order to realize the systematic reusing and standardization of XBRL documents in the national level. For case analysis, FSS (Financial Supervisory Service) income statement is employed to demonstrate the possibility of the method.

A Study on the Purchasing Practice for Standardization System for Purchasing School Uniforms (교복 구매 표준화를 위한 소비자 구매 실태 조사 연구)

  • This study suggests basic data for the standardization of school uniform purchase by examining the statistics of purchasing practice school uniforms from information sources, purchasing methods, and consumer' perception about collaborative purchases. A survey was conducted with first grade male and female middle-school students, and their parents. A total of 344 questionnaires were returned and analyzed. The results were as follows: first, when making purchases, information sources were explained by parents, friends, senior students, or workers at uniform shops. The purchasing methods were popular brand uniforms or specialized uniform shops. Second, four factors were extracted from purchasing data for factor analysis. The factors were comfort, appearance, service, other external factors, and promotions. Third, the perception analysis and need of collaborative purchases were indicated by 90% of the students' parents, who were aware of collaborative purchase. Additionally, 71.2% answered collaborative purchase was necessary. Fourth, for future uniform purchases, 75.6% of the students answered to buy more popular brands, or products from specialized school uniform shops, while 54.4% of the parents answered positively to collaborative purchases. The results of the examination of consumer school uniform purchasing behavior will provide useful strategies for the standardization system for purchasing school uniforms.

  • Research on RSS(Really Simple Syndication) based application and services are being deployed both domestically and internationally. The RSS service in the area of science and technology should be flexible to the various sources of information as well as the various platform and environments that they are being serviced. It also requires a standardized system to meet the above needs. We have analyzed the use of RSS services overseas as well as domestic services to suggest the implementation of standard system for the syndication of science and technology information based on RSS.

  • Smart City for establishing mutual communication for next-generation digital signage technology attracting attention in the tele screen service is being spread. In recent years, the state of the surrounding circumstances of the user-to-user information such as situation-based, bi-directional communication by collecting and analyzing the possible interactive tele-screen services. This study suggests the value of smart city services platform, standardization trends, domestic, and international marketability analysis information. Tele-screen service technology is able to be a high-level administrative services, and further domestic e-government technology can be spread all over the world.

Global Service Innovation: A Case Study of Ajisen Ramen

  • This study aimed to investigate the mechanism by which service companies transfer their services overseas and create new value while interacting with local characteristics. A narrative analysis method was used in a case study of Ajisen Ramen, a Japanese service company that created a Japanese-style ramen restaurant, which experienced rapid growth in China. This study analyzed the restaurant as global service innovation and constructed a causal mechanism to explain the resulting rapid growth. In the pre-entry stage, the tangible value source core service facilitated its successful overseas transfer. In the post-entry stage, value source core service standardization and value sharing were interrelated and locally accepted factors. Knowledge of the local characteristics influenced the local storefront format that allowed contact with local customers. This local front format made it possible to offer local customers new value. The global service innovation mechanism developed through this study reflects a causal diagram that correlated the theoretical concepts of these events.
