A Study on Store Image according to Clothing Shopping Orientation of Consumers (소비자의 의류쇼핑성향에 따른 점포이미지에 관한 연구: 여고생과 20대 여성소비자를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to establish store marketing strategies according to consumers pattern obtained by the importance of the image attributes of each store and a pattern of consumers based on clothing shopping orientations. 1. The clothing shopping orientations were classified into five factors. The analysis on the sample group pursuant to 5 types orientations came out the groups to pursue the royal to store & brand name, economics, shopping, convenience and fashion & confidence. 2. store atmosphere, selling promotion, servience and products were extracted from the shop image attributes. 3. As a result of comparing the importance of store image attributes as per clothing shopping orientation, the fashion & confidence pursuing group deemed store atmosphere and convenience to be the most important one. Service and convenience for the pursuing group of royal to store & brand name and the shopping pursuing group. Products, service and convenience for the convenience pursuing group. And the economics pursuing group evaluated all factors low.

The Effects of High Class Korean Restaurants' Servicescape on Customers' Emotional Response and Intention to Revisit (고급한식당 서비스스케이프가 고객감정반응과 재방문의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of high class korean restaurants' servicescape on customers' emotional response and intention to revisit. This study also examined the relationship among emotional and cognitive reactions and intention to revisit. A total of 216 questionnaires were analyzed using the factor analysis, reliability test, and structural equation modeling analysis. The results revealed that space, aesthetics and comfortableness were positively related to emotional reaction, and convenience and cleanliness were related to cognitive reaction. This study also found that intention to revisit was positively related to emotional and cognitive reactions. Moreover, it was found that think was positively related to emotional reaction, and feel, think, act and the related were positively related to cognitive reaction. Finally, cognitive reaction was positively related to revisit. The results of the study suggested that high-class Korean restaurant marketers should introduce or strengthen servicescape, brand reputation and experiences, which increased brand attitude or revisit.

Analysis of Internet Shopping-Mall Images Through Benefit Segmentation and Perceptual Mapping (혜택세분화와 인식도에 의한 인터넷쇼핑몰 이미지 연구)

  • The purpose of this study were 1) to find out the benefits sought factors and segment the customers of internet shopping mall, 2) to find out the store image factors of internet shopping mall, and 3) to analyze the internet shopping mall market using perceptual map of segmented groups. The questionnaires dealing with attribute dimension of internet shopping mall image, benefits sought, and demographic variables were selected from the previous studies or were developed for this study. The data from 319 respondents which were collected through the internet survey site was analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and $X^2$-test. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Benefit sought by consumer in internet shopping malls was found to include six different factors: assortments of products, search efficiency, brand/fashionability, delivery convenience, promotion service and informativeness. 2. As a result of subdividing the consumers, four distinctive groups were formed on the basis of benefit factors: multi-benefit oriented group, convenience oriented group, brand oriented group and low-benefit oriented group. Demographic traits such as education and income level were proven to significantly differentiate the benefit segments. 3. In the structural components of internet shopping-malls image, product/information, service/convenience and economy were drawn from attribute dimensions. 4. 12 perceptual maps of internet shopping mall image were constructed and each ideal vector were drawn.

A Study on the Preference of Hospital Names in Korea (우리나라 병원의 명칭 선호도에 관한 연구)

  • This study purposed to analyze the preference of names in Korean hospitals. Names were analyzed in terms of hospital's characteristics such as hospital type, location, ownership. Also, multivariate regression analysis was applied to assess how the amount of information measured from their names was varied by the hospitals' internal characteristics. Yearbook of Korean Hospital Association in 2008 was used to collect the study data. The full name of hospitals was divided into meaningful words to investigate the preferred words. The amount of information in hospital names was measured based on the number of words extracted. The study results showed that hospitals preferred different words depending on their characteristics. The amount of information contained in hospital names tends to decrease between before and after year 2000. Korean hospitals increased the uses of Hangeul and foreign words for their names in recent years. These changes were considered as the responses of Korean hospitals to increase competitive advantages by establishing unique brand power.

Effect of Perceived Value on CRM Quality and Purchase Intention in the Corporate Social Media Context

  • Corporate social media has been recently used in customer relationship management in many ways to improve product sales and company images. Not much research exists on corporate social media, Therefore, in this paper, we propose a research model to identify how corporate social media enhances corporate's CRM quality, resulting in forming customer's purchase intention. In detail, this paper is to examine how customer's perceived value of corporate social media influences CRM quality(CRM trust and CRM commitment), and then how CRM quality affects purchase intention. To this end, a total of 300 questionnaires were used from online panel respondents to test research hypothesis. The findings showed that service performance value and monetary value were major determinants of CRM trust, however, there was no association between brand integration value and CRM trust. In addition, the effects of service performance value and brand integration value on CRM commitment were found whereas monetary value had no effect on CRM commitment. The results also showed that CRM trust and CRM commitment played a critical role in forming of purchase intention. Theoretical and practical Implications are discussed.

The Determinants of Customer Loyalty: The Case Study of Saigon Co.op Supermarkets in Vietnam

  • Purpose: Retailing is one of the fastest-growing sectors in Vietnam. In the sight of foreign investors, the Vietnamese retailing market is very prospective. However, the current competition is very intensive, and retailers are keen on gaining new customers. Hence, Vietnamese retailers have paid more attention to customer loyalty. Saigon Co.op is one of the largest retailers in Vietnam, but its consumers have more choices over a retailer. As a result, Saigon Co.op has realized the significance of customer loyalty. This study aims to determine the factors impacting customer loyalty of Saigon Co.op supermarket in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: this study applied the multiple regression analysis with 250 samples collected from Saigon Co.op customers. The questionnaire is provided to respondents via Google Form, and the link is sent to the fan page of Co.op mart on Facebook. Two hundred eighty-seven samples were collected, but 37 samples were removed due to missing values. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and regression analysis are used for data analysis on SPSS software version 20. Results: The findings show all four determinants of Saigon Co.op's customer loyalty, including Product Quality, Brand Image, Price Strategy and Service Quality. Conclusions: managerial recommendations are provided for supermarkets to improve their customer loyalty in Vietnam and other emerging markets. Limitations and suggestions for further research are also discussed.

Male Consumers' Clothing Consumption Values and Perceived Importance of Store Attributes by Store Type Preferences (남성 소비자의 점포 선호유형에 따른 의복소비가치와 점포속성중요도)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify male consumers and examine their clothing consumption values and the perceived importance of store attributes. Using Internet-based research service, survey data were collected from 651 male consumers aged between 20 and 40. The questionnaire included questions regarding respondents' preference of different store types, clothing consumption values, perceived importance of store attributes. According to the results, the respondents were categorized into 5 distinct groups based on their store type preferences: discount store preference group, multi-channel preference group, store indifferent group, brand store preference group, online store preference group. Multi-channel preference group was the largest among these groups. The five store type preference groups statistically varied in clothing consumption values, i.e., epistemic value, brand/conspicuous value, and economic value. The groups also differed in the importance they placed in the store attributes of: service and product quality, promotion, fashionability, salesperson and store environment, store atmosphere, convenience, and website image. The results of this study have direct implication for retail marketers of fashion companies who are targeting male consumers. Marketers can apply findings of this study in implementing retail strategies for different types of stores.

Distributing Goods and Information Flow: Factors Influencing Online Purchasing Behavior of Indonesian Consumers

  • Purpose: The distribution of goods and the flow of information, determined by consumer behavior toward online shopping, is drastically popular worldwide. This study examines some factors such as brand trust, online sales promotion, consumer personality, delivery service, quality assurance, information search, and online consumer satisfaction influence online shopping behavior. Research design, data, and methodology: A constructed questionnaire in an online survey was conducted with 241 random cluster respondents in the greater Jakarta Area. Structure equation model was utilized to analyze and verify all the data. Results: Research finding indicates online sales promotion, delivery service, quality assurance, and online consumer satisfaction positively influence information search. Meanwhile, brand trust, quality assurance, and information search positively influence online shopping behavior. However, the result illustrates that consumer personality negatively influences both information search and online shopping behavior. Conclusions: To influence online shopping behavior, the most important factors that need to be considered by marketplaces are quality assurance. It positively motivates Indonesia's citizens to collect information and make unplanned purchases. The study finding can be a reference for brands to maintain and build outstanding product quality, an informational website, and an excellent marketing strategy so that customers can meet their expectations. Besides, it also broadens both companies' and individuals' knowledge about the digital revolution on consumer behavior.

Culture Marketing Activities of the Third World Food Restaurant on Visit Motivation and Revisit Intention : The Case of "Benares" (제3세계 음식전문점의 문화마케팅 활동이 방문동기와 재방문의도에 미치는 영향 - 베나레스를 중심으로 -)

  • This paper aims to examine the effect that cultural marketing influences on visit motivation and customer responses. We found that cultural marketing promotion activities by Benares, Indian restaurant had a positive effect on motivation to visit the store. Also research showed that the cultural direction and positioning marketing activities of Benares' cultural marketing had a statistically significant positive effect on all items of customer responses, that is service, atmosphere, brand but cultural promotion and cultural support marketing activities had a positive effect only on brand, except service, atmosphere. In addition, research showed that while all items of customer responses had a positive effect on revisit intention. In other words, it was proven that cultural marketing promotion activities by the Third World restaurant influence on visit motivation and customer responses and it provides practical implications to business marketers that foodservice companies' marketing associated with cultural marketing activities can be efficient marketing strategies that influence on revisit intention.

Application of AI in Marketing Strategy: Insights from Millennials and Generation Z

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the perceptions of millennials and Generation Z regarding AI applications in marketing, an area that has been rarely explored in previous researches. This study formulated research questions how millennials and Generation Z perceive the impact of brand image, AI-assistant customer service, affective factor, immersive experience, cognitive factor social factor and competitiveness of products and brands on overall attitude through the lens of AI applications in marketing. Additionally, this study also explored the influence of overall attitudes on satisfaction, intention to use, and loyalty towards AI applications. Research design, data and methodology: To gather data, this study employed an online survey conducted in collaboration with a reputable research organization. This study utilized factor analysis, ANOVA, and regression analysis for data analysis. Results: The findings revealed that the impact of brand image, AI-assistant customer service, and competitiveness on attitude demonstrated significance in both millennials and generation Z cohorts. The study identified that cognitive and social factors significantly influenced attitudes among millennials, whereas affective and immersive experiences showed significance in influencing attitudes among Generation Z. Conclusions: The findings offer valuable managerial implications, shedding light on the application of AI in marketing with distinct perspectives between millennials and Generation Z.
