식이내 섬유질의 종류가 성장기 흰쥐의 납 흡수 및 체내대사에 미치는 영향 (Effect of dietary fiber on lead absorption and metabolic changes in growing rats)

  • This study was performed to investigate nutritional effect of various dietary fibers on lead absorption and metabolism of protein and lipid in growing rats. Forty eight male rats of Sprague-Dawley strain weighing 75.7$\pm$0.7g were blocked into six groups according to body weight and fed six kinds of diet different with fiber source(non-fiber, cellulose, pectin) and lead level(0%, 1% ) for 4 weeks. Results are summerized as follows: 1) Food intake, weight gain, FER and PER were remarkably decreased in lead(Pb) added groups, and FER and PER in Pb-added pectin group were significantly lower than those in Pb-added non-fiber group. 2) Weight of liver, kidney and epididymal fat pad, bone weight and length, hematocrit, and hemoglobin content were decreased in Pb-added groups. 3) Total protein content in serum was tended to be decreased in Pb-added groups, but total lipid and cholesterol contents in serum were not different with dietary Pb level and fiber source. 4) Nitrogen, lipid and cholesterol content in liver were tended to be deceased in Pb-added groups, and especially those of the Pb-added pectin group were the lowest among groups. 5) Daily urinary and fecal excretions of nitrogen, lipid and cholesterol were decreased in Pb-added groups. Especially fecal excretions of nitrogen, lipid and cholesterol in Pb-free groups were significantly increased by dietary cellulose and pectin. 6) Pb content in blood was significantly increased in Pb-added pectin group. There was no significant decrease in Pb contents of liver, kidney and tibia, and increase in excretion of Pb by feeding dietary fibers. In conculsion, dietary fibers had no effect on the absorption of Pb, and dietary pectin seemed to increase Pb poisoning by decreasing bioavailibility of protein, lipid and other nutrients in the diet.

  • TCDD (2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin), one of the notorious toxic environmental pollutants, damages various organs including liver and is regarded as an endocrine disrupter. To investigate the effects of Houttuynia cordata Thunb (HCT) on the biochemical parameters of function, liver and serum of TCDD-treated rats were used. After 7 days from TCDD (1 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg) injection, HCT (200 mg/kg) was administered into rats intraperitoneally for 4 weeks. The lipidperoxide content was examined by measuring the level of total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, total lipid and triglyceride (TG) in serum, and malondialdehyde (MDA) in liver tissue of rats. 해조 올리고당 음료의 고지혈증 유도 쥐에 있어서 혈청 및 간장의 지질 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Seatangle Oligosaccharide Drink on Serum and Hepatic Lipids in Rats Fed a Hyperlipidemic Diet)

  • 해조 올리고당 함유 음료, 해조 음료 소재 및 해조 추출물 제품을 식이성 고지혈증을 유발시킨 실험동물에 처리하여 체중 증가, 혈중 지질성분 및 간 지질성분의 변화에 미치는 영향을 시험하였다. 식이성 고지혈증을 유도한 흰쥐에 해조 음료 및 해조 추출물 제품을 7일간 투여한 결과, 현저하게 증가되던 체중이 감소하였으며, 체중 대 간장의 무게비도 식이성 고지혈증 유도군에 비해 감소하였다. 혈청중 중성 지질 및 인지질의 함량은 식이성 고지혈증의 유도로 증가되던 것이 해조 음료 및 해조 추출물 제품의 투여로 감소되었으며, 식이성 고지혈증에 의한 혈청중 total-, LDL-, HDL-cholesterol및 동맥경화지수도 해조올리고당의 투여로서 조절되었다. 고지혈증의 유도로 증가되었던 간장 중의 총지질은 해조 음료 및 다시마 추출 음료의 투여로 현저히 감소되었으며, 지질 성분중에서 cholesterol의 함량은 혈청에서와 마찬가지로 크게 감소하였고, 중성 지질(TG, triglyceride)의 함량은 해조 올리고당 음료 식이로 30%와 다시마 추출 음료 식이로 45% 정도가 감소하는 것을 확인하였다.

대학생에서 혈액 지질 수준과 체지방과의 관련성 (The Association between Total Body Fat and Serum Lipids Concentrations in College Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 체지방률과 혈청 지질 수준의 관련성을 알아보고자 시행하였다. 2015년 6월부터 8월까지 W대학에 재학중인 남자 15명 여자 46명을 대상으로 신체계측, 체지방률, 혈액 검사 등을 실시하였다. 체지방률을 InBody 제조사 guideline에 따라 세 그룹으로 나누었는데 1군 남자의 비율은 26.7%, 여자의 비율은 10.9%였다. 세 그룹에서 체중과 체질량지수는 남녀 모두 유의한 차이를 보였으나(p<0.05) 신장은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 남자는 세 그룹에서 총콜레스테롤, 중성지방, 저밀도지단백콜레스테롤, 헤모글로빈이 유의한 차이를 보였고(p<0.05), 여자에서는 총콜레스테롤, 저밀도지단백콜레스테롤, 알라닌전이효소가 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 남녀 모두 각 변수들과의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 체지방 비율은 BMI와 높은 상관관계를 가지고 있었고, 체중, 총콜레스테롤, LDL-C와 유의한 상관관계를 보였다(p<0.05). 또한 심혈관계 질환의 위험인자인 총콜레스테롤에 영향을 미치는 변수를 파악하기 위해 총콜레스테롤을 종속변수로 하고 BMI, 체지방률, 헤모글로빈을 독립변수로 하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으나 남녀 모두 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구는 체지방률과 혈청 지질 수준과 유의한 관계가 있음을 보여준다.

녹차가루 식이가 당뇨쥐의 혈당 및 혈중 지질 농도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Green Tea Powder Supplementation on Blood Glucose and Lipid Concentrations in Rats with Streptozotocin-induced Diabetes)

  • The study examined the effects of dietary green tea powder supplementation on blood glucose, and plasma and liver lipid concentrations in diabetic rats. Twenty-five male Sprague-Dawley rats (body weight $200{\pm}5\;g$) were divided into two groups (diabetic and non-diabetic), which were each randomly divided into two subgroups that were fed a control and 1% green tea powder-supplemented diet. Serum and liver lipid concentrations were measured by established techniques. Low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) was calculated from an established equation. Body weight gain and feed efficiency ratio were lower in diabetic rats than in non-diabetic rats regardless of diet. There were no differences in weight gain in diabetic and non-diabetic rats consuming the control and green tea powder-supplemented diets. The levels of fasting plasma glucose, serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-C and atherogenic index of diabetic rats were significantly higher than that of non-diabetic rats. Conversely, the levels of high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) of diabetic rats was significantly lower than that of non-diabetic rats. Fasting plasma glucose, serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-C and atherogenic index were significantly lower in diabetic rats fed the green tea powder diet than in rats fed the control diet, and HDL-C was significantly higher in rats fed the green tea powder diet than in rats fed the control diet. The content of liver total cholesterol and triglyceride of diabetic rats were significantly higher than that of non-diabetic rats. Liver total cholesterol and triglyceride were significantly lower in diabetic rats fed green tea powder-supplemented diet than in rats fed the control diet. It is concluded that green tea powder supplementation positively influences blood glucose and lipid metabolism in diabetic rats. The present study, although not directly applicable to humans, may have some implications for individuals who habitually consume green tea powder.

Docosahexaenoic Acid의 수준별 섭취가 흰쥐의 뇌인지질 및 혈청, 간의 지질조성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dietary Docosahexaenoic Acid Levels on the Brain Phospholipids and Serum and Liver Lipid Compositions in Rats)

  • The effects of various dietary docosahexaenoix acid(DHA) levels on the brain phospholipids and serum and liver lipid compositions were studied in rats using DHA concentrated oil and corn oil as a control for 4 weeks. Serum total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol levels tended to be the lowest by adding 20% DHA to corn oil. Serum triglyceride levels significantly decreased by adding 30% DHA. Liver cholesterol and triglyceride levels were apparently decreased in the groups added above 20% DHA, especially, the lowest at adding 30% DHA. Brain weight and phospholipid content were not different among groups. The ratios of arachidonic to linoleic acids in serum and liver phosphatidylcholine(PC) were significantly decreased by adding dietary DHA and showed a flat form above 20% of dietary DHA. DHA levels of serum PC were gradually increased according to dietary DHA level. The fatty acid compositions of the brain PC and phosphatidylethanolamine(PE) did not appear any changes with accordance of the dietary DHA levels. However, compared with those of serum and liver in general, linoleic and arachidonic acid levels were very low. Oleic acids were apparently higher than those in the other tissues. DHA were higher than those in the other tissues rigardless of the dietary DHA, especially in brain PE. The ratios of arachidonic to linoleic acid were not apparent tendency in brain PC and PE. However, the ratios of brain PE were above 2 times higher than those of brain PC. As the results, the hypolipidemic effects of dietary DNA were remarkable in liver. Especially in regard to tendency of liver lipid levels and desaturation indices in serum and liver PC, the effects indicated significantly higher by adding 20-30% DHA to diet(n-6/n-3 ratio, about 4-7). Thus, in this study, these dietary DHA levels seemed to be appropriate, at least in these lipid paramenters.(Korean J Nutrition 34(2) : 132∼140, 2001)

생진감노탕(生津甘露湯)과 생진감로탕가천화분(生津甘露湯加天花粉)이 고혈당(高血糖) 백서(白鼠)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effects of Saengjingamrotang and Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis in Streptozotocin induced Hyperglycemic Rats)

  • This present study was carried out to investigate the effect of Saengjingamrotang and Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis in streptozotocin induced hyperglycemic rats. Body weigh, serum levels of glucose, insulin, total cholesterol, triglyceride and urine levels of volume, glucose, protein were measured in streptozotocin induced hyperglycemic rats orally receiving extracts of Sanengjingamrotang and Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis for 4 days. The results were as follows: 1. The change of body weight, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis concentration has the notable increase, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang concentration has no notable change, as compared to control group. 2. The change of the content on serum glucose, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang conctntration have notable decrease, as compared to control group. 3. The change of the content on serum insulin, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis concentration has the notable increase, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang concentration has no notable change, as compared to control group. 4. The change of the content on serum total cholesterol, the medication group of saengjingamrotang concentration and the medication group of Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis concentration have notable decrease, as compared to control group. 5. The change of the content on serum triglyceride, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang concentration and the medication group of Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis Concentration have notable decrease, as compared to control group. 6. The change of urine volume, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis concentration has the notable decrease, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang concentration has no notable change, as compared to control group. 7. The change of the content on urine glucose, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang concentration and the medication group of Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis concentration have notable decrease, as compared to control group. 8. The Change of the content of serum protein, the medication group of Saengjingamrotang concentration and the medication group of Saengjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis concentration have notable decrease, s compared to control group. 9. The change of body weight, serum insulin and urine volume, the medication group of saenfjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis concentration has more notable change than the medication group of Saengjingamrotang concentration, as compared to control group. According to above mentioned results, Saengjingamrotang and Saenfjingamrotang plus Radix Trichosanthis have the effect of decreased blood sugar, serum lipid levels and urine volume, protein, glucose in streptozotocin induced hyperglycemic rats, and so they were expected to be appled to the treatment of diabetes mellitus.

식물류 혼합물과 마늘의 복합 조성이 고콜레스테롤혈증 흰쥐의 혈청 지질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Plants Mixture and Garlic Composition on Serum Lipid Level of Hypercholesterolemic Rats)

  • 식물류 혼합물 1%와 0.3, 0.5% 및 0.7%의 마늘 추출물을 고콜레스테롤혈증 유발 흰쥐에 4주간 실험 급이한 후 혈액 내 지질성분에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 마늘 추출물의 첨가농도를 0.3~0.7%로 달리하였을 때 총 식이 섭취량은 정상군에 비해 실험군에서 유의적으로 높았으나 실험군 간에는 차이가 없었다. 총 콜레스테롤은 식물류 혼합물 및 마늘 추출물을 급이함으로써 대조군에 비해 약 20%, 중성지방은 9.3~15.0% 정도 감소되었으며, 인지질도 유사한 경향이었다. HDL-콜레스테롤은 대조군과 실험군간의 유의차가 없었으며, LDL-콜레스테롤은 정상군에 비해 대조군에서 9.4배 더 높았는데, 마늘 추출물을 0.5% 및 0.7% 첨가 급이할 경우 각각 $68.45{\pm}12.83\;mg/dl$$66.35{\pm}5.18\;mg/dl$로 유의적으로 감소하였다. VLDL-콜레스테롤은 마늘 추출물을 0.5% 이상 첨가 급이할 경우 정상군과 동일한 수준까지 저하되었다. 동맥경화 지수 및 심혈관질환 위험지수도 식물류 혼합물과 마늘 추출물의 급이군에서 유의적으로 낮았다. 혈당은 마늘 추출물 0.5% 첨가군에서 $189.37{\pm}12.02\;mg/dl$로 가장 낮았고, 총 단백질 함량은 식물류 혼합물과 마늘 추출물 급이시 $9.56{\pm}0.87{\sim}10.05{\pm}2.69\;mg/dl$로 정상군에 비해 유의적으로 증가되었다. GOT 활성은 마늘추출물의 0.3% 첨가군에서 $81.86{\pm}11.73\;u/ml$로 대조군에 비해 유의적인 감소를 보였고, GPT 활성은 식물류 혼합물 및 마늘 추출물 급이군과 대조군간에 유의차가 없었다. TBARS 함량은 마늘 추출물을 0.7%로 급이한 군에서 정상군보다 낮은 함량이었다. 혈청의 항산화 활성도 마늘 추출물의 0.7% 급이군에서 $83.75{\pm}2.32%$로 대조군에 비해 항산화 활성이 유의적으로 높았다.

조직배양산삼 부정근 메탄올 추출물이 식이성 고지혈증에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the MeOH Extract of Adventious Root Culture of Panax ginseng on Hyperlipidemic Rat Induced by High Fat-rich Diet)

  • We have investigated the effect of MeOH extract of the adventious root culture of Panax ginseng on hyperlipidemic rats induced by fat-rich diet. We also analyzed and compared the content ginsenoisdes of the cultured ginsengs by HPLC. After oral administration of the MeOH extract to hyperlipidemic rats for four weeks, the variables including body weight, cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglyceride levels in serum were measured. One of the cultured ginseng roots (CBN3) decreased cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol and increased HDL-cholesterol levels in serum. HPLC analysis demonstrated that CBN3 contains more $Rb_1$ and Rd ginsenosides than any other cultured ginsengs and cultivated ginseng. These results suggest that CBN3 with high contents of $Rb_1$ and Rd may be useful in lowering blood cholesterol.

고지방식이를 급여한 흰쥐의 패류가수분해물 급여 효과 (The Effects of Shellfish Hydrolysates on Lipid Metabolism in Rats Fed High-Fat Diet)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of shellfish hydrolysate on lipid metabolism in rats fed high fat diet. Male Sprague-Dawley rate weighting approximately 110g were fed basal control diet, high fat diet and high fat diet plus 4 different shellfish hydrolyates for 4 weeks. The shellfish hydrolysates from the different sources, were oyster, hard-shelled mussel, little neck clam and march clam. After 4 weeks, serum GOT, GPT, ${\gamma}$-GTP, triglyceride and total cholesterol was significantly decreased in shellfish hydrolysates supplementation with high fat diet compared to basal control and high-fat group(p<0.05). The total lipid and cholesterol content in liver showed significant decrease(p, 0.05). There were no different in serum GPT, HDL-cholesterol, liver total cholesterol and lipid of rats between basal control diet and high-fat diet. The unsaturated fatty acids, specific components of shellfishes were a little components in shellfish hydrolysate as they were a low and not different among the groups and were most well reflected in liver and plasma. Considering digestive and absorptive process of in human body, it was assumed that the hypolipidemic effect of shellfish was not under the influence of unsaturated fatty acids but the other components, peptides, taurine and betaine and so on was detected in the process of hyperlipidemia induced by high-fat diet.
