This study attempts to developing an organizational model for industrial information service a n.0, pplicable to industrial su n.0, pporting organization in every industrial sectors. An emphasis is placed on the discussion of the a n.0, ppreciation of industrial climate. Raw data is easily accessible, but industry requires judged, evaluated and assessed information. The case of Korea Federation of Textile Industries is used. The proposed industrial information service model consists of the following elements. Managerial information is frequently published, assessing information from a variety of sources and its implications on products development. Technical information is less frequently published, assessing from serials subscribing for industrial su n.0, pporting organization. Online information system could be adopted. Database such as statistics, personnel, industrial premises, exhibition, bibliographic are desirable.

Korea's information dependency on the foreign information is high and the domestic information production volume absolutely insufficient. So, research and academic library will select information resources through the limited budget and back up the research and development. This paper propose methods using union cataloging for effective journal collection development through a case study on the OCLC Collection Analysis system and Ulrich Serials Analysis System(USAS).

Research libraries have been facing serials crisis, that is the difficulties in providing information which caused by high and rapidly increasing cost of scientific journal subscriptions. This economic problem resulted in the imbalance between scholarly Publication and library resources. University libraries recognized that the commercialization of research information is at the core of the economic problem. This paper analyzes the trials and suggestions of faculty, universities, and professional societies in the United States to reforming scholarly communication system to take back intellectual property from commercial publishers and to improve scientific information exchange.

The purpose of this is to evaluate the contents through the anal us is of the merits and demerits, and its special quality of the Cutter-Sanborn Three-figure Author Table. table. The abstract of this study is as follows : With the results of the analysis of Cutter-Sanborn's Tabls, several advent-age were found in the area of enumerative-ordinal numbering system, mixed notation, and information retrieval. A defect is that each corporate author and serials and reference book's titles are difficult to be numbered, and there is serious diviation in percentages of the numbers assigned to each letter because each letter apportion rate was applied without any criteria. Such phenomenon decrease the effectiveness as author notation in several letters. The separation of headings are seriously unbalanced because the separation of heading is not consistent with actual publishing trends. This phenomenon made difficult individualization of materials in several letters.

This study intends to investigate the processing of the bibliographic relationships in the MARC formats based on the analysis to the related cataloging rules. In the traditional cataloging rules, many methods are used to process the bibliographic relationships(vertical, horizontal, and chronological), including analytics, references, notes, and independent entry. Linking entry fields in the MARC formats have been introduced mainly to process the chronological relationship in the serials, but later expanded, as a chronological in MARC format, to include other relationships applied to all other materials. Comparative analysis on the linking entry suggests that there are rare differences between UNIMARC and USMARC formats except the terminology and display constants, and that it is desirable in the KORMARC and JAPAN MARC to introduce the linking entry more comprehensively.
